Formula One Autocentres - Clacton on Sea Avis 

Martin at Clacton identified a wrong order for fitting from Asda Tyres. Different from what I ordered. He phoned me about ten minutes after my order. He looked up the tyre I wanted there and then and there was little difference in cost. I didnt realise when I was checking prices. Order with Asda cancelled and booked with F1. I checked and double-checked with Martin and nothing was too much trouble. Arrived earlier as instructed and by the time I had popped into a nearby shop it was done with absolutely no fuss. I will use F1 for all tyres for family vehicles and really impressed with my first visit. I liked I could ring direct too with no call centre

MOT was fine, but lots of hidden charges in their full service fee, they don't tell you this and just hit you with it at the end after they've already done it, don't ask you before hand or anything. When you call them they tell you something different to the website, and something different again when you go in person. One of the interactions I had with a man on reception was fine, however the other one was very rude and clearly judged me and treated me accordingly as I am a young woman. Felt extremely condescending, didn't have time for me or explaining anything and let me stand at the desk for a couple minutes doing nothing before bluntly telling me 'you can leave now'. If you're a young woman looking to go to Formula one, go with a man and they will treat you a bit better! Even better so - go to the one in Ipswich where the men working actually have some respect.

The guys are really friendly and helpful and kept me updated as to the vehicle status, I went in there as a women on my own with a young child and did not once feel silly or intimidated, I would defiantly recommend them and will certainly use them again .

do not go here! I've had 2 services in the past two years, thought yeah reasonable price and good reviews. Not even 3 months later, turbo blew and because of that melted 2 diesel injectors. The repair is just shy of £2K. Why are formula one to blame? Every X amount of miles, a engine flush is meant to be done to avoid oil getting blocked in the piping. This should've been done at 40K give or take which is the first service I took to them. The mechanic who is repairing my car says the pipe is completely blocked with oil sludge and looks like they've been putting cheap oil to when doing an oil change when I've paid for premium oil!

disgusting service. they've also broke my indicator on the past MOT, giving me a part worn tyre instead of a full one which is paid on the receipt. When I've gone to complain, they mess me about.

The Team in Clacton were amazing. Best price and could fit me in when I wanted the tyres fitted. The Tyre fitter was superb as the wheels are 22 inches and are very heavy. Fantastic service all the way. Will very much be my first point of contact any thing car related!

Got my air con re gassed on Monday then new tyres Tuesday. Very helpful and professional team at this garage. Nice big waiting area too. Highly recommend Formula One Autocentres if you’re looking for a good service!

Honest and fair. Had some trouble with front suspension after they had fitted some springs but they investigated thoroughly and replaced any parts that could have been damaged by their work at no charge. I only paid for the material and labour for the shock absorber that turned out to be at fault (which must have already been on the way out before formula one touched the car). Great family owner local business.

Booked a tyre repair online for the Clacton branch last Friday for Saturday morning.
Arrived with the tyre in the boot, explained what happened and the fact that the car had been driven for 3 or 4 miles whilst flat the day before and was advised that it may have "killed" the tyre and that was confirmed by a ridge/mark on the tyre.
So had a new tyre put on the car and advised to contact online sales for a refund of the non repair of original tyre, I did this and received that refund within a few days.

After spotting a slow puncture on my brand new car, I rang Martyn at F1 Clacton. Never having used F1 before I was reassured with the offer of price matching, quick service, and a careful technician that would look after my alloys. My car was booked in the following day.

Arriving early wasn't an issue - straight in. Then to Jamie who carried out the tyre work. Worries I had about being careful with my alloys to avoid any damage or kerbing when removing the tyre disappeared when Jamie suggested I check his work before and after. One puncture repair later and a quick turnaround, all is good. Fabulous service.

Jamie is a real credit to your company and I'll certainly be recommending others to visit because of this.

If I could give 0 it would have been but 1 was the lowest I could give. Took car for MOT they failed on tyres and disks.
Gave extortionate price for work. Took to local garage who couldn't find a problem with a car and passed MOT with out advisory’s.
Total rip off.

Needing a set of 20" tyres I shopped around for the best price and found Michelin PS4S to be the most competitively priced via F1 website.
Appointment booked/paid online, I turned up at the alotted time slot and felt immediately reassured by the greeting from Martyn (manager) who introduced me to Jamie (technician). They talked me through the process and carried out a pre inspection of my vehicle. The waiting room was clean warm and inviting. Upon completion Jamie requested I inspect the car with him, he discussed the new tyres and also carried out a free digital wheel alignment check.
The service I recieved, the knowledge imparted and overall friendliness of staff and care of my vehicle (Porsche) was exemplary. Well done guys!
