A Truly Memorable All-Inclusive Experience
Elounda Residence Waterpark was my first all-inclusive holiday—and it made me a convert.
Before travelling, I contacted the resort about my mobility issues and my son’s dietary restrictions. Pavlos, the manager, assured us both would be accommodated—and he delivered. A golf cart was available whenever needed, and staff were briefed to support my son’s limited food preferences.
We arrived after midnight and were warmly welcomed by Theo at reception. Our apartment was at the top of the hill, and we were chauffeured in a buggy throughout our stay. The reception team was friendly and multilingual—Kristina speaks six languages!
Pavlos was incredibly helpful throughout. He personally resolved issues like water and internet problems, even offering complimentary spa treatments. When he wasn’t available, Nikos stepped in with equal efficiency—and flawless German.
The food at the Ariadne restaurant was excellent. Dimitris and the kitchen team offered a variety of fresh, tasty dishes. For our son, they prepared plain pasta twice daily for two weeks! Giorgio, Natalja, and the staff were always accommodating. Our daughter enjoyed kid-friendly options like nuggets and spaghetti.
The resort is perched on a hillside with stunning views and saltwater pools. It’s very family-friendly—our kids loved the water, made friends, and joined daily activities like the kids club, archery, and mini-disco.
We explored Elounda town, Spinalonga Island, Agios Nikolaos, and I even ventured solo to Knossos Palace and the Libyan Sea. Nikos gave great tips for local excursions.
Yes, some rooms could use refurbishing, and some activities catered to French guests—but we simply asked to join in, and our children were always welcomed. Staff spoke multiple languages and were always respectful and responsive.
Having travelled the world for work, I’ve learned it’s not the stars but the people who make a hotel great. Elounda Residence Waterpark excels in that. As I told Pavlos when we left: You turned me from an all-inclusive sceptic into a believer. Thank you!
