I lost access of my 334 movies.

I started with Vudu years ago which became Fandango. Over time I had accumulated 334 movies that I bought. Their latest move with Versant has totally screwed me.

When Versant showed up either you had to agree to allow them to sell all of your info or you could not use the service. I had got in a email loop with them trying to resolve it, but they will not move. All I asked was for them to give me access to the movies I have bought which was not covered by their unfair requirement. I think they need to learn a lesson to protect others from their practices.

What a joke!

Their customer service is a joke. I had difficulty trying to cancel my trial subscription and contacted them for a refund. They were not really helpful and were not very concerned about assisting and taking care of me. They were just going through the motions. They just want to take my and other customer's money.

I will try my best to not do any business with this company again!

overall good

I'm kind of sad to see all the bad ratings. When porting over the rest of my library a long time ago, the customer service rep was super nice, very detailed, and right to the point. In addition, the pricing hasn't changed and I have been able to use all vudu gift cards no prob, including today with my puchase of Home (2015 - little alien cartoon movie for the kid). The navigation is also still relatively the same, and I've only had a few buffering issues in the last few years. I like that it's accessible on my AP account and MA account also. I haven't used the fandango ticketing service in a while but I appreciate that it's still available for people. And ofc, I also like reviews and detailed breakdowns of content of each movie with the rotten tomatoes etc ratings. It's comprehensive.

Bought 2 senior tickets to see Anaconda…

Bought 2 senior tickets to see Anaconda at Ion theater in Edmond OK on the 12/30/25. After I paid thru PayPal I noticed the tickets were posted to a different theater in Stillwater OK. I’ve sent texts, emails (72hr)reply and tried calling but the # isn’t valid. Yes Got an email today, called the customer service number, explained issue they hung up on me.

When Fandango took over Vudu is when everything went down hill. Fandango’s customer service (or lack thereof) is a joke and just puts you off by slow replies to your problem and never getting to a solution. Very deceptive practices by saying a move is 4.99 and the when you go to purchase it’s 3 times the price. The stream is sketchy sometimes it works and sometimes in the middle of a movie it will say error. If I would have known how Vudu was going to end up after the purchase by Fandango I would not have such a large catalog of movies. Now I am stuck with a bunch of movies from a crappy company that provides a crappy service and has crappy customer service.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I had forgotten how much I did not like Fandango. It has been awhile since I used it. Now, I have paid 24.00 for a movie that I cannot watch because of buffering issues. I promise I won't buy or rent any more movies from them. Youtube has everything they do AND their movies play all the way through without stopping again and again and again. Plus I will be spreading the word.

The website included seats I did not…

The website included seats I did not select in my purchase, when called customer support they refused to remove the extra seats! only 2 options were to:

1. Cancel the order and refund part of the order due to non-refundable fees even tho I was still getting the seats I originally selected.
2. Cancel the order and give me full credit, therefore they'd still keep my money.

When asked to speak to a manager to get the non-refundable fees waived since I was still buying my original selected seats, they refused.

After this whole fiasco I realized that the website is designed intentionally to scam you... unavailable seats and your selected seats BOTH show up orange.

Their customer support is bullshit

I Enjoy Fandango!

With Fandango, I had a great experience, finding and watching a show that I could not find on any other service; no buffering, NO commercials, and great quality! 🙂

The website cannot be trusted watch what you do

Watch when you use the website because it switches you to a different date and then you can lose your money because you’ll show up on another date so be careful when you’re using fandango and then they will not refund you for a mistake that their website did it’s horrible. It’s a stealing of people‘s money so just watch what you do when you’re doing dealing with fandango be sure you clarify everything cause I pushed for one date and they gave me another date so be careful fandango cannot be trusted because they will not refund you any money either unless somebody dies they said or a show show closes down the only time they’ll refund you so just letting you know giving you guys a heads up. Do not trust fandango website

we needed an immediate gift card for a last minute birthday party. The website showed a money-off coupon code. I went through the purchase process, watching for place to enter it, never found it. I pushed what I thought was just another button in the process of buying it and the purchase finalized. Then the confirmation screen said, "It can take 60 minutes to 6 hours to receive the electronic download card" We couldn't wait that long. I don't even know where the card was sent, we never received it. 48 hours later I submitted a refund request based on those issues and I was told that I checked the terms and conditions button and I should have read it. No refunds. NO REFUNDS FOR A CARD I NEVER RECEIVED? Three weeks later, still no card. But hey, big shout out to PayPal, I contacted them next to contest the charge and the robot read the details of my dispute and issued a refund on the spot. No wait time, no push back, 100.00 back in my account. I will not use Fandango ever again and I will use PayPal more.

Customer service is useless

Customer service is useless. I have a giftcard that hasn't been used. They will "escalate" it to the correct department. Zero ownership. Can't speak to a real human.

Double charges and awful buffering.

I have had several issues over my experience with this program since it was called VUDU. It has terrible buffering issues even when you are using gigabyte internet speeds (I have had my singal/speed tested during some of these buffering issues). But the on top of that, they charged me twice for a Despicable Me bundle that I had purchased. When I asked a refund for one of the purchases, they admitted that they had a glitch in their system but claimed I was never charged the first time. I sent them screen shots of my charge account to prove that it had occurred, and I habe not received a response from them since. I STILL have not received a refund. My recommendation, use a credit card to pay for any of the movies that you pur hase here so that you can dispute the charges when they pull stunts like this.

Gift cards are impossible to use

I have Fandango gift cards. Want to take my grandkids to see a movie. When I go to the website to purchase tickets NOTHING WORKS. No problems with any other website so it is the Fandango site. Went and loaded stupid ap on my phone. Went through process. entered their riduculously-long 19-digit Card # into the frickin check out. Only to get an error: We are unable to process your order. Sat on hold for 20 minutes on the customer service number and finally hung up. WILL NEVER, EVER USE FANDANGO AGAIN FOR ANYTHING and I will tell everyone I know.

Terrible customer service

I was charged double when I hit pay, never received my tickets because the email on file had a typo, and couldn’t reach customer support through their website chat at all. I only managed to find a phone number elsewhere. When I finally spoke to someone, I was denied a refund simply because I called after the movie ended — despite the fact that I never received the tickets and was overcharged. Very frustrating experience and zero accountability. I will not be using Fandango again.

Will never use Fandango again

Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. I made a mistake in selecting the theater (Cinema de Lux Lowell instead of Cinema de Lux Hanover) and could not make an exchange. Zero customer service. Will never use this site again.

Wasn't able to easily refund my tickets because I had used a promo code. So by the time I called at 3:02, it was 2 minutes after the show time. Can't get a refund. Just use the theater you are going to to buy tickets, fandango is a pointless service

STAY AWAY!!

Unbelievable buffering issues make this service completely unusable. Everything worked fine under Vudu, and I had built a modest movie library. Since the switch to Fandango I can't make it through a single sitting without extreme buffering issues, regardless of the movie definition. Now the app just completely restarts in the middle of watching. The only reason I keep the app is for the movies I already purchased, but honestly I'd rather go back to DVDs. My TV is less than a year old, high speed internet, and all other apps work perfectly. The issue is clearly Fandango.

since VUDU became fandango home

since voodoo became fandango at home. I have had nothing but problems trying to stream my movies. The latest one tells me that there’s an error and I’m in the middle of a movie and it won’t play. They call it a playback error. If you’ve not used fandango at Home, I recommend you avoid it.
