Our family got in touch with EMS because we needed to transport a sick family member back to Germany. EMS pretended to find a suitable hospital place and was not able to do that which is fine because in Germany this is a difficult task - especially in the field of psychiatry. So the project was called of and the service was not delivered. That was not a problem for us. But then the trouble began. We paid €7.500,- for the service and €3.000,- for flight tickets for the transportation (which didn't take place). Since 5 weeks we try to get in touch with EMS to resolve the situation. We wrote many Emails - but EMS just doesn't answer. They totally disappered and hide. They keep all the money - even the money for the flights that have not been used. We have the feeling that EMS is a scam and fraud and only there to rip off desperate people that need to solve a medical emergency situation. It is extremly disappointing and heart breaking to see something like that happen. Please be aware!! Because they are located in the UK it is very difficult to get a hold of them and unfortunately EMS is not willing to cooperate at all. It's an undignified shame that a company is able to behave this way.

Financial Fraud Warning
I would like to report a group of individuals engaged in organized fraudulent activities, exploiting victims' difficult circumstances to carry out schemes aimed at misappropriating funds transferred to them.
Their methodology involves sending carefully crafted contracts containing strategically designed clauses that purport to provide legal protection, while leaving victims in a precarious legal position.
These practices constitute a clear exploitation of trust, specifically targeting individuals experiencing financial distress.

The experience of dealing with EMS has left my family and myself traumatised. The initial regular calls to guarantee lump some of money came with promises that they clearly were unable to fulfil. What followed after payment is a level of deceive and luck empathy that is hard to comprehend. 24 hours prior to pick up involved chasing updates and receiving false information including that the plane was ready for departure but stuck due to rain. This message was kept and shared with us abruptly by a number of people for most of a day but the morning after we were given a entirely different excuse - it was clear that there was never an air ambulance ready for us. It is difficult to believe that anyone could be so heartless and there is a whole team of people happy to go alone with the deceit at very difficult time of people’s lives. EMS put the life of a member of my family at risk by delaying their commitment by 3 days so we were forced to employ another company. Despite the fact that they have not offered us any services, EMS refuses to take any responsibility and return any payment made to them.

We had high expectations when engaging this company, as their initial communication was professional and reassuring. However, after making the required payments, we encountered significant challenges in getting the agreed-upon service delivered.

We were under the impression that an air evacuation would take place within 24 hours of receiving full payment. Based on this understanding, we transferred €93,800, followed by an additional €38,800, which was later requested. Despite these payments, the evacuation did not occur within the agreed timeframe. Upon further inquiry, we discovered inconsistencies between the information provided to us and what the hospital in Berlin, Germany confirmed. According to the contract, the client was expected to arrive in Berlin by January 7, 2025—24 hours after full payment. However, we were later informed that the evacuation was scheduled for January 9, 2025, raising concerns about adherence to the agreed-upon timeline. Due to the delay from EMS, we were forced to go with another company. Hence, the evacuation did not take place with EMS and subsequently the contract was not fulfilled.

Furthermore, there was confusion regarding logistical details, including the reported arrival of their team at the Freetown airport, which we could not verify. Additionally, the UK address listed as their headquarters was associated with a different company, which added to our concerns.

Despite repeated attempts to resolve these issues and request a refund, we have yet to receive a resolution after more than two months. This has placed an immense financial and emotional strain on us, particularly as we were dealing with a medical emergency. Sadly, our family member has since passed away, and we are left wondering whether timely intervention could have made a difference.

This experience has been deeply distressing, and we encourage anyone considering this service to conduct thorough research and seek clarifications on timelines and procedures before committing. Reliability and transparency are crucial in medical emergencies, and we hope that improvements are made to prevent similar situations in the future.

We do intend to pursue legal actions to get our refund, if this matter is not resolved.

We needed a medically supervised flight from Mongolia to the US after a car accident left me with serious injuries. This company DID get us home and the medic they sent was wonderful so I am giving them two stars overall. The medic gets 5 stars as far as I am concerned but this review is speaking to our overall experience. Our initial estimated date of departure was to be Sept 22, 2024. We do realize that that is estimated and can change but we were always talking evacuation in 2-3 days as I had a chest tube due to a collapsed lung and the longer that tube is in, the greater the risk of serious infection. We did not actually fly out until September 30th, 2024.

EMS was extremely timely about requesting their full fee up front, this in two transactions. The first was for the medical supervision portion of the fee and the second was for the actual flight. We wired payment as quickly as possible given that we were dealing with three time zones: the US, the UK, and Mongolia. They sent many reminders informing us that payment was due though we had sent them the wire confirmation. Once they had the entire fee up front we expected to be scheduled to fly ASAP.

Money in their hands and the communication slowed dramatically. We were asking for updates and found those to be lacking. A representative would say that they would contact us on a given date with an update but then the update would not come. We would eventually get an update a day or two later, but that was always that they were awaiting airline approval. Airline approval IS required but should take about 24 hours to obtain as I was medically stable. When our home state representatives office contacted them we got an actual update but still no flight date. Days passed and the representative reached out to them again. That got a response. EMS's agent called us angry about the representative, would not listen to our input that we just want to be kept in the communication loop and that if they promise an update on a given date, to follow through with it. She then hung up on us.

We finally were approved to fly and tickets were booked for September 30th but even then we had communication issues. We asked for the flight information as my husband at home wanted it. This is simple, just airline and flight locator code. They would not give us this information telling us to get it from the medic. We had no contact information for the medic so that was not much of an option. It would take seconds to copy and paste that small bit of information but they were not willing to release it.

Overall this was a very stressful and frustrating experience and I would never use their services again. Simple communication would have made the entire experience better even if the update was that nothing had changed since the last message. I would encourage them to address this issue for future clients.

We recently needed to repatriate my 87 year old mother from rural france to suffolk uk. EMS were able to transport my mother promptly and efficiently.
The service was exactly as planned. Thank you EMS

Please please please AVOID this company at all costs , they are scammers , praying on vulnerable people , they lie and no one in this company will tell the truth , I booked repatriation for my brother who had got brain damage and slowly waking from a Coma, was , I received 2 emails within 3 mins of each other saying they had booked my brother into 2 seperate Hospitals in the UK, ive spoken with both hospitals they have no knowledge of any of this absolutley disgusting, I'm now dealing with ombudsman and a solicitor to claim my money back after my poor brother passed away in Las Palmers . I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY OF SCAMMERS !!!

We have just repatriated my mother from south west France to south east England, while initially concerned about the haste EMS air ambulance showed in getting the bill paid before collecting my mum we found them to be efficient and kept us informed of the situation and progress of the repatriation process and delivered her safely and though tired in good spirits,
This is fundamentally a very stressful situation and not one most people would have had previous experience of but we found the process to have been well organised and all staff helpful and friendly

My family contacted EMS on Saturday after I became ill while on vacation in Ireland. The care I was getting was almost non existant. EMS told my family they would have me flown home 24 to 48 hours after they received my records from the hospital and full payment. Both the records and money were received by EMS on Monday. Then they quit taking phone calls and responding to texts from my family for the next two days. They finally contacted my sister and said they were having problems getting a permit to fly into Dublin. On Thursday when they still could not give a date for departure we contacted them and said we were canceling the contract and wanting my money back which they have refused to pay. We then hired REVA to fly me home. Unfortunately their jet in that part of the world was taking a patient from London to the US and they couldn't take me back to the states until Saturday. REVA was almost 30,000 cheaper and their service was amazing. Once I landed in the U.S. I had to have my leg amputated the same day to save my life. It is unfortunate we didn't contact REVA first as there is a good chance my leg would not have been amputated. EMS has refused to refund any of my money. I eventually hired an attorney and a hearing was held in Amsterdam on December 1, 2023. The judge made his ruling in January that EMS is to refund all my money plus interest. They have still not paid and I will be required to spend more money on attorney fees to try to get this collected. Fortunately I had enough money to pay another air ambulance to get me home or I would have died. Do not use EMS under any circumstances. I would like to have posted a review on their website but could not find how to do it. They have reviews, all of which are good unlike the reviews on this website.

We had to transport our dad home to Ireland from Spain after he had a stroke. We priced a few companies but chose EMS as they seemed professional, helpful and reliable. Nothing could be further from the truth. Everything turned into an argument with them, nothing was straightforward.
Sent a deposit which we were told would "get the ball rolling" on plans to repatriate and "the full amount need only to be paid before patient is collected" which we later learned was the first ( of many) lies told by this company.

Eventually got confirmation of the collection date and time by phone call, hence we made arrangements to fly a family out to Spain to see him on the ambulance. 4pm the day before collection they call to say that date is cancelled and it will be 3 days later.

Ive never dealt with a company who showed such lack of care and support for customers. With entire process was made so much more stressful by EMS. Not what a family in this situation needs.

The journey itself has raised alot of concerns for us. No one from the logistics team planned the timings to coincide with a ferry crossing. They arrived at holyhead for a ferry to dublin, however there was no sailing for another 5 hours. That's not counting another 2 hour delay by the ferry company. In total a delay of 7 hours ( 5 of which were entirely avoidable had someone in EMS done their job)

We have other concerns about the care our father recieved on the journey home, which we have brought to the company's attention and an investigation is ongoing.

Fraud and wanted to kill the patient. We had booked a long range icu air ambulance with oxygen supply to only realise we received a regular private jet with no oxygen that was the cheapest option available on the market for nearly half what we paid. We paid over 200,000 gbp and had no rights to reclaim the money. Their dispute resolution process only allows them to appoint a single arbitrator and doesn’t allow us to sue them. Dr. Mani and his team were rude and did everything possible to try and take our money and kill the patient.

Avoid EMS at ALL costs. They advertise as a profesional organisation however are NOT ethical in any way. They take your money and thereafter you have no rights. They have no consideration for their patients. We had a very bad experience with them. PLEASE AT ALL COSTS STAY AWAY. The CEO GERRIT VRIEZE Should be ashamed of himself at how his firm treats clients.

I recently employed the services of EMS Ambulance B.V. to repatriate my 79 year old mother from a hospital in the South of France to the UK.
I was in a situation where I needed to act as quickly as possible and did not have the time I would have liked to ask around for recommendations, in fact it’s not a service many people even know about, so I had to take a leap of faith and I’m so glad I did.
From my initial conversation with one of the doctors at EMS through to the hand over with the ambulance at Manchester Airport I felt the pressure was off me, EMS took charge, they took away all the pressures battling with a hospital who couldn’t communicate in English, kept in constant contact via phone and WhatsApp, arranged door to door transport and flew over a doctor to assess my mother and also escort her back home. Any questions I had I sent on a WhatsApp group they set up and they were answered within minutes and when I was having problems with the hospital I asked for an urgent call from their doctor and received one within minutes. When things are worrying you a speedy response makes all the difference, no sitting around watching and waiting for your phone to ping.
Finally having returned to the UK safely, this company are still trying their best to locate our lost luggage via the airline.
From my own experience I would have no hesitation in recommending EMS Ambulance who took away all the pressures from start to finish, they showed care and compassion throughout and I am deeply grateful for their help and professionalism.
A massive thank you to the EMS team and also to Olaf the doctor who cared for mum throughout the journey home.

As chief medical officer at different racing events I have had the pleasure of working with EMS AMBULANCE many times. The company provides friendly and highly qualified personnel along with very well equipped emergency vehicles prepared to respond to any situation.

I look forward to working with EMS AMBULANCE soon again!
