Direct2Drive Avis 109

Direct2Drive was acquired by AtGames in 2014 and they are not only not honoring the games I purchased, but they are stonewalling my support requests. Several responses have been useless and unhelpful, but apparently they caught on I was not buying their BS so the last response was Direrct2Drive no longer exists. LOL! I still can sign on and it looks like you are still looking for suckers to pay you money. Avoid them in any way possible, you will not be able to play games you purchased and they will completely ignore you when seeking support. Too bad you cannot give them a big fat zero as they stink and are basically a scam.

Realizing that my Comanche 4 game is quite old, I still think this company's 'activation' process sucks. Probably, the activation server is no longer online - but GUESS WHAT - I STILL have the CD, the manual, and I want to REINSTALL it, but it appears NO provisions were made for getting one past the 'authorization' window. It doesn't work, and the 'manual activation' email request form gets NO response from anybody. So now, what does someone who PURCHASED their game do to be able to play the damned thing????

Bought games on D2D years ago and they are still there today for download. I'm talking almost two decades ago. Customer service was very helpful too way back when I lost a code for one of my games.

strongly advice not to buy from them given all the bad feedback about them lately

I purchased games way back when. Direct2Drive sold out to someone, they sold it back, site relaunched or some such....
All my games are there in my list. Cannot download a single one. Cannot use codes in Steam. No way to retrieve my games.
Submitted ticket to Direct2Drive with YouTube video to show issue.
They deleted the ticket.
Resubmitted the ticket, asking them to email me.
They deleted the ticket.
Submitted a new ticket, asking them to please stop deleting my tickets.
Uh, yes, you guessed it, they deleted my ticket.

6-8 purchased games. Took my money. Can no longer download the games.

I originally purchased a game through gamefly, without notification I was told the company sold out to direct2drive.

It would've been nice if the company taking over told me about this so I could log in with them and download my games.

I still have the PayPal receipt from my order in 2013, now that I've had some free time and wanted to play the game I cant as apparently been sold over to new company

I am more than happy to change my review should I be able to access my collection of games

I bought a game key at d2d.
The game key I purchased was a game key that could not be activated in my country of residence.
The d2d target game page initially stated that it could be activated in my country of residence.
I sent a ticket and applied to d2d for a game key that could be activated in my country, or if that wasn't possible, a refund of the purchase price.
However, I didn't even get a decent reply from support. The reply I received was the text of the template, which I didn't think was a reply to my request.
What's particularly problematic is that I'm removing my country name from the activateable countries listed on the d2d target game page, even though I don't even reply to my ticket.
Never buy at d2d.

Constant issues when trying to log in. It's been almost 2 months with the same issue, with them not responding to emails or support tickets for about 1 month of that time.

I have buy severals games, now I can no more login, and ...

I'm giving it a one star. Simply cause I never heard back from anyone in Customer Service to recover my account that has an old email that I no longer have. I was willing to give my info the best I could. Though never heard a word on what may be needed to recover my account. I really wish I could get help instead of being ignored Ive bought a few games before. :(

worst form of drm ever, can only install games a couple of times and then you have to send them an email to reinstall.

dont rly need to say much about it its the same like with the others, sold us fake/dummy key`s, support dosent rly answer, if u are lucky u get an copy paste of the same automatic reply they did send others too and now 1 week later they dont deliver real keys nope they refund without anymore info`s, and at the same time i got the info from paypal about the refund, they wrote us in an e-mail "Also, to thank you for your understanding, please find enclosed a 10% additional discount for your next purchase with D2D. The coupon expires on March 21, 2019 and can be combined with other promotional discounts. Again, thank you for being a customer and we look forward to seeing you again soon at Direct2Drive.com.

Don't try this "shop" - there is a big chance that in positive scenario you will just block you money for a week or more.
For me it looks like there is "bait" promotion: probably there is one ore two keys with great price, but others will just got some random characters as key and "shop" will gather some money. Hopefully mine was afterwards returned ... but that is not how real game shop work.
Just ... don't trust them

Bought a game through them. They sent a key only redeemable on "an unreleased system". A week later I got a refund. +1 star for not stealing my money, I guess.

Does not deliver product, support does not answer or provide refund.

Have had to escalate claim with paypal waiting for their answer.

Purchased a key at what seemed like a good price. The Steam key they provide is invalid. Opening a ticket with the site results in getting no reply. Reporting to them on social media results in them saying that they'll communicate with me in the future. That future has not yet arrived. Do not buy from Direct2Drive, if you really wish to give away money for nothing in return then give it to a charity instead.

I got an invalid key, wrote support but never received an answer. I have not received any refund yet. So far, everything is wrong
