Doug Brady HiFi Avis 

I recently dipped my toe back in to the world of vinyl and hi-fi separates. Although mine was an online order I received a really nice and helpful phone call after placing the order and had regular updates on the status of the order and a confirmation call as the items were about to be shipped. Great value for money, excellent customer service and I will definitely be buying from them again.😀

I have recently purchased a HiFi package with Doug Brady and I could not be more thrilled with my experience with them.
When I walked into the store, I was made to feel welcome and was introduced to some of the products. I produces a list of specific items I was interested in and John was really helpful in showing me these items. He set the system up so I could experience it, he made some suggestions which made the package even better. Nothing seemed too much trouble for him, he was very knowledgeable about the products and gave great advice. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything, or didn't feel that he was upselling at any point. I left with an amazing package and I'd like to thank John and the team for the fantastic experience.

Superb service. 30mins after placing my order on-line I received a call from Doug Brady confirming they had received the order and checking the turntable I’d ordered was compatible with my setup…..fantastic personal touch.

There was an issue with the item when it was delivered but one email and another call from Doug Brady later saw the issue was resolved very quickly.

Overall I cannot give them enough praise, they were brilliant. The turntable is very very good as well.

Bought a brand new Technics Sl1200gr2 for £1799. Opened and examined as you are allowed to under distance selling regulations. Returned with all original packaging and accessories as requested. Returned as i wanted to go for a belt drive turntable. Was charged a 20% fee for restocking which was £389. First time this has ever happened with a return. Extortionate profiteering in my opinion. Will not be buying from them again.

I have just purchased a pair of Meze 99 Neo headphones from Doug Brady HiFi online – what great service. The package arrived on time but I was mostly impressed by the follow-up phone call to thank me for my purchase. Doug Brady HiFi are now top of my list to buy audio gear.

This is a review for Mu-so 2nd generation connecting to Wi-Fi Spotify does not work wasted hours trying I have first generation products and never had a problem.
Don’t waste your money

Technics SL-1200GR2 turntable plus Ortofon 2MR Black cartridge arrived securely and most neatly packaged just a day later from placing online order. Most impressed to receive a phone call from Roger asking if I'd like to have the cartridge pre-fitted before order was despatched too.

My wife, teenage daughter and I have spent a great afternoon playing albums that haven’t been on a turntable since the late ‘90s.

Quality of sound from the turntable + Ortofon 2MR Black positively exquisite. Teenage daughter who has never heard vinyl playback before is seriously impressed! Wife impressed with Doug Brady's speed of delivery and quality of packaging, believe it or not!

I have been buying high end hi-fi gear for over 40 years from some great specialist shops from all around the UK and can say hand on heart Doug Brady stands amongst the very best.

Just purchased £3500 of mixed equipment and the whole experience was a sheer joy. Plenty of relaxed time given for demonstrations of an A&K Afutura DAP (what a brilliant player this is!) twinned with various headphones. Great guidance and suggestions from Miguel. All the staff are knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly. Very competitive pricing. It’s like going into your local pub where everyone knows you and joins in the banter! Doug Brady is well known in the hifi and home cinema manufacturing industry as an iconic retailer of great reputation for over 50 years. No wonder.

Just go in and enjoy the experience yourself. Demos can be pre-booked but not always necessary. Despite all the reviews of gear you may read about or watch it’s only your own hearing and viewing pleasure that really counts! Highly recommended. Unsolicited review.

Superb service, great suppliers & hold good stock of products. I should have written this a long time ago.

I deal with Roger & I can honestly say it is refreshing to be able to speak with an ‘expert’ with many years of Audiophile level experience who will advise on the best product for your situation AND NOT like so many others simply push only the stocked items or items with the highest mark-up.

Actual first hand expert knowledge, occasional savings from ‘Ex-Demo’ & ‘Amazon’ style service from purchase to delivery, usually ‘Next Day’ delivery.

Fantastic service, it’s also great to experience ’Knowledge Handover’ as the differences in products are explained in such an understandable format.

Always my first port of call, & hopefully my ‘Only’ port of call.

I made a purchase on Black Friday, because this was the only store offering a discount on that turntable. I was a little hesitant, as I usually only buy electronics from high street brands. After this service, I will now only buy from independent stores such as Doug Brady Hi-Fi.

They ring you (or in my instance leave a voicemail), offering help and confirming the order. The transaction was smooth and delivery occurred the morning of the next day (free at my price point)

Incredible service

After hours of looking at different turntables I opted for the Rega Planar 1 Eco. I wanted the gloss red which was advertised on the Doug Brady website.

I placed my order online and within minutes had a call from the store just checking that I had ordered the right model as the one I had ordered had no built in preamp. I knew this but it did make me feel as though the company valued my business and that I would not be disappointed with my purchase.

I placed my order just before 3.30PM and it was delivered by DPD the next afternoon. Amazing service.

The turntable, my first venture into vinyl for 30 years, is excellent. Rega are selling these Eco models with slight imperfections on the plinth and dust cover but with full warranty and a generous discount. To be honest I struggled to find any mark on the plinth and only a minor blemish on the dust cover. The sound is glorious and I'm now busy rebuilding my vinyl collection.

Bought a turntable which was delivered next day despite the terrible weather and traffic. The driver made sure I was happy with setting it up before he left. Go the extra mile and made me feel valued as a customer. Will definitely be a customer again.

Not one for normally writing reviews but felt had to do in this instance. Ordered Rega1 and Q M20 speakers. Ordered wrong colour speakers to my wife's dismay and BD exchanged with in a day.

Called them to sort issue out and received what I can only describe as good old fashioned customer service. A big shout out to Jon. One happy and satisfied customer.

I’d probably normally deal with the usual high street HiFi dealers but having visited Doug Brady initially and then the high street dealers it was an easy decision I went back to DB to purchase my Amp, you really can’t beat an exceptional independent dealer who go above and beyond.

Exemplary would be an understatement. On moving house, our 11-year-old Naim 5si amplifier had apparently developed a hum. I ordered a Quad Vena 2 Play from Doug Brady, only to find it produced a low-level ‘motorboating’ sound from the speakers. DB could find nothing wrong with it, so it had to be something at our end causing interference. I had several phone conversations with John and Steve of DB, who were unfailingly patient and helpful. But in the meantime I found a way of connecting up the Naim that cured the hum. I rang full of apologies, but Steve said they were just glad I had got a system I was happy with again, and that they would give me a refund there and then. I’ve even slept better since the whole thing was sorted out, so I have that to thank them for as well!

Just bought a pair of Focal headphones. The shop was shutting but stayed open. Sat down and listened to the focal headphones and 30mins later I bought them. Fabulous service, nothing was too much and you get served coffee & biscuits.

roger and all the staff at doug brady hi-fi went above and beyond to help me choose my items and I chopped and changed my order several times and they did not mind and said they wanted me to be happy with my order.roger even personally delivered my order on saturday and set everything up for me.this shop and staff give customer service perfectly and I cannot thank them enough.I will use them for all my hi-fi needs from now on if you want good old fashioned service with professional knowledge and patience and really great prices use doug bradys hi-fi they are all you need thanks roger and all at doug bradys

Firstly in my experience the customer service was 1st class ordered an item that was by far cheaper than anyone else it was going to be delivered a few days later got a courtesy call from a gentleman from Doug Brady Hifi saying it was in stock but may be a bit delayed due to the strikes and knock on effect with the other couriers which I thought was a great touch and to be fair it was expected but to my amazement they delivered it a day early and the product was superb, Kudos to Doug Brady hifi and I would definitely recommend them judged on my experience with them thank you and Merry Christmas.
