6.7.2926 was my driving test, and my examiner was Ian. He is a very kind-hearted, helpful, polite, and respectful person. Sitting with him during the test, I didn't feel nervous or hesitant at all, and I never lost my confidence. His calm and friendly attitude made me feel comfortable throughout the test. Passed my test yesterday in Peachman…

Passed my test yesterday in Peachman way test centre, my examiner Mike was absolutely freindly and put me in ease to take the test which was opposite to my examiner 2 weeks ago. I felt more relaxed and less nervous. There were anxiety of course! However, less tension and freindly helpful environment which helps for learners to focus on the road rather than on what examiner thinks about them. A big thanks, Mike!

Throuhg using this review platform i managed to find the actual link for booking test. Phone line is useless hence 😗✴️✴️✴️

Impossible and ridiculous process

You will have to log on at 6am on the dot, wait in a queue of 50,000+ people to even be shown test options, there will not be any available tests, and you will have to do this everyday multiple times until you’re lucky enough to find one, they have ruined this whole process

Awful driving test booking system!!! Spent a fortune on driving lessons and can't even book a test within the next 6 months, no way to practice driving without an instructor so I have to keep wasting money on lessons from an instructor who says I'm test ready because theres no tests available in my area. I have been on the cancellation apps as advised by others who used them only to find out that they've changed the rules so they wont show you any cancellation slots unless you already have a test booked. Absolute joke

Helo people i had my truck test at RSM Essex and my examiner was sue very friendly also put u at ease as it was my test which I think we needed explain everything to me perfectly few my test i felt at ease and I passed i would recommend sue 5 stars 😎😎

I was ringing to swap my driving test with another learner driver who was waiting by the phone to answer the call. the person who I spoke to, after being on hold for an hour was extremely rude and allegedly rang the girl who did NOT receive any phone call, he then proceeded to argue with me and refused to give me his name then hung up.

Had my test with Geff with a ‘G’ today…

Had my test with Geff with a ‘G’ today , can’t thank him enough for being welcoming , calming and reassuring, erasing the common stigma of examiners . He made me feel comfortable and focused whilst on my test and was more than willing to have a conversation to let the time pass and the nerves calm , thank you Geff.

DVSA is a SCAM

DVSA is a SCAM and the driving instructors are scammers.
I changed 11 instructors in Pinner, London; one was worse than the other. Except one, all were ADI registered. They were unprofessional, did not care about the learners but only making money for themselves by charging exorbitant fees, they used their phone during the lessons trying to grab new customers instead of supervising, gave poor feedback or made rude comments and shouted, used learners' paid time to fill petrol in their cars, some played their favorite music to entertain themselves, some never arrived on time or finished the lesson early; some were teaching what they knew rather than what the learner needed to know. What was even worse was that they didn't know the highway codes themselves.
The poor pass rate is not the fault of the learners but due to the poor quality of teaching by the ADI instructors. I complained about 4 instructors, but nothing happened. I was told my complaint will remain in their file for 2 yrs, that's it. *Therefore, DVSA is a scam*. They charge over £600 for the ADI exams and to issue an ADI certificate. DVSA doesn't care about the quality of teaching or how well the instructors treat the learners. This practice must end.

DVSA continues to violate the Road Traffic Act 1988

I have received emails from DVSA that they are not concerned about vehicle that have no, DPF… I have researched this that without a DPF you are breaking Emissions Laws…
I have received correspondence from DVSA specifically saying that’s not their concern.

Yes that’s right Folks not their concern that a vehicle Test Station has passed vehicle that is without a. DPF

The DPF concerns Emissions! That’s ok

Keep on driving…

The Test station will continue to pass illegal unroadworthy vehicles l!!

I took my test in Newton Abbot on May…

I took my test in Newton Abbot on May 30th and I want to share my experience. The test was at 7am and I was the only one taking it at that time. The examiner arrived on time and invited us to the test center parking lot. I don't remember her name, unfortunately, but she arrived in a green Mercedes. I tried to take the test 3 times before and I want to say that she is the best examiner I have ever met. A pleasant person to talk to, polite and responsive woman. The test went great and I passed. Newton Abbot is a beautiful place to take the test, excellent roads, not much traffic (in my case). The test took about 40 minutes and with this instructor I felt confident, without any worries, I drove the route safely according to the SatNav, and then according to the instructor's instructions. I recommend this test location and this wonderful and professional lady instructor to everyone.

SHAME ON YOU DVSA

DVSA should be embarrassed about their lack of competence. Impossible to get a test and no guarantees of passing so another 6-8 month wait after that if you get one. We are in the busiest area and it's impossible. You are affecting teenagers lives, they can't go out and enjoy themselves with their friends independently, limited on looking for jobs due to transport, full time or weekend work and the cost and strain on parents. Don't even get me started. Loveday Ryder (yes, that's a name) was running this shambles but this has now been passed over to Beverley Warmington. I have written many letters to her at the head office but the only answers I get are the demand is high and the bots get the tests. I don't believe it's all the bots, it's been a shambles since Covid. Also the number of tests per year where people don't turn up is equivalent to a whole year of a driving examiner wasted as people can't be bothered to cancel or just don't care. This panic booking won't stop as everyone is desperate. Keeping up driving lessons, wear and tear on car, time and money is off the scale. The government are a disgrace. The 2 year theory retake should be scrapped for starters, you may only have 1 test in that period, it's a disgrace. The only solution is more examiners and more test centres that won't happen. This was supposed to be solved by August 26, now it's Dec 27. People need to get together somehow and get this sorted, count me in if anyone has any ideas as I can't see it changing any time soon. It's hard enough getting a job, never mind without easy transport!

Spoke with Melanie Jones today to help me book my driving test as it wasn’t letting me do it online. She was very helpful, contacted the DVLA for me to fix the issue and got me a test booked very soon. I was very stressed with the situation and she calmed me down & went out of her way to help me.

I came all the way from Wembley to…

I came all the way from Wembley to Farnborough for AM module 1. I've got there only to find out that I need to bring my own bike. I can't see nor find on the website that needs to bring your own bike except what needed to wear. It's so hard to find Training centres in London, no slots available.

No reply or refund after cancelling 10+ days in advance

I cancelled my daughter driving test on 17 May 2026 for a test booked on 27 May 2026. I did this more than 10 days before the test date, based on the info on the DVSA website.

I only found out after cancelling that weekends don’t count toward the 10-day notice period — this wasn’t clear on the cancellation page I used.

I emailed DVSA Customer Services requesting a refund as a goodwill gesture, since the cancellation was made in good faith and well ahead of the test. I’ve had no reply and no refund.

Very frustrating when you follow the process and get no response. Hoping posting here gets someone to look into case .

DVSA - More reliability talking to a brick wall.

Firstly sent e mail to DVSA, no response, not even automated response, sent another, same thing. Telephoned them. only 2 options, none of which applied. Chose option 1 in.the hope that the person would be able to transfer the call. The transfer happen, but where was the person I was speaking to ? Sounded like Thailand and they had no clue what the WORKING TIME DIRECTIVE was.

I then thought to myself, e mail the CEO, as yet no response. This is obviously where the problem is, at Senior Level. Probably paid a lot of money = no accountability, sense of entitlement, couldn't care less attitude. I can't say for certain, but this is my feeling.
