I've been a Carbonite user for about 20+ years. I have used my backup 2x during that time. The first was when I moved to my new residence, which saved my backup to recover a few files. In the summer of 2019, the second was after lightning struck my house and destroyed my desktop. A complete meltdown. I bought a new desktop and downloaded my complete files containing thousands of pictures and documents and reports and emails. This was a 100% recovery after 3 days of downloading. I have recommended Carbonite to many of my resident neighbors in this senior community. Carbonite is the best.

I like that I can depend on backup with Carbonite bc I don't have to think about it. It just does its job.

Carbonite has saved my documents on numerous occasions. I'm SO very glad I have them. Each time it was simple to reload all my saved items and I'm grateful for that, too. I'm not a techy person and the simpler, the better. I've also accidentally deleted important documents that I realized I needed later. Since Carbonite holds deleted items for 30 days, I have been able to reload that document back into existence! It's been a lifesaver! This last time (11/6/25) I had dropped my laptop with the Geek Squad for keyboard issues. They ended up resetting and wiping my entire computer. I had to reload all my apps, programs, documents, etc. Carbonite was the easiest part of the whole thing.

Have used this backup service for many years, and find it reliable, accurate, and dependable. That's why I stay with this service year after year.

When I went to renew my subscription, it somehow got charged twice. I asked them to refund one of the annual charges, they said they would just apply it to my account so I would have two year subscription. But it has never been applied to my account!!

I’ve had Carbonite for years. Got it to transfer my info to a new computer. So easy! I’m on my third computer since getting Carbonite and have transferred all my info with no problems. I like webroot too.

Always find it hard to speak to a human being

My computer guy recommended Carbonite after my computer crashed. I got Carbonite as soon as I got my new computer. Feel safe that should anything happen to my computer, my files, photos and documents are safe.
