I bought a decking kit, as a competent flat pack furniture maker not shy of a bit of diy I thought it would be easy, as all I needed to do was drill and screw the wood together, to start with the delivery took over a week, so don’t order if your need quickly as even though they advertise super fast delivery it is not. The order finally arrived and the next day I attempted to put it together, to start with the joists were slightly different lengths, warped and bent making it really difficult, after starting to lay the decking panels out on top I realised the whole thing was the wrong size, I had 2 decking planks left over and when I measured the joists they were 1.8m when I had ordered the 2.1m. I contacted the company to be told I should have measured them on delivery and that now I had put it together all I was entitled to was a part refund! I explained I was entitled to what I had paid for and they finally, after some back and forth - the support chat is rather frustrating taking ages to get a reply, they finally agreed to send out the correct length joists. These then again took a little while to arrive but were in slightly better condition than the shorter ones previously delivered. I had discussed how frustrated I was with the whole situation with a colleague at work who kindly offered to help me undo the joist I had already put together and help me finally finish it! he runs his own handyman business on the side and he also had trouble saying the wood was poor quality, a lot of the decking panel where warped and he had difficulty getting a proper straight finish on them all, I owed him a beer after that as I’m not sure I would have been able to get a good finish at all!

All good stuff, I’ve now got a water tight garage at an excellent price, fast delivery as well

quick service and delivery, wood was of reasonable quality, but some beams were warped, one quite badly. Also no screws to fix decking were supplied, only coach bolts and fittings for the roof.

Excellent product range at decent prices. The staff at both Goole and Gilberdyke are very helpful.

It's worth knowing that Gilberdyke is the best site for decking advice. Goole is best for wider range of timber and general building materials.

Good choice and easy to order but at least 50% of the wood ordered (loglap) was warped so made it difficult to fit. Also had to discard several pieces so ensure you over order by 30% rather than 20%.
