What a fantastic company! Excellent service! The roof on my Smart Brabus Cabrio broke down. I tried to get it fixed and visited four or five different garages in London. Three of them recommended I go to Cayman, as they specialize in convertible roof repairs. I booked a diagnostic appointment, and they fixed my car that very same day.

Being an older vehicle, ours is not an easy car to look after. Many places won’t work on it as parts are increasingly rare to obtain and it’s not a vehicle they’re likely to be familiar with. However, we love it and hope to keep it going for as long as we can, which is something we would find very difficult without Cayman who, for the second time, have got our quirky hard-top convertible back on the road with a roof service and very awkward window repair undertaken with no fuss whatsoever.

The team are outstanding. You can definitely trust them to do great work on your prized convertible.

I Was recommended this firm as needed diagnostic work and repair, as have a Ford escort 30 Years old. Roof was working until last week, but recently stopped after battery disconnected and reconnected,

Emailed received email back saying they could not help with a ford escort and to take it back to main dealer or specialist. (Surely for a professional this is the easiest system, and I though these were a specialist).

Friendly, respectful, polite and most of all know their stuff. Diagnostic’s first, followed by a breakdown of what is needed and costs. Not a penny more than what they quoted and ready on time.

I live over in Jersey channel island and it’s hard to find people with roof experience, so I googled and came up with these guys on the mainland UK,and I’m so glad I did as they have completely ended the hatred I held for the roof on my z4 e89, honest to god the anxiety the roof has caused me in the past is level 10, I swear don’t put off a visit to these guys it really is good for the car and for your stress.

We had purchased an old Mercedes SLK in early 2026 and were unsure the roof worked. Additionally we had a minor water leak during a heavy down pour.
We booked it in for a diagnostic and water ingress check.
We had a extensive leaflet explaining how long the tests would take and suggestions of things to do as wll as contact with Madie. This was an absolute first for us, a garage that was helpful and proactive. This what we are all looking for when we want good service!!
On the day we arrived slightly early but an engineer came out immediately to do some preliminary tests, which confirmed a problem with the roof opening.
We left the engineers to resolve the problems and within 1.5 hours we had a phone call to confirm that the top lock switch need repair, the drains were blocked and the roof and boot seals needed cleaning. They confirmed the cost and how long it would take.
We picked the car up as suggested and were delighted to see the car in good condition with pristine looking seals and tyres. The engineer demonstrated the roof mechanism and answered all our questions thoughtfully.
Overall we had fantastic service, which is a joy to report from an automative company. We would hugely recommend Cayman Auto for their approach and professionalism and reasonable charges for restoring a non working roof.

This was the first time I had used Cayman Auto Services but it certainly won't be the last! They diagnosed the faulty top lock hydraulic cylinder on the roof on my 2005 Mercedes SL350 and were able to replace this along with the hoses the same day. Faultless customer service throughout and a job very well done. Many thanks.

I'm so happy I found this company. I had a problem with my soft top, a loud clunking sound at the end of the operation of opening the top. Chat GPT recommended them to me, I phoned them and they were very helpful, so booked it in. The experience was highly pleasurable from start to finish. The did the diagnostics then came to me explaining what the problem was and gave me the resolution to the problem, told me it would be ready in a couple of hours and the cost was reasonable ( I was anticipating it to be double) and they threw in a roof service at no extra cost! I was so happy I hugged the staff member who gave me the invoice. Cups of tea were offered more than once, very friendly staff and there were a few others waiting and we chatted away, and time flew by. I will be going back for an annual roof service and some other services they offer. I can't recommend them enough.

Brilliant all round! We live in Devon and couldn’t find anyone to fix roof problem on my c200in the county except a Mercedes main dealer at three times the cost charged by Cayman! Courteous, thorough and a pleasure to deal with. If you have a mechanical roof issue Cayman highly recommended

I had problems with My BMW Z4 metal folding roof not operating and getting stuck partly open. I live in north Kent and found out about Cayman autos in Redhill on Z4 websites, and booked my car in for repair. I went there yesterday(8:30am), fault was diagnosed within probably an hour, broken wires and switches et cetera, and repaired for pick up by 2 pm.
All staff were pleasant and very helpful, and although expensive I can now use my car with an open top.
Also I noticed many different makes of car there for roof repair/service.
I can thoroughly recommend them.

Very friendly staff, correctly identified and fixed my leaking roof issue. dropped me off and picked me up from the train station, even made me a coffee.

Did a great job of my vario roof on my SLK, very happy with the work and extremely cost effective in comparison to the eye watering dealer cost. I even ventured out in this weekends monsoon without even a hint of a leak.
