Painfully loud sound levels
Painfully loud sound levels. This was not subjective experience, my partner felt it too. It was physically painful at the loud parts, which were also distorted so it was clearly turned up too high, for the entire movie. Also when we left the screen both bins between there and the entrance were overflowing so there was nowhere to leave our rubbish. Disgusting. No reply from customer service email.

Screen was dirty, movie wasn’t shown on the full available screen for some reason, overall very bad experience. When I complained to CINEWORLD online, Hardik could offer no good will and said I need to speak to the duty manager in future. Disgraceful lack of customer service

Cineworld are the worst company for booking online that I have ever used, not only have they already taken over 240 out of my account for tickets and then sent me an email saying there is a problem with the booking but still took my money. They do not OFFER a telephone service to contact them which for a company of this size with time relevant tickets etc. I find this disgusting. No wonder the company has been suffering recently, it has definitely made me think if I ever want to use this company again.

Title: A Disappointing Experience on a Day That Mattered
We visited Cineworld Wolverhampton to celebrate my daughter’s birthday—a day that held deep emotional significance for our family due to my partner’s serious health prognosis. Unfortunately, the screening was disrupted, and the atmosphere was far from what we had hoped for on such a meaningful occasion.
Despite explaining the situation to Cineworld Customer Services, the responses we received were generic and impersonal. The offer of complimentary ticket codes felt like a standard gesture rather than a sincere attempt to acknowledge the emotional weight of the experience. Even after escalating the issue, we were redirected to a web form and received no meaningful engagement.
We weren’t looking for compensation—we were hoping for empathy and understanding. Sadly, Cineworld’s handling of this situation has left us feeling dismissed and unheard. We won’t be returning.
I hope Cineworld reflects on how it treats customers during moments that truly matter. Sometimes, a little compassion can make all the difference.
Odeon from now on
I've previously enjoyed going to cineworld many times over the years, but after seeing Jurassic Park Rebirth last week in Leicester Square on their 3D 4X screen, I have to say the quality of the film was utterly dreadful. Some parts were fine, but some were totally unwatchable. After paying a lot to see this film with my carer, I'd expect a better level of quality, especially as they say they offer a crystal clear picture. We were told that the manager was too busy to talk to us and were told to complain by email, which we did, and received yet another pathetic response. We will take our custom to Odeon in future. Dreadful service.

Cineworld cardiff had amazing staff service. A girl named Naiya, she was so lovely, as a gay person myself I felt all the good energy. She was uo fir a good chat and overall a lovely person. Woukd love to get a job just to talk to her xxx
Deafeningly loud. Will be cancelling annual membership
I used to enjoy coming to this cinema but they now persistently have the volume so loud that it is unbearable. The "manager" was less than useless, met our complaints with a disinterested shrug and basically told me I was imagining the problem.
We have had to leave without even seeing the film tonight as my arms were aching sitting there with my fingers in my ears.
Whilst they denied there was a problem with the volume, they also had a stock of industrial noise cancelling headphones to hand out! However this was like putting my head in a vice.
No wonder they have barely any customers. We are cancelling our membership as the experience and customer service is abysmal.
Do they really think this level of service good enough to stay in business
Their system did not accept the vouchers they issued issued, so i was forced to book and pay again. I tried again. Again it took the money and i booked the seats i wanted. The receipt showed six seats that i did not want so i had to cancel and book again. Third time lucky i managed to get what i wanted to, but am now trying to get a refunds for booking errors caused by their systems. They call this a convenience charge.. Its anything but convenient as its taken me over two hours to pull all the evidence together with pictures of screens. I decided to drop them a line on their contact us site. Having written out yet another mail and attaching pictures etc i was required to verify that i was not a robot by selecting parts of an image but this did not work either. Moreover deleted what i had written and presented me with a blank form again. One star is far to high to this level of service. Am looking forward to reading about them going bust because Management fail to build systems that work.
No air conditioning
We saw f1 the movie at Ashford imax at the 19:00 show the screen was marvellous and the view was good BUT the sound on the trailers was deafening and there was no air conditioning so it was really hot and we were sweating and so stuck to the leather seats and it continued all evening so made it very uncomfortable.
Unless there’s air conditioning on do not sit in the imax it’s not worth the £22 a ticket to sweat through the film
25 minutes of bullying to watch…
25 minutes of bullying to watch adverts! When this kind of dictation happens in international relationships it is called anti democracy right? what is it called when you force your customers to watch 25 mins of ads each time without their will? Nobody wants but to be dictated by your company to watch ads this long!
Cineworld Unlimited is very, very limited.
Reviewing the Cineworld Unlimited membership scheme. It should be called 'Cineworld Very Limited Indeed'. It claims you can watch as many films as you want. That's so far from true it's laughable. If you want to watch a film late morning or early afternoon and you book a few days in advance you've a chance of being able to use your membership. But the vast majority of attempts I make to book a film at a time I can actually make I'm told "no unlimited tickets available for this showing". Almost nothing is available as an unlimited ticket. If you're trying to book on the day, forget it. It's not for people who are working normal hours. If you're retired or a student or shift worker you might get your money's worth. I've given it 4 months but won't be renewing it again.

No sc, no fans on a 31c day. Staff didn’t care. Customer service don’t reply. They don’t care about you, don’t mind what you paid for/been lied too.

Absolutely terrible experience with Cineworld. The staff are completely untrained and blatantly lie to customers. They booked me the wrong tickets and promised I could get a refund if I went through customer service. But guess what? Once they’ve taken your money, they stop replying. It’s a complete scam. I’ve now seen that this is a common tactic – they tell the staff to lie just to push other ticket sales, knowing full well they won’t refund you later. This company is dishonest and operates in bad faith. Avoid them – they steal from people.
Long time lover
I've been an unlimited member for about 18 years now. Yes, there have been a few frustrations - they seem to have very fragile escalators that are always breaking down - but I've never had any serious issues and always find the staff helpful and chatty.
I've seen hundreds of films over the years and it would have been at least four times the price without unlimited, so I'm forever grateful.

Cineworld have no phone number so you can’t phone them direct, I’m assuming this is because there customer service is so appalling they discontinued a phone service, so now you have to email them, which is a waste of time as they don’t reply to emails, they also take 3 days to reply with “can I help” on their messenger Facebook service, to which I replied and they haven’t messaged me back since, they do not adhere to terms and conditions as stated on their own website, I don’t think I’ve ever had such a terrible customer service experience

Just spent the best part of 40 minutes trying to renew my subscription. Both the website and app are out to frustrate you.
I love my local cineworld and was at the point of going to the Vue instead.

What a shambles at Brighton Marina
What a shambles at Brighton Marina. Spent an hour on bus to get there. £20 on drinks and popcorn. 3D not working. Had to get a refund. Got 2 free tickets to another film but nothing for the food and drinks. or for a taxi home. Never again. Ruined our evening

Inadvertently booked and paid for cinema tickets, not realising I went to the wrong theatre. I had to pay again for the tickets. Was told to contact customer services to get a refund. Have contacted customer services twice, still no response. Looking at the reviews I can see that they couldn’t care less about their customers.
