The service was terrible. They almost cost me the sale of my flat. They just do not respond to emails unless repeatedly chased and when they do, they have usually not progressed anything. Avoid at all costs. I ceased using them in the end and promptly sold my flat through another conveyancer. Davisons are still asking to be paid (!)

Before my husband and I started looking for a flat, we spent a lot of time researching online. Based on positive Google reviews, we decided to go with this company. That turned out to be a huge mistake.
We later realised we should have checked Trustpilot as well, as the reviews there are far more accurate. Unfortunately, we only discovered this after paying the initial £500.
This company made us feel completely ignored and disrespected as customers. In the welcome letter, Shabnam, the Streatham branch leader, guaranteed that clients could contact them at any time during opening hours. In reality, it felt like the company did not exist at all.
Emails were ignored unless we sent 10 follow-ups about the same issue. Phone calls went unanswered. This experience caused us to lose trust and faith in the company.
After three weeks of chasing with no progress, we gave up and terminated the contract while still at the initial stage (nothing was done). Ironically, once I sent the termination notice, they suddenly became very responsive—calling repeatedly and replying quickly to emails, trying to convince me to stay. This only made things worse, as it proved they had been able to respond all along and simply chose not to.
I will definitely stay far away from the Streatham branch. They clearly lack basic customer care and professionalism. If you cannot handle the workload, stop taking on more clients.

We were strongly encouraged to use Davisons Law by Persimmon while purchasing our new build home on the First Homes Scheme.
The service they provided was ultimately fine, they got the job done and we had no major issues. There were a few bumps along the way such as confusion when withdrawing funds which caused a bit of a panic and we didn't feel like Davisons Law were especially helpful or did much more than the bare minimum.
This was our first time using a solicitor so perhaps that's all just to be expected, but we've heard from other recent home buyers that have had much better experiences with other solicitors that also charged less.

We used Davidsons Law for buying our first home and they made a stressful situation a lot easier. They were recommened to us from family and we couldn't have asked for a better solictors. We received exceptional service from Dan at the Edgebaston office who went above and beyond to get the purchase complete for us before Christmas. We are very grateful for all the help we received and we would definitely use Davidsons again in the future. Thank you

Taiba Ayaz assisted us with exceptional diligence, maintaining constant communication and guiding us through each step of the process. She was extremely professional, efficient, and kind throughout; we will definitely hire her again whenever needed!

I was helping an elderly, partially sighted friend with the sale of his house, who was highly stressed. We are very grateful to Nathan for his exceptional service and professionalism in helping my friend expedite the sale. Nathan's patience and compassion should be recognised in his support of his client. I will definitely contact Nathan for all my conveyancing work in the future. Once again, thank you very much.

The solicitors were very helpful during our flat purchase. Professional, informative, and Sohaib & Nataleigh were able to move the process along quicker towards the end which enabled us to complete right before Christmas!

I used Davisons, in particular Nadia to sell a property. The quote was a fair price and customer service was excellent. Nadia was professional, helpful and prompt in all correspondence. I would highly recommend Davisons based on my experience.

The team were so helpful, efficient and responsive. I was able to sell a leasehold property and purchase my new build in less than 5 weeks!

From day 1 of contact with Davisons, they were quick, responsive, knowledgeable and available which is exactly what you dream of when purchasing and selling a home with such a quick turnaround (6 weeks!). We were really well looked after by Mohammed Riko who was supportive and happy to answer my questions - some very silly ones! Really would recommend using Davisons to anyone looking to purchase / sell their home!

Completion was done on Dec 1, 2025, got an email on Dec 15, 2025 at 18:22 saying that I fail to sign back the stamp duty and email back to them, and it's late and there will be a penalty at £100. So I went through the email, which I have missed was sent by Davison on Dec 2, 2025 Quote "Further to completion, we now need to deal with the post completion requirements. Please can you sign the attached stamp duty land tax return and email back to us."
And since I have overlook at this email, I didn't know about the requirement and they have never contacted me via phone or message until Dec 15, 2025 sending me an email saying I was late and there will be penalty, there was no indication of the deadline of signing the documents that they sent on Dec 2, 2025.
I am very disappointed at their service.

It has been my greatest pleasure working with Davison's Law on the purchase of my property. Their service and commitment to customer care was of the highest standard from start to finish and it has been nothing but exceptional. Their service, support and customer care is excellent and I couldn't wish for more.

Joseph Fellows-Cox and Adam Benton were fantastic ambassadors for Davisons Law during my purchasing experience. Joseph made sure that communication was clear and helpful whilst dealing swiftly with an issues that arose. I couldn't speak highly enough of my experience.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Davisons Law has been genuinely shocking from start to finish, and has caused months of avoidable stress.
Even before completion, I found myself repeatedly having to chase for updates, documents and basic communication just to keep the transaction moving. Tasks that should have been handled proactively were left to stagnate unless I prompted them. I should have taken this as a warning sign.
After completion, things became dramatically worse.
I completed on a leasehold flat in April 2025. Seven months later, I discovered that none of the required post-completion work had been carried out by Davisons Law:
• No Notice of Transfer served on the freeholder
• No Notice of Charge served
• No Deed of Covenant submitted
• No Certificate of Compliance requested
• No documents sent to the managing agent
• No membership application sent to the Residents’ Management Company
Because of these failures, the freeholder did not recognise me as the leaseholder, the managing agent could not update their records, and I could not be admitted as a member of the Management Company. I spent months contacting the freeholder, managing agent and company secretary myself — all of whom confirmed they had never received a single document from my solicitor.
All required steps were explicitly listed in the LPE1 pack, Information Sheet and TA7. Yet none were actioned. When I raised concerns, I was given explanations that contradicted the documents I had been provided.
This should have been routine work. Instead, it caused unnecessary delays, confusion, and significant additional effort on my part simply to fix what should have been handled immediately as standard.
Based on my experience, I urge anyone purchasing a leasehold property to be extremely cautious and to double-check that all pre- and post-completion obligations are actually being carried out — do not assume they are.
If my situation is eventually resolved, I will update this review. But as things stand, I cannot recommend Davisons Law.

I used Davisons Law for the purchase of a house in March 2024. In August 2025 I decided to sell the property and instructed a different law firm to act for me. They discovered the house had not yet been registered by Land Registry and needed to be so in order for the sale to proceed. I contacted Davisons Law and asked them to expedite the registration. They did not contact Land Registry until 19 DAYS later! And then, on the verge of exchange of contracts for the sale it was discovered that a mistake had been made by Davisons Law in the original Register Of Title and that this had to be corrected by Land Registry before exchange could take place. Rather than risk another 19 day fiasco I asked my current conveyancer to contact Land Registry to correct the error, for which I was charged nearly £250. I contacted Davisons Law for their comments on the mistake and they did not even apologise for their mistake.

Rang to book an appointment as I needed some advice. Left basic gist of issue, was told message would be passed on and someone would contact me. No one did. Rang next day. Told message would be passed on again and someone would be in touch. No one could be bothered to call. Not impressed. Wouldn’t have minded if someone had called to say they were too busy. But no call is poor.

I used this firm back in Sept 2020 for a house purchase. At the time it was back and fourth and the experience wasn’t great but standard. I felt like they had done the basic service, which I was not bothered too much about as it was my first house purchase and interactions with a conveyancer. In the last 4 years I have come to realise the expectations and the service needs to meet certain service levels and also what they are. Come this year in August 2025 I was pursuing some changes with a lender for mortgage and it was flagged that our new build property had not had its NHBC certification activated or applied for. So if our property had structural issues we would not be covered. After speaking with the NHBC body they had informed me that Davisons Law should have done this. I reached out and logged a complaint because it now meant the lender was hesitate with the state of the property and that I would require further review of the mortgage. I also had to get this policy activated, when I had paid for this to be done by Davisons Law and charged me over £2k at the time. Its been a nightmare dealing with their complaints team S Mohammed, whi has just been patronising in the emails and questioning me, after acknowledging that they had made the mistake. i am logging this complaint with the ombudsman and sending across the email chain to the partners of the firm, to establish is this the behaviour they strive for with clients.

Buying our first home was a big step, and we are so grateful to Davisons Law for making the journey smooth and stress-free. A special thank you to Mohammed Riko, he gave us advice whenever we needed it and never got tired of explaining things, no matter how many questions we asked. His patience, professionalism, and reassurance made all the difference.
We felt informed, supported, and confident throughout the process. We highly recommend Davisons Law, especially for first-time buyers. Thank you for helping us secure our first home
