Was not possible out 0 stars or negative...thats why i put One star....Very disappointing experience with CPE.
I submitted a credit application and provided all the documents they requested. After that, I tried several times to contact them by phone and email to get an update on my application, but I received very poor communication and no proper follow-up.
I sent multiple emails without receiving a response. I also tried calling several times, but I could not get proper assistance in English or French, and on some occasions the call was simply ended without my issue being resolved.
Eventually, I received a message saying that they had not found a solution for my application, but without any proper explanation or useful follow-up.
I completely understand that a credit application can be refused. That is not my main complaint. My problem is the lack of communication, customer service and transparency throughout the process.
For a company dealing with people's financial situations, I expected much better professionalism and customer support.
Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend CPE.

Same bad experience. Provided all the information and they couldn't give a clear answer on the interest rate they will apply on my situation via email or phone. This is unusual with all the banks and brokers that i have worked with so far. Also, the application was made on finday which i believe is a subsidiary and the follow-up made on cpe-credit. So the lack of clarity and transparency is suspicious enough for me to stop the process and not proceed further although the interaction with sales representative was good.

After several days providing all the info and docs via email i was granted a car loan. I took day off as i got an appointment in Brussels to sign the contract last Tuesday 7th with CPE-CREDIT POPULAIRE. I was told that in 2-4 days the money would be in my bank account. The following day, Wednesday 8th, I paid 500 euros to the car dealer to reserve the car i wanted to buy. Yesterday, Monday 13th, i emailed CPE-CREDIT POPULAIRE because the money had not been transferred yet. Their answer was that my employer is in The Nederlands and they have refused the credit. I had the loan signed and approved. Besides, the docs attached previously provided to them as well as all the info in written via email stated clearly that i am resident in Ghent and i work in southern holland. That is actually the reason why i need to buy a car, to drive to my office, and that is why i apply in Belgium, because is in Belgium where i live and where the car need to be registered. I am currently getting legal advise to sue them as they breached the contract. Fortunately i have everything in writing so that i can perfectly prove what i am claiming. It is 3 weeks since i started the application and i find myself without car and 500 euros lost because of CPE-CREDIT POPULAIRE. After this experience the only thing i can tell is AVOID THEM.
