We did a 10 day tour with Deep Morocco Tours which Said helped to put together based on our family’s requests. We travelled as a family of five. Said was always very responsive to our questions when organising the tour. The tour ran seamlessly from start to finish. We had the most wonderful tour guide and driver called Mahdi, who added so much value to our experience. His knowledge and passion about Morocco shone through and we learned so much from him as well as sharing many laughs and a love of music on our long road trips.

We started our tour in Marrakech and had a fun filled day exploring with Said. We then travelled through the high Atlas Mountains to Khenifra, then Chefchaouen, stopping en route at the historic Volubilis Berber-Roman City. We enjoyed a spectacular day hiking in the Rif Mountains with a local guide. We travelled south spending a day exploring the medina of Fes, before heading to the Sahara Desert. We loved our time there getting to understand more about the local Berber (Imazighen) culture. One of our highlights was getting up early for a walk/run up the sand dunes for sunrise. We also had memorable experiences camel trekking, quad biking and enjoying the starry skies at the desert camp. Our return journey to Marrakech involved stunning walks and views in the Todra and Dades Gorges. We spent our final night of the tour in the peace and quiet of Ourika with a visit to the beautiful Anima Gardens. Our Riads were comfortable and traditional places to stay with a warm welcome (Moroccan mint tea) from the staff throughout our tour.

It was a sad farewell to our driver and guide Mahdi and the lovely Said. We have made memories together as a family in Morocco that will last a lifetime. Thank you to Deep Morocco Tours for making this such a special experience for us.

I had a really good experience as my tour was very personalized. They are very knowledgeable about all the places so it was really interesting and I was staying at very comfortable, clean riads with great staff. They took care of everything, I just had to take the flight and enjoy the trip!

We toured with Deep Morocco Tours for 1 week in March, and it was the best trip we could've asked for! My husband and I just completed a 3 night/4day Sahara tour with Deep Morocco Tours. I can’t speak highly enough of Said and Omar. He stressed that even though they have an itinerary we were free to adjust it to our liking. We really enjoyed everything we did, and the choice of hotels was excellent. I highly recommend Deep Morocco Tours. Said helped plan the most wonderful adventure thru Morocco from the perspective of a local. His guidance directed us to the right itinerary and hotels to make the experience very special. All of the local guides were local to the area - knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly. Our main guide - Ibrahim - drove us the whole time which made it so relaxing and fun. He is one of the safest drivers I have ever had.

It is hard to find the words to describe how magical our Morocco trip was. We had been dreaming of visiting Morocco for years, but it initially seemed intimidating to us as we usually do our own trip planning. However, we need not have worried as Said took care of EVERYTHING for us and it was perfection! Said was very patient with our discussions of timing and itinerary and was able to put together an amazing schedule of all the major cities as well as breathtaking landscapes/mountains and a highlight of riding camels into the Sahara.

Our driver Mahdi met us at the airport and was a wealth of knowledge of the country, history, and food. He answered all the questions we peppered him with and we enjoyed sharing our musical interests/libraries along the ride. He seemed to know someone in every town we went to and took us to local lunch places to make Berber pizza or purchase wine for our rooftop evenings. Although we had an itinerary, we had lots of opportunities to choose what we saw/did based on our interests and Mahdi was always accommodating.

Our riad accommodations were beautiful, authentic, comfortable and included wonderful courtyard breakfasts and rooftop views for taking in the sunsets and listening to the calls to prayer. We experienced a great range of adventures, from learning Moroccan history from our driver and local guides, walking the medinas/souks, playing the drums with Berber musicians, jumping sand dunes in a "Japanese camel" (Toyota 4/4), and trying lots of amazing new food.

We always felt totally safe and welcomed - everyone was incredibly kind and interested in ensuring that we had a great experience in their country/city. Booking a private tour (with 4 of us) ensured that we were able to do everything that we wanted. We have spoken so highly of our trip that several of our friends have already begun planning their trips to Morocco. We can definitely say that you will not regret booking a trip

Our car journeys with Ibrahim were comfortable and safe and he is very kind, friendly and helpful as well as Siad who answered any questions at any time. Always wanted to visit Morocco since I can remember. The 10 days Morocco tour with Deep Moroccan tours was just what I needed. Saïd and his team were great at every aspect. Friendly, helpful, professionals and most importantly knowledgeable.

Deep Morocco Tours

What a time we had, our group of five women! Ibrahim was a handsome driver/guide who was not only knowledgeable but also accommodating to our every wish. (A little more time here…a bathroom break…the name of the mosque…etc.) An appreciation of the cleanliness and friendliness everywhere kept us fascinated. But, of course, the thrill was in the gorgeous scenery and charming cities, each with its own splendid mosque.

We started with a very touristy dinner at Rick’s Café in honor of the movie “Casablanca.” After that, we sank into the culture as much as our American mindsets would allow. The alleys in Fez, the beautiful tile everywhere, lovely pottery, ornate silver, sublimely soft leather, the delicious food—so much to see and feel and taste.

The very most exotic experience was a night in the desert. The camel ride was accessible to all of us. We felt so adventurous. There is no way to adequately describe the expansive dunes, the passing travelers, even the motorized vehicles seemingly dashing off into an abyss. The colors, the performance of the sunset and sunrise, the entertainment and excellent food in the camp—it was all spectacular.

Marrakech was the perfect place to wind down, in the sense of capturing all we could in the last days. Listening to the call to prayer with a guide who sang along and explained was exceptional. We hated to leave the ubiquitous mint tea behind. But glorious memories and even the poor substitute of photos remain with each of us.
