Really poor website
Really poor website. Wasted a lot of time trying to buy a fridge freezer. The checkout process wasn't working for card payments and it kept going in circles after adding the item to the basket - an issue acknowledged by the customer service team. After I placed the order through PayPal I got an email saying the item was out of stock. I was told a refund has been processed but ended up wasting a lot of time due to a very poor website.

Hi Megan, I'm sorry you had a poor experience. We are aware of an issue with our check out process, which only affects a few people, and we are working to rectify this problem. As regard stock, unfortunately the Covid situation has left massive gaps in the supply chain, resulting in stock shortages nationwide.

Ordered a Smart tv from…
Ordered a Smart tv from Electricaldiscountuk, it showed as in stock, they took payment, then I receive an email saying the item is out of stock, and with no indication of imminent supply. When searching for the tv, every other retailer showed it as out of stock on the search page, or as soon as you clicked on it on their website, or at the very latest when you tried to order it. Not these timewasting jokers. Trust at your peril.

Hi James, I'm sorry we werent able to supply you with the TV. Covid has played havoc with delivery and timelines. We have had this TV on order with Sony since September! We dont say we have the item in stock on our website, but neither do we say its out of stock, as many customers are prepared to wait for stock to be delivered, particularly when its a model in very short supply like this one. We have been trading online since 1999, the longest of any independent electrical retailer in the UK, thousands of customers trust us, and return time after time.
When we orderd the Husky fridge
When we ordered the Husky mini fridge, unfortunately due to covid 19 it was out of stock. Graham kept us informed about our order, and was delivered a couple of weeks later. Very pleased with the mini fridge. Great company to deal with.

Order small chest freezer
Order small chest freezer. Fair price delivered on time. Driver called on appointed day to confirm delivery time. Would unhesitatingly recommend to others.

Poor communication and misleading delivery timescale.
Bought a Samsung fridge freezer which showed a 7-10 day delivery timescale. After a week I emailed to get a rough estimate of when it might arrive to then be told they couldn’t get the stock so I had to get a refund and shop elsewhere. Poor communication and misleading delivery timescales. Won’t use again or recommend them.

Hi Kevin, I apologise if you werent contacted in a timely fashion. The impact of Covid on stock and stock availability has proved to be a real challenge for us and many other retailers, and all our timelines are proving to be a moveable feast I'm afraid. But i do once again apologise for the lack of communication, this is normally one of our strong points.

Great price and great service. Especially good delivery. Had to change delivery the day before it was due, office gave delivery drivers mobile, spoke to driver and he dropped it off that night instead. Excellent service.

Panasonic OLED TV…
Recently purchased a Panasonic OLED TV from my local store in Blackburn. The manager Scott was very very helpful and we had a good discussion about which model would suit my needs. I even managed to a get a price refund as the price had dropped between ordering and delivery, with a cheque arriving within 24 hours. This company has excellent customer service and staff. Keep up the good work.

I bought a Hoover washing machine from electrical discount through Amazon which turned out to be faulty, Simon gave me great advice how to get the machine returned as I had several problems dealing with Hoover service department soon as it was resolved and the machine was returned my refund was processed the same day

Ordered new cooker and had to wait for it to come back in stock, kept me up to date via facebook chat (they were very responsive) on eta and delivered on day promised, delivery driver even helped me carry it up my stairs

Wonderful service
Wonderful service. We purchased an American Style Fridge from these guys. Delivered on time during lockdown so very impressed. That was several months ago. We awoke this morning to find that there was a problem with our appliance - I contacted Electrical Discount UK and they gave me fantastic advice on what to do. I now have an engineer booked to come and solve the problem - within an hour of discovering the issue. I highly recommend these guys. Good service at a competitive price.
