Very helpful in sorting out the currency in the denomination I wanted.

Ordered on line for better exchange rate. Once in store decided I needed an additional currency and was advised to order online. I did so, received a better exchange rate and picked up currency straight away!

Went CEC in Welwyn Garden City to collect my currency order. I had my Order confirmation, Bank card, credit card, photo bus pass, but Darren told me that I had to have passport or driving license which it said was needed. On the website it states "you may be asked for passport or driving license" it doesn't state You Have to provide. Darren said that passport of driving license was only required when paying with card but if I provided cash this was not required,
That is totally incorrect as if I paid in cash the money could be proceeds from Money Laundering, however paying by card I would have to enter my personal pin which proves money was from my Bank account.
I have used this store numerous times and even though I had my passport with me I never showed it as I paid by card. Darren needs to be sent on a Customer Service course as his attitude was both abrupt and non cooperative as well his information regarding paying by cash breaks FCA money laundering regulations.

Ordered currency online and got confirmation that money was ready very quickly. The member of staff actually told me how much each note was worth in sterling. She was very helpful.

I came to your shop in Swiss Cottage at 1;30pm Monday 13th April 2026. It was supposed to be open. I had booked my currency in advance. But there was a notice on the door saying come back after 2pm. I was not available to do that on that day.

Currency hadnt arrived when i went into store - seemed to take longer than usual. Luckily there was some notes available for me to buy but did not get the on line exchange rate. Also store closed for lunch when I went to return so had to go elsewhere. Based on this I may go elsewhere in future

We arrived at 14:45 to collect our order, only to find the shop closed until 15:15 for lunch. This closure was not communicated on your website or in the confirmation email.

This caused significant disruption, as we had parking only until 15:27. As a result, we were left with very limited time to return to our car, arriving late and under considerable pressure.

The situation escalated to the point where I had to use my asthma pump, which is not something I typically need to do. This was an avoidable outcome had the closure been clearly communicated in advance.

This falls below the standard of service expected, particularly from a provider I have used for over a decade.

This experience has been disappointing, and I will reconsider using your service in future.
