Rude overbearing insurance staff.

Elders insurance Kingaroy had been good to deal with for the past few years that is until I had an issue with my car repairer after waiting 6 months for damage repair, little vanessa at elders refused to let me change repairers and made a scene out of that in the middle of the office, one of the men stepped out to see what was going on but nothing was resolved. I guess Elders isn't interested in my money anymore for my car and home insurance well done catty little vanessa!!

Elder Joondalup a joke…

I asked if there was an increase for this next year… the head of business insurance oh yeah, probably.

How much I asked, 10% the answer. So I went looking and found a rate 30% cheaper.
They’re a bunch of overpriced clowns.

Elders' insurance customer service is…

Elders' insurance customer service is very very rude. So, won't recommend to anyone to take their insurance.
They don't even listen to you. So, not recommended to anyone. I dont want to even give them 1 star.

Travel claim experience under home and contents

I recently travelled overseas and my baggage was damaged, which included a bike. My bike was listed under my home and contents insurance and is covered for 3 months overseas. I submitted a claim, which was straight forward. Customer service talked me through the process and my claim was submitted and actioned promptly.
I initially tried to make the claim under my travel policy. My claim was rejected due to their many exclusion clauses. In comparison, Elders were 5 star.

As a third party (not at fault) involved in a motor accident

As a third party involved in an accident in November, I have spent the last 3 months trying to get my car repairs done. After being told to get a quote, and doing so the same day, the repairs have remained pending and as such the repairer is still waiting on the approval to go ahead.
When I call the insurance number for claims I never EVER get to speak to a person. I push the required numbers to get to the correct department and then sit on hold for well over an hour and nobody answers there is no option like other businesses to leave a number for return call. When I call the local branch they tell me they can't help but will pass on a message to the claims department to call me and they never do. Funnily enough now the party at fault won't answer my calls either.

Have had nothing but a bad experience…

Have had nothing but a bad experience with this insurance company. Very hard to get in contact with, email and phone. Still dealing with them for something that happened 8 months ago, and have had to send multiple emails and call multiple amounts of times to try get a reimbursement for a hire car that they said they would reimburse me for. Would rate them 0 stars if I could.

ELDERS NIGHTMARE

We had a commercial property insured with Elders Ipswich, very easy to set up at the start and provide coverage and take your money for the insurance.
We clarified details of the policy and paid extra premium for the theft section to make sure we were covered for most items that could be stolen.
We had to make a claim (14 months ago!!!) for a large run of copper pipe that was ripped off the building, elders eventually got around to sending someone to site to check the damage and provide them with a quote.
After this we didn't hear back and had to continually follow up with someone in Adelaide who every month would send back the generic reply that they were reviewing the claim, which has been pretty much the response to every email and phone call.
We contacted the complaints (process advised by ombudsman website) that went through QBE insurance who elders are an agent for.
QBE got onto elders who sent back that the claim was limited to $2k under the theft "within building" section of the PDS which is completely irrelevant to the claim that we were making.
Their PDS clearly states that plumbing comes under the building section plus our theft cover on our COC is much much more than what they are trying to pay which we paid additional premium for.
Again we sent this all through to QBE who stated that the level of service that we have received is below the standard QBE hope to provide.
QBE have apparently referred this to another manager to review and the waste of my time begins again chasing them up every couple of weeks.
We are now having to waste several hours probably days of time going back through all of the information to submit to the ombudsman to try to get some action.
Unfortunately I never checked their reviews before purchasing insurance, my advise would be DO NOT USE ELDERS!!!

I has been trying to contact Elders…

I has been trying to contact Elders Insurance for 3 days customer service are choking after waiting for 1 hours they gave me other number and then waiting again for 2 hours just to said you are in the wrong department I will conect you later said will call you later and still waiting all this happened from Monday 16/5/22 to 18/5/22 and still waiting for the call back.
I would like to information about my third part claim please call me my claim number is EJ0098619

Absolutely disgraceful treatment of its…

Absolutely disgraceful treatment of its loyal customers. Their agents are your best mates when taking your premiums but are very hard find when you need to claim. All our claims have been denied even after it was confirmed in their report that damage was due to forced entry, break and enter and malicious damage. Do Not Waste Your Money !! These guys will use every underhanded and sneaky trick to find an ‘out’ to deny claims. The elders surfcoast agent Chris Cogger even got busted lying in a review conducted by QBE (who elders are just an agent for,) he is also well known for his aggressive and arrogant behaviour towards customers who question claim outcomes. This has been observed by independent witnesses who have overheard conversations where this agent raised his voice and verbally abused a loyal long term customer. Any complaints about elders and their conduct goes straight to QBE. Could not recommend them in good faith to anyone

Horrible

Horrible! they pulled my insurance in the middle of a job for a major corporate client and placed my company at risk - any incident and I would of potentially shut down and fined $150,000
Put my Company at Risk, I could have nearly lost the lot

Unfortunately I was forced to choose one star before I could comment.
After 20 odd years and tens of thousands paid to Elders, thanks for nothing! Miraculously a clause arose and my husband couldn’t claim on essential valuable tools he lost due to a faulty toolbox on ute. As if it isn’t hard enough to make a living during this mess we call 2020.

Use Elders if you want to throw your money away.

Had 2 properties insured with Elders, landlord insurance with extra options, like rental cover.
What a waste of time and money, didn't cover anything when needed, was told by our RE agent that it was the worst they had ever seen, apparently holes pounched in the walls by the tenant ISN'T malicious damage.
10k out of pocket, not including 2 years lost rental income, as we had to fix it ourselves, but they did pay 4 weeks loss of rent, glad I got that cover.

Would give Negative stars if it were possible !!
They wouldn't even help until we took our case to television - then they grudgingly (and painfully slowly) did something - accident was in November - Now into October 4 YEARS LATER...!! Had to complain directly to the CEO of Elders before getting action !!

Absolutely Hopeless...

After a truck ran into our property leaking diesel oil all over the garden and under the house we were told the Insurance company would look after it....
3 Months later we are still waiting to have the problems rectified - the first crew they sent to fix the problem actually created more problems - started digging away dirt (and stumps!) under the house - then didn't replace/prop the house in position - internal damage and 3 days before they sent someone else to fix it - then NOTHING for 2 months! Finally got them to take out the damaged tree caused by truck - but they left the stump - another 1/2 arsed job! It's not that hard - just bloody fix things right the FIRST TIME !
2 weeks later and they are now saying at least another month.....
HOPELESS !! C'mon Elders, get your at together......
