Car & Caravan (Preston) Avis 

Ordered 2 x items, received confirmation of order email instantly. One of the items ordered was over 3.1M in length, this apparently was delivered to me direct from the manufacturer. Unfortunately I received no communication regarding this delivery and was only informed that it had arrived via my video doorbell and the struggling delivery person, not ideal. I could have arranged to be at home had I have known. After some days and still no communication or arrival of the second item, I called customer service to firstly be told that the item had been dispatched 4 days earlier. But following some time on hold the gentleman then said that it would be leaving their premises today. Later that day I received an email advising that both items had been dispatched and to expect delivery in 48 hours. I did receive the second item in 48 hours (7 days after the arrival of the first) with email updates from both the seller and their courier. Had the first item delivery had the same level of email communication as the second I could have arranged to be at home, firstly to assist the courier and secondly to be able to take inside such a large parcel that had to be left to the elements outside. The gentleman on the phone was helpful, email communications were hit and miss, first item was very well packaged and delivered very quickly, the second item was packaged poorly with both ends of the item exposed on arrival but no apparent damage. Both items were competitively priced but sadly my experience was impacted by intermittent communication and and a poorly packaged second item.

Only negative was the communication could be better as I did not receive updates or a delivery advisory so the awning just turned up and duly delivered. Fortunately I was in to take the delivery especially as they are difficult to handle on your own.

Right price delivered in good time. My only problem was I ordered the black sheath as per the photo but got white.

Having seen an awning we liked at the Camping & Caravan Show at the NEC recently, we shopped around on the Internet to see if the price on offer was competitive. Car & Caravan were nearly 20% cheaper for the same model. The delivery timescales were quiet broad but we were in no hurry, and once the Carrier became involved communication was good we knew exactly when to expect delivery. Awning checked over on arrival for any damage (none / it was boxed) and that all the stated items e.g. air pump were included ... no issues found. Happy with the supplier & our purchase !
