Superior blue crab meat
Superior blue crab meat. I’ve ordered both the lump and jumbo lump crab meat from Crab Dynasty Seafood and both were beyond expectation. Nice, fresh crab meat picked to perfection. I didn’t notice any shells in the meat which was always a turn-off for me when purchasing from other companies. I will only order blue crab meat from Crab Dynasty Seafood from now on.

Chemical-plastic like taste in crabs
I ordered bushel of large male steamed crabs on a Wednesday to ship to NJ from Crab Dynasty. Crabs were delivered on Friday. Hen we opened box we noticed a smell but thought it was just packaging. We noticed the crabs were packed in bubble wrap on top, middle and bottom. Before unpacking someone had pulled off a leg to taste and immediately noticed a chemical/plastic-like taste. We thought that crab was just one that touched the bubble wrap. The crabs were unpacked and we tried tasting again this time not only legs but body open to taste internal meat. The crabs had this same strong chemical/plastic-like smell and taste through out. We genes thought it would get better maybe by letting air a bit but that strong taste was still in the meat. We contacted Crab Dynasty same day ordered delivered but no response. I expect the bushel was steamed and packed (in plastic) for shipment on Wednesday. The warm crabs had two days to warm up toxins from plastic which absorbed into crabs. We have crabs shipped to us several times a year. However, packaging was always the brown packing paper … never plastic. Unfortunate that Crab Dynasty reached out to get a review but not to address the chemical tasting crabs shipped.

We’re very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your order, and we take a complaint like this very seriously. We have reviewed the details of your order and our packing process, and we want to clarify a few things.
Our steamed crabs are not placed into the shipping packaging while they are hot. They are allowed to cool before being packed and shipped, so the idea that the crabs were packed hot and then sat for two days absorbing toxins from the plastic does not reflect how our crabs are handled.
We also use the same packing process regularly, and in our 10 years of business we have never experienced a situation like the one described in this review. While we cannot determine from the review exactly what caused the taste or odor you experienced, we certainly do not want to dismiss your concern.
This was your first order with Crab Dynasty, and we’re especially disappointed that your first experience did not meet expectations. We also apologize if you felt we did not respond promptly when you contacted us. We would have much preferred the opportunity to speak with you directly, investigate the order, and work toward a resolution rather than have you feel that your concerns were overlooked.

I looked on your website and it was misleading from the product I paid for . I've been calling your office to talk to someone and no one has call me back. I spent $549.00 for your crabs legs. I was lead to believe in your website that I was getting a cluster of crab legs, all I got was one crab leg in the package. This order was not an online order it was made on the phone. Thank you for reaching out, and we’re sorry for the confusion regarding your order. We completely understand how the photos on the website could have given you a different impression of what to expect.
We did review your order, and you received 4 gigantic King Crab legs, with each individual leg weighing over 1 pound. The product listing does specify the quantity as 1 leg per unit, and the description explains that these are sold as individual, extra-large King Crab legs rather than clusters. Based on the product you ordered, you did receive the quantity and size advertised.
That said, we truly appreciate your feedback. We never want a customer to feel that the pictures or presentation of a product were misleading. We’re going to review the product photos and description and look at ways we can make the quantity and portion size even clearer so customers know exactly what they will receive before placing an order.
We don't have a Rich that works here, but I'll circle back around to see who you may have talked to. We’ll make sure your concerns are addressed and appreciate you bringing this to our attention!
Food is good, packing was awful
Crabs were good. Crab balls were amazing, I just hate the way they were packed. The styrophome in thr box broke and so the box was soaking wet. And made a big mess on my porch and kitchen. Should put the crabs in a bag before packing them to avoid the mess.

The experience was amazing
The experience was amazing. Ordering was easy and the setup for delivery was amazing. The above and beyond that definitely made this experience top notch was the fact that currently we are in the middle of a storm and I emailed support to ask what would happen if the delivery doesn't make it to me and the response was that if the delivery doesn't make it we can reorder at no cost to me or they would provide a refund. This was definitely the most assuring response I could expect.
Delivery did get here in time and those crabs were huge and meaty. They were cooked to perfection and was packed properly.
Will definitely order again. Possibly very soon.

Blue Crab in Aspen Colorado
From start to finish, everything was great. They were delivered on time. I even loved the way they were packaged. The crabs were exceptional. Every single crab in my 1/2 bushel was heavy and tasty. I ordered them with the regular level of seasoning and perhaps next time would ask for some extra seasoning on the side for those who wanted more.

The crabs were small and not large. There should have been ice packs in the cooler and clam stripes and and o C oysters where not frozen. Had to cook them immediately.
