I had a very disappointing experience with this firm. PLEASE DO NOT USE.

Communication throughout my transaction was poor from Ashleigh, a paralegal not Solicitor! who was put in charge of my case. I regularly had to chase for updates, and responses were often delayed or unclear.

During the transaction, I was given incorrect advice on a number of occasions, which contributed to delays. Despite there being no chain involved, the purchase took around six months to complete, far longer than I had expected. The process felt unnecessarily drawn out, and I was left having to continually seek updates rather than being kept informed.

Most concerning is that, seven months after completion, I still have not received the updated Land Registry title documents or any evidence that the property has been registered in my name. I have had to contact the firm myself to request confirmation and the relevant post-completion documents. They have not responded despite being chased!

Overall, I found the service disappointing due to the poor communication, delays, lack of proactive updates, and the ongoing failure to provide the expected post-completion documentation. I will be making a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman if this is not imminently resolved.

Stay clear of this firm.

⭐☆☆☆☆ **Very Disappointing Experience – I Would Not Recommend**
Unfortunately, my experience with **CTW Solicitors** was extremely disappointing.
My property sale took **five months** to complete, and much of the delay appeared to be due to poor communication and a lack of urgency. Throughout the process, I had to repeatedly chase for updates, and responses were often slow.
There were several mistakes that should not have happened, including my paperwork being misplaced and my name being spelt incorrectly on legal documents. These errors caused unnecessary frustration and did not inspire confidence.
To make matters worse, additional charges were added during the transaction, which was disappointing.
Ironically, the buyer also used CTW Solicitors (through a different branch), yet the transaction was still significantly delayed. This suggests that using the same firm did not improve communication or speed up the process.
Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone buying or selling a property carefully considers other solicitors before choosing CTW. A property transaction is already stressful enough without having to constantly chase your legal representative for progress.
I can only comment on my own experience, but unfortunately, I would not use CTW Solicitors again or recommend them to others.

Everything went as well as possible. Buying a leasehold is a longer process than freehold but we completed in 4 months without needless delays.

We have been so delighted with the performance, the ability and the patience and understanding that Xanthe and her team have shown.
