Milton Keynes branch for new reading…

Milton Keynes branch for new reading glasses. The optician was so professional, knowledgeable and kind and fully understood my condition of glaucoma.
Purchased a nice modern frame and with their advice spent extra on specialty lenses which will help my condition!

A Pleasant Surprise: Cantonese-Speaking Optometrist in London

I arrived in London as a tourist—only to realize I had forgotten to bring my disposable contact lenses. I randomly chose David Clulow, and was surprised by how positive the experience turned out to be. After explaining my situation and mentioning that I didn't have a prescription with me, they were able to arrange a same-day eye test.

As someone from Hong Kong, I never expected to meet a Cantonese-speaking optometrist, but I was fortunate to be helped by Sam, who was extremely resourceful and professional. The eye test was more thorough than any I’ve had in Hong Kong, and the cost was very reasonable. I am very grateful to David Clulow for solving my problem and I highly recommend them—especially to anyone from the Chinese community or Chinese families in need of eye care in London.

Fantastic experience (Loughton store)

Amar, the optician, has dealt with my complex prescription superbly. I have perfect vision, through both glasses and contact lenses. Just brilliant. I also received exceptional customer service from Androulla, Ramona and Waheeda. They took time and care to fit my glasses perfectly. Highly recommended.

Kundenservice?

Leider selten einen derart mangelhaften Service erlebt (betrifft Berlin im KaDeWe)

Sofortige Zahlung bei Kauf einer Gleitsichtbrille (unüblich beim Optiker - ich trage schon lange Brillen). Einen stolzen Preis für eine Meta - Brille gezahlt. Die Brille sollte nach ca. 2 Wochen fertig sein ... Es dauerte ca. 4 Wochen. Leider wurde ich nicht informiert. Telefonisch war bei Clulow in Berlin erst nach ca. 20 Anrufen jemand erreichbar um Auskunft zu geben.
Wenn der (einzige) Optiker krank oder im Urlaub war, gab es natürlich weitere Verzögerungen.
Ein echtes Trauerspiel.
Kundenservice sieht anders aus.

The optician was professional, easy to talk to and one feels you are in good hands. The main shop staff are super helpful, not pushy and you feel comfortable and at ease finding the glasses you need.

Eye test competent - high sales pressure selling things you don't need or use

Eye test itself was fine and the opticians seems good. The issue was the whole experience - very much high emphasis on the sell and despite being a contact lens wearer I was pushed into signing up for the scheme and buying 2 pairs of glasses that will sit in my bathroom mostly unused. It was a high pressure sales environment and I just wanted out. I won't be back.

David Clulow Opticians Hampstead branch is outstanding. The optometrists are brilliant and so knowledgeable in their field. Alex and her team on the floor, are so incredibly helpful and welcoming. Eye Examination

What a nice guy Tam is, friendly, courteous, the perfect gentleman. He made the eye examination a breeze! The girls were lovely too, very honest and helpful in their opinions. Would definitely recommend this branch of David Clulow.

We felt that the eye test was very thorough and all critical matters were covered. Androulla Chillides was excellent in the customer service function and helped us choose suitable new frames and lenses and with the after care service. A true asset to the firm.

Awful in shop experience but great Customer Care!

Following on from the below experience , had a really positive experience with Andrea from the customer care
Team ( I think!) who was extremely helpful and agreed to keep me in the loop as to the progress of the order. This restored my faith in David Clulow!

Awful in shop experience at Cornhill. 7 days after order ( time I was told they would arrive) not even dispatched. Real annoyance was the response from the woman - well they’re not here then. Wouldn’t mind if they were rushed off their feet. I was the only customer. Not even an offer to chase.

I’m really sorry to hear about your experience at our Cornhill store. This isn’t the level of care or communication we expect our customers to receive, and I completely understand your frustration — especially with the delay and how the situation was handled in store.

Just to clarify, most of our orders take up to 10 working days to arrive, as we don’t usually use frames from the shop display and lenses are made to measure, Your order is produced as a complete job in our labs and sent directly to us — but this should have been explained clearly when you placed the order.

I’ll be looking into this personally so we can address it properly and make sure you receive an update tomorrow.
Once again I can only apologise for the inconvenience.
