Countrywide Grounds Avis 

Hired by Livewest, all they do is cut the grass, hedges are supposed to be trimmed, that never happens, last year some residents (including myself) paid the previous company to cut them, it's wrong that we have to pay twice, have emailed Daniel Gaunt twice, no reply, but not surprised, I've put Aug 25, but it was before that and still nothing has changed.

countrywide have a contract with codi my housing provider to provide the grounds contract, they park their van right outside my property when they can park it elsewhere, complaints seem to go nowhere with them.

Disrespectful and rude.
Cutting grass at 7.30 am, since when hasn't the rules applied to this company???. Employed by newydd so know it's a cheap company and it shows in there attitude and grass cutting. Worst ever. Complaints going to ombudsman and environmental health.

Been dealing with this company for while through newydd/cadarn well what can I say, they wake you at 7.30am for access to your garden.
Then all they do it's shout at each other. Takes them 2hrs then to cut a small garden. Worst grass cutters newydd/cadarn ever employed

Staff rude couldn't care less never complete the job properly and have to be asked to do the cut again. No respect for customers. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE AWFUL.

Hired by the council to do obligatory grass cutting. Somehow takes them 4+ hours to do one small patch of grass. But will start the work at 7:45AM! No regard for anyone else

Adam and his team from South London/North Surrey visited my property to trim back three oak trees that were considerably overhanging my garden. From first conversation Adam was an absolute gentleman and assured me his team would do a fantastic job. On to the result - WOW. What a top job. Exactly what was needed and more. If there’s a better team than this for the job I’d be shocked. 10/10 and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending in a heartbeat.

Chris came out with his team today and mowed all the communal area along with parts missed which were not on the original job sheet last time . Strimmed and weed killed the pathways .we did have a negative experience beginning of June which I have now deleted as I was informed this was with operatives who no longer work for the company - however today Chris and his team have been very thorough in their job . . 👍

They parked at the end of the road. Then later they drove away.
They do the minimum.
What a bunch of skivers.
I will complain to our housing management company.
Observed over 2 years they seem to be just filling time not actually doing a useful job. For example
leaf blowing the only six leaves in the carpark. 🫤 I suppose someone could of slipped on them🤨.
If it was my choice I would never employ this company.
A waste of our service charge.

Absolutely fuming ! The mess they have left ! Blowing all leaves from the area right outside my house and even into my garden and alleyway, they never clean up after themselves all they do is blow the leaves and leave them outside my house ! Absolutely disgusting company.

We have been with Countrywide for a number of years, but over the last 2 years they have been terrible. We are a school and have had to cancel tournaments as the grass was too long and dangerous, but each time we made a complaint we were greeted with quite aggressive replies, even when we send over photos of uneven football pitch lines, overgrown bushes and numerous weeds we were told the weather had been challenging and it was difficult to deliver perfect result. Our school has never looked so rough. Luckily we are now moving to a different company in September whose 1st challenge is to complete the jobs Countrywide never completed.

Just encountered a delightful employee of theirs who called me all the names under the sun as well as thick as f***, for parking in a car park. Maybe if you do not wish for people to use the parking spaces either as politely for them to move or use cones, so people know not to park there. Absolutely disgusting representation of the company and vile man.

I understand one man is not a reflection of the company, however I have tried to call with no answer and email but they don't have an email address made public.

Not used your services but poor experience with one of your drivers just now. A133 approaching a120 slip. Speeding to prevent my overtake (I'm doing 70 and him in a van doing more than that with a 60mph in a van). Then once on the a120 he did 60 left hand lane , I moved over to overtake at 70. He pulled out last second in front of me. I had to slam on the brakes. He then sped off faster than the 70 I was doing (speeding again). Last I saw him was the slip at the Colchester exit. He didn't indicate and turned off 1st exit. Hope you groundwork is better than the driving. Date 22/5/25. Small white van. 6:35 when I 1st encountered him.

I would not employ anybody from this company a load of lazy grounds men who get paid for not doing nothing,they really do not like work. I have lived at Talbot Court Flats Teignmouth Devon for many years as it has been a on going problem that the grounds men do not turn up to sweep the car park, this is only job they have to do at this property, although myself and many residents have complained numerous times to sovereign housing association exeter we are still left in this situation having to clean the car park area out selfs, this is appalling as the residence are being charged for a service they don’t receive.

This company employ very abusive staff who like using the "f" word if you complain that they haven't done the job they are paid to do correctly. Worst employee is a so called supervisor who has a really bad attitude problem who covers the Rhondda Cynon Taf area.

This company DESTROYED my grandfather's grave by dropping petrol on the slab of the gravestone, they are contracted through my local council and whilst the council have admitted that this company has damaged the gravestone (without naming them, I had to find out through a third party), the company itself REFUSE to admit liability, instead saying that we did it to the grave ourselves which is absolutely DEPLORABLE!!! I am absolutely devastated and livid with how my grandfather's resting place has been treated and that they try to push blame onto us! The stonemason has tried everything to take the stain out but it is completely destroyed and our family are heartbroken! This is not the first time that this company has done things like this in the cemetery as I've heard of MULTIPLE complaints about damage to other gravestones due to this company! Now I'm left trying to find a way to restore my grandfather's grave which myself and my family cannot afford to do, but why should we? We didn't damage it unlike this company claims we have done! Absolutely disgusting!

Parkside House, Salcombe, Devon. You might just as well tear up the contract our housing association has with Countrywide. Only TWICE! this year they have actually bothered to get out of their van and do works on the property and this was after endless complaints to the housing association who are just as bad. The garden is overgrown and the hard area is slippery with dead grass and moss. Oh, and this year the charge to residents for this abominable excuse for a service increased by 400%. The only thing that surprises me is that they visit in a van and not on a horse.

Van reg GD19 UDY. 8AM there is a handful of employees working on behalf of the vale of glamorgan council. Smoking weed while operating a vehicle, shortly after will be using power strimmers and lawnmowers in the public area.
Also the same company and possibly workers who love to send fireworks over a community centre, building site and school.

Regulary didn't turn up to site, but charged anyway, had the account manager visit, he was apologetic about the state of the site, but did nothing to sort it out, suggested we up the visits, then no-one showed up at all to do any work.

Damaged my car during work refused to look into incident refused to accept liability been over 9 months now and company director was very rude and insulting leaving me with reairs around £1000
