Evans Halshaw - Vauxhall Horsforth Avis 

I scheduled an appointment for a test drive, and I found Max to be exceptionally friendly. His approach greatly facilitated my decision-making process regarding the purchase of my vehicle today. He was not pushy, allowing me to consider my options at my own pace. Max provided clear and comprehensive information, and the car was prepared for me the following day. Evans Halmshaw Horsforth organised my car pick up, MOT and service, and return of car smoothly and efficiently. They phoned me to finalise arrangements. They were considerate when pricing up new parts. All members of staff were polite friendly and helpful

We went to see a particular car in this establishment, Krystian helped us to see this car, he was really patient with us and explained everything clearly to us. We were really happy with the service he provided and would highly recommend this business to anyone.

I have a Corsa bought and serviced by the Horsforth branch. I have always had excellent service. I would be happy to use again in the future

I saw a used BMW X3 at the Bedford site and they were very reluctant in helping me to buy the car and for it to be transported to Leeds. They advised me to contact the Horsforth branch and it could be transported for free. They were unwilling to make the phone call to Horsforth or help further. For this, plus not calling me back, Bedford you would have got a one star rating.

However, this review is for Horsforth. I thought that if I received the same cool response as with Bedford then there would be no sale.

Fortunately, I spoke with Reece (Horsforth) who couldn't be more helpful. I arranged to meet him and to go through my requirements and to obtain a valuation on my part exchange. It was a friendly, courteous and professional discussion and a price, plus options were agreed and a deposit was placed. The car would be delivered at no extra cost to Horsforth (Bedfordshire wanted to charge £250!)

The car was duly delivered 5 days later and it was well prepared. The only criticism I have of the Horsforth branch is that none of their electric chargers at the time were working, and this I find extremly disappointing especially when all manufacturers are pushing EV's. This is why a 4 star rating and not 5 has been given in this case.

Easy to book,i was kept informed with reminders ect.service as usual was good.all in all a calm experience.staff friendly and helpful which is a given!.

Pleased with the level of service received. Debbie was clear at all times about what work was essential and timescales. I have used this garage for many years and have always had excellent service.

My car was collected, serviced, cleaned inside and out, and returned to me within six hours - great service.

I find the Company doing very well, that what ever needs doing they always put it right.

Service was great as always but I am finding the labour costs a little too high lately, even for the most simplest of tasks.

I'm fairly fine with the remedial actions and support from the saleman. Understand he provided the best possible arrangements.

However, the overall experience was not good with below issues -

Peugeot 2008 issues -
1. Car purchased in Sep 2024, showing next MOT June 2025
2. However, just noticed by myself in Feb 2025 that the MOT had been overdue since June 2024
3. The MOT cannot be arranged at any EH branches near Wakefield, this increases the risk of safety and being fined
4. I had to request no paid leave for the MOT arrangements
5. Tyre worn close to the legal limit - mileage 41,148 (test date) vs 40,042 (purchase date). 1,100 miles should not make the tyre from normal level to legal limit. That tyre should be replaced before the deal
6. The car should be handed to customer without any MOT advisories

Took my car for its service, as part of the service they offered to hoover and wash it but upon return it hadn’t been touched and the locking wheel nut and service documents were found throughout the car. First time using Evan Halshaw for my Vauxhall service. Really friendly service team member Lee I think. They’re not the quickest at responding but good communication otherwise.

Evans Halshaw have a great team. From making the booking to picking up the car afterwards they are THE team I would choose to look after my car.

Visited without an appointment 18th February to look at a car which my son bought and drove away that afternoon. We were looked after by Mohammed who was attentive, knowledgeable and made sure everything was as it should be. He’s a credit to the garage.

Had my car fixed under what I thought at the time was an expensive warranty. However the fix far outweighed the outlay so a good investment. The staff
(especially Debbie) who should get a pay rise were very helpful. Great communication and professional. Many thanks 🙏
