Today I travelled 2 hours to pay a visit to DFS store located in Carlisle, seeking to potentially purchase a new couch and a full bed.

I suffer from back problems therefore I felt sorry for whatever member of staff I had to ask for assistance with, because the reason for my visit in person and not buying online is because I needed to find the perfect mattress.

I didn’t have to look for any member of staff because I was greeted shortly after entering the store from a professional gentleman called Jakub ( I hope I got the spelling correctly)

I explained the above to Jakub and he confirmed he was MORE than happy to spend “as long as it takes” to find the perfect mattress. I was in the store for nearly 2 hours with Jakub, he was explaining all the different types of mattress to me and wanted me to lay on every single one because “HE” wants to get this right.

A very long time later I found the mattress I wanted, but I didn’t like the bed frame, Jakub took me around ALL bed frames to see what suited my taste.

He also went above and beyond by manually moving the mattress that I picked and placed it onto another bedframe because “HE” wanted to make sure the difference of slats on a ottoman, or the box on a divan was going to make a difference for me (which it did) poor boy ended up doing a full body gym workout within the workplace because of me.

Jakub done all of the same actions above with me again, but this time with the selection of couches (thankfully for him choosing the couch was a lot quicker lol)

Once the total quote was put together, I knew I had a cheaper deal elsewhere saving me around £200-£300 HOWEVER I opted to ignore that because of the attention to detail, professionalism, customer service and care given by Jakub.

The assistant couldn't have been more helpful and took interest in what I wanted to purchase. The choice of sofas in store was excellent and it made my shopping experience pleasant. I found exactly what I was looking for and am looking forward to delivery of them. Would definitely recommend DFS.

I went in to sore with the specific task of purchasing a sofa and a chair. I was approached by a member of their sales team after a few minutes, which was great not to be pounced on straight away. I told them exactly what I was looking for as I had specific requirements. I was listened to and then shown lots of options before settling on my final choice. The team member was excellent no pressure was friendly yet professional explained everything . A good experience would definitely recommend and return.

Robyn was an absolute pleasure to deal with 100% would recommend as all staff are lovely.

Went in looking for a new sofa. The staff members let us have a browse without immediately pouncing on us, which I really appreciated. Then when we were ready they came to help, explained the ordering and manufacturing process and went through any extras we might need. Extremely helpful and very good customer service.

Very helpful and explaining every detail of the sofa we bought. Not to much pressure to seal the deal and they gave us time to make the decision.

We had a great meeting with Amelia who was very friendly and helpful. We found the sofa's we wanted and Amelia helped us by getting the price and explaining everything to us and then she asked the questions to get the required information and she then sorted the finance. All done in a very friendly and professional manner. Could not be happier.

Today we purchased some lounge furniture, we were greeted by a member of staff who asked about what we were looking for, they pointed us in the direction of the items we has seen on the web and left us to browse a while, they then returned to ask if we need any further assistance and offered us beverages. Again the person was helpful with our questions. Finally the next time the person came to us we had chosen what we wanted and answered our further question we had. The person was extremely informative about the product. We had asked about the warranty etc again the response was informative and options were explained to us.

The staff member was polite and friendly, they had knowledge of the product we were buying and gave answers and explanation's to all our questions.

Our experience today was exultant. We didn't feel pressured, rushed and our question were answered all given time.

We had a beyond helpful young lady to help with making a decision in which she looked at many options and went out of her way to find what we wanted . Made simple in a short time with detailed guidance , relatable and knowledgeable in her work and went over and above with no pressure in any way .

Great selection of sofas, and Great quality. We dealt with amelia and she was very knowledgeable about all aspects of buying a sofa. Brilliant service.
