Crown Currency Exchange Avis 

I'd give them 0 if it was possible. They are scammers. I was too trusting. I went there and exchanged multiple currencies for a multi stop trip. I have been fuming at prices in Morocco! As I have been working out costs by dividing the MAD prices by the rate crown gave me (3.8) and then today while trying to barter I google the rate to show the man the MAD amount for what I wanted to play for the items in AUD - the rate is 6.01 and that is down since when I was there to exchange. No wonder she said come back with what ever I dont spend and she will exchange it back to AUD again, she wants to screw me over again!!. I will be checking the rates I've got on the other currencies I got against the rates online when I have access to them. Don't trust them

I recently exchange a few variety's of currency which now I probably wish I hadn't but I'm sure it would of been the same anywhere else....
I was served by Jasper and was more than happy with his impeccable customer service but very let down by the rates ,
But what can you do if you need the cash in currency..
Jasper's sophistication and disciplinary work ethics assured me well maintenance..
Despite the disappointment in the hidden high rates and charges , it was great to of had Jasper there as his service made up for it momentarily...

Last time I obtained foreign currency from these folks the rates were good. Yesterday, went to the same exchange and was told I was being given senior = premium rates for multiple currencies required. We should have checked the exchange rates (but unlike banks, etc not listed online). The exchange rates were terrible and would have been much better off buying main currency from my bank. I won't use them again.

The correct currency rate for Egyptian points is 31 pounds for 1 AUD. They gave me 14 pounds per AUD. I have lost hundreds of dollars.

Reviews say lots of five stars and excellent exchange rates. The exchange rate for thaiBaht that day was 21b to $Au. While there’s a sign on the counter saying not to rely on internet for exchange rates, they claimed the baht was 18b - $1, on top of this they charged 27% fee. Somethings not right here.

We went to exchange money from AUD to VND in Canberra yesterday. We looked at couple of places and chose this one as they have high Google review rate. Little do we know that they offered insanely low rate but acted like they did us a special deal. At first, they will ask you how much you wanna exchange, gave you the amount in other currency and said that they give you better rate by taking $5 off. We could have gotten better rate as 13,400vnd/1AUD and they tricked us to 10,000 vnd/1 AUD. After the exchange, they asked us to leave the good review on Google in return for their “good deal”. No wonder why they are highly rated on Google

I recently changed for US$600 to Australian dollars and I get very low rates. This is a scam. Like I lost around 100AUD in exchange.

Exchanged $500 aud to Yen. The yen was weaker on the day one aud dollar was to 101.36. 23. 10.24, I lost $ 50.00. How does one charge $ 50.00 against $500.00. How does one justify such rip off. My mistake i sent my friend to do for me. They took complete advantage of him. I ve been exchanging money for do many years against USD, STERLING/POUNDS/EURO, PESO, etcc never lost so much in one transaction. Stay away. They ll rip you off. Need refund.

Warning. If you are planning to exchange some money with this mob please check the exchange rates carefully - and then do so again. If you dispute a transaction with them they might call the cops. #travel #exchange

Yeah... "No Commissions" means this mob COMPLETELY gouges you when it comes to the exchange rate they inflict on you (which they don't show you off the bat to begin with because eye-watering surprises are there for grins, so it seems).

Bought FJD2450.00 for AUD2025.00 on 29/08/24 - An effective exchange rate of FJD1.2098 per AUD, whereas the spot price as per a Google search on the same day showed an exchange rate of about FJD1.5020 per AUD. If, on the other hand, I'd gone with a service like Wise to make my Fiji purchases then I'd only have to deal with a ~4% commission *and* would have had closer to FJD3040 to play with.

The "no commission" reamed me out to the tune of FJD591 (or about AUD393).

I understand it’s my fault for not doing my research before hand but I lost a lot of money exchanging $AUD 600 and got VND 600 000 000.I could have gotten above VND9.5 million if I had gone somewhere else.And I also don’t get a digital receipt, they gave me a paper one saying the wifi was down.This was Monday and today it’s Thursday.Avoid at all costs!!!

It's an absolute rip-off. I exchanged AUD for AED with an exchange rate of 1.89 and lost about $300. Avoid at all cost.

I realised rather late, that my Cash Passport was no longer valid and I wouldn't be able to reinstate it. I did not have the 5-7 days it takes these kind of cards to get delivered via the mail. I went to get cash, but these lovely people have cash passports they can activate and load, on the spot! Oh happy days!! Such a relief. All set to fly now! It was so easy. What a rip off!!. Lost almost 180AUD exchanging 500 AUD to VND. Please avoid

Friendly staff, but their rates have dropped off over the years. I have used them on three occasions, and their rates have always been very competitive, but this time they were very poor. I should have just stayed with my bank, it would have been much easier and saved me the bother of travelling to the city.
Bottom line, do your research (I wish I had)
