What can I say about cretarent...?
Probably the best car rental company I have ever dealt with.
From the initial booking to being met by the lovely Maria at arrivals. A hassle free experience all round..!! No big deposits and unlimited mileage a big plus. Car modern with fantastic air-conditioning. If in crete don't rent anywhere else. Brilliant company 👌👌👍

We ordered by internet a small automatic, diesel for 13 days in June 2019.
We have payed 384€ by cash on arrival.
The car was a Citroen C3 with GPS, all insurance, rather old but OK.
No problem while our holydays, At the end, we left the car at the airport, the keys in the gloves box.
Good price, good car, friendly staff, all was perfect.
I recommend.

Ahhh dimenticavo auto con 20000 km quindi nuova

Fanno base in un baretto, utilizzando uno dei tavoli esterni. Pagamento in anticipo con Paypal o da loro anche con carta di credito. Senza ricevuta. Avevamo prenotato una Fiat Doblò perchè in 5 con 5 valige. L'auto aveva 103.000 km, non era pulita (lavaggio veloce esterno, polvere all'interno) ed era macchiata dall'utilizzo uso spiaggia di qualche anno. Quindi la sensazione generale era di un veicolo sfruttato e non pulito. Ma il motore è stata la vera chicca: un diesel sfruttatissimo che non aveva più potenza: in prima in salita bisognava sfruttare la propria bravura con la frizione, tra prima e seconda un abisso! O tiravi le marce oppure non potevi marciare in maniera fluida. Fatto notare al proprietario, mi ha detto che non sono capace di guidare una diesel (in 25 anni di guida ne ho guidate più di 10 solo diesel) e lo invito a fare un giro insieme: tira la prima e la seconda a 4.000 giri e per farlo nella concitazione gli rimane la pallina del cambio in mano... Le benzina necessitano di arrivare più su come giri, le diesel danno la coppia massima tra 1500-2000 giri. Il suo modo di fare mi ha confermato che il veicolo non era in grande forma.
Ho scelto questa compagnia perchè più economica, ma se volete un veicolo fresco, pulito e performante...scegliete altra compagnia.
Inoltre l'intimidazione di non andare a Balos non sta nè in cielo nè in terra.

Avevo prenotato un auto nella settimana di ferragosto, da ritirare in aeroporto di Heraklion. Una volta arrivati, ci accoglie un loro dipendente che ci accompagna sotto al chiosco di un bar (quindi non hanno una loro vera postazione, almeno così ci è sembrato). A quel punto un altro dipendente ci avvisa che erano disponibili solo auto con cambio automatico. Avendo fatto presente che non ho mai guidato questo tipo di vettura, non vuole darcela ed aggiunge che se avessimo voluto aspettare un auto a cambio sequenziale, avremmo dovuto aspettare due ore. Altrimenti, aggiunge, che potevamo benissimo andare a chiedere ad altri autonoleggi.
Quindi, in completa noncuranza, ci lasciano a noi stessi. Per fortuna alla fine abbiamo trovato altro.

Rented a car from 9 to 17 may 2018. My request was answered immediately and offered a very competitive price. Brought to the hotel a brand new car from the salon!!! At the end of the rental period left the keys at the reception . Very happy.

We have used Cretarent for our twice yearly trips to Crete for quite a few years now. Always the same excellent service. Great prices, No hidden costs, no deposit, and full insurance. A member of their friendly staff is always waiting with a sign when we hit arrivals, and cars are always clean and tidy.
All in all a perfect service.

The team at Cretarent are truly wonderful. Michael was right where he told us he would be when we landed at the airport in Crete and it was so easy picking up the car to start our adventure in Crete. When we dropped the car back, my phone ended up falling into a gap under the passenger seat which I didn't discover until my plane was about to leave. My phone was so hidden but Michael and Keri did not give up looking for it and it was found, much to my relief!!! Keri and Natasha were so kind and helpful in organising it to be couriered back to me in Australia. The service and cars are excellent at Cretarent and I highly recommend using them in Crete.

auto consegnata all'arrivo in aeroporto dopo un veloce check in poichè era gia stata pagata online.registrazione dei documenti e consgna dell'auto addirittura di taglia piu grande di quella pattuita.interni sinceramente non molto puliti ma auto comodissima e nuova .
alla riconsegna niente storie e in 5 minuti dal check out si è in aeroporto a piedi.
Per quanto mi riguarda,viste le numerose esperienze di autonoleggio all'estero,una delle migliori.tornerò a Creta e noelggerò di nuovo l'auto con questa compagnia.

gave us the car with no place for baggage. The Navigator is in Greek, we couldn't use it but anyway we paid for that. they told us that we must drive safety as they have BAD wheels. (they should have changed if its bad condition!!!) They gave us the car with NO fuel. They even didn't tell us about there is no fuel left. we paid for fuel for 80euro. We said them if they can pay back even some of the cost. they said they have the policy that they don't pay any fuel. I just don't understand. they have the policy that giving the car with no fuel?
so we paid 460euro for 10days + 80euro for fuel. the car was poor. it mustn't cost so much. I will never ever use it. and dont recommend anyone.

Ho dato 3 stelle anzichè 1 solo perchè hanno rimediato a quanto segue:
alle ore 24 (notte) con bambina di 3 anni mi consegnano una macchina che internamente puzzava di urina, con un seggilino per babini rotto e sporco, il motore benzina con 75.000 km si fermava a 4.000 giri e faceva un rumore sinistro, gomme vecchie e dure come sassi. Prima mi hanno fatto pagare poi mi hanno dato la macchina, dileguandosi il piu' velocemente possibile. Ho chiamato Cretarent e il titolare ( molto cordiale e disponibile) mi ha mandato un altra macchina dopo 2o minuti. Internamente pulita, seggilino bambino nuovo, 70.000 km ma motore prfetto. PRIMA DI PAGARE ESIGETE DI VEDERE LA MACCHINA E CONTROLLATE MOTORE, GOMME E PULIZIA.

Ottima compagnia di noleggio. Disponibili per ogni richiesta, prezzi adeguati, auto nuova e in perfetto stato.
Inoltre puntualissimi per la consegna (in hotel) e riconsegna (in aeroporto).
Si può prenotare la macchina a distanza di tempo e pagare all'arrivo.

After agreeing for a price of 42.5 euros per day via email confirmation, we met with the son of the owner at the port: he asked us for 56 per day just like that and started laughing at us when we were trying to discuss.

Exhausted and in deep need of rest we managed to get 52 per day and accepted the "deal": I wish we never did! As soon as we turned on the air conditioning, a very very bad smell came in the car, and we had to stand that for all the legnht of the trip! Plus, we recieved a car key without any remote control: every time we wanted to open the boot we had to get in, power up the car and press the lock button twice. It's really a shame because in Santorini we got the same car for 44/day and everything went accordingly.

Just good customer services, car delivered on time as agreed to hotel. Returned to airport. No cons about all cover insurance, no accident excesses in the hundreds. Car given to us with quarter of a tank and that's how we returned it.

Our last experience in Spain with Goldcar had been horrendous leaving my husband spending hours on the phone trying to recover money taken from our credit card without permission or agreement. If you go to Crete use this local, reliable company. All transactions in cash.

If you want a car rental…you ned to come here…they are fast, reliable and quick to get you in your car and going. They have affordable, cheap prices for the car you want to get. They have the cars you want in excellent condition! Couldn't have asked for anything more. They people working here were reliable and friendly as well! You could ask them anything and they would help you out! The new cars are what definitely got me to use Cretarent. Use them if you want to be comfortable in any car while you're here!
