Hired the caravan private been going to flamingo land for years when I was a kid been 3 times in the last 3 years on july paid 440 for wrist bands to get on hardly any ride as the ques for the rides are absolutely shocking can't get on anything because of all the school trips not fair on the people that's staying there flamingo land should at least limit how many trips are allowed in at once to let the people that's staying here to get a shot of the rides or open the rides at 9am like they use to do and close the rides at 6pm place is ran down needs a freshing up not much to see at the zoo some places to eat where closed place is expensive will definitely not be coming back until the change some rides used to be good years ago staff and security are friendly going to try fantasy island next time some rides need updated big time

Absolute waste of time and money

Absolute waste of time and money. Allot of rides closed or open and closed periodically throughout the day and some that were open weren’t operating at capacity meaning the queue waits were ridiculous considering the park wasn’t even busy. The staff seemed bored and unenthusiastic which added to the slow rider turn over. Disappointing day out overall. The pirate show was good and the actors put on a good show but that was it. I had emailed customer service and also got a terribly rude reply from an Andy Evett who I hope is not in any form of management as he will almost certainly be contributing to the parks downfall with an awful attitude.

Previous day we visited Diggerland and wow in comparison it was amazing, would highly recommend.

Gone downhill.

This used to be a great day out for animal lovers and thrill seekers but alas that has all changed. The whole place looks tired and so many rides closed all day limiting the rides available and increasing the queue time for the few rides operating. I won’t be visiting again and if the place doesn’t buck its ideas up, I suspect it will be closed in a few years time.

Been coming for 20 years this the last time

Been coming here for nearly 20 years first camping then in our own caravan now for first time in one of theirs a "Gold" van.

Van seems nice enough at first glance but sofa cushions are stained.

Carpet edges a little frayed would take 5 mins to clean up.

Pans have loose handles and rubbish.

Don't know if they've lowered the gas pressure or put a lower regulator on but cooking was AWFUL with no windows open the flame was dancing about, I suspect that and the terrible pans, a pot of covered pasta never boiled.

Electric oven took 30 mins after warming up to cook oven chips even then they were a soggy mess.

Thought the oven was broken at first but it doesn't come on unless you use the timer, of course there's NO INSTRUCTIONS telling you this.

Worst of it is the beds they are so uncomfortable I started sleeping in the car. An 18 year old in good health started having back problems and could barely walk meaning they had to stay indoors all day whilst we went out which then ruined a day trip too.

The bedsheets they use don't fit the beds, they're too small so you can't tuck the sheet under and 5 mins after you go to sleep the sheets a mess under you they're small beds already did you go out of your way to get even smaller sheets?

Rides were all open during our stay aside from flop flop and we were treated well. The whole park is like it was when we first started coming 20 years ago it just feels really run down, back then they turned it around now it's back in that state again.

The Tiger and Lion overlook the wooden path actually has holes in it, my walking stick went right thru it due to it being rotten and I nearly fell over. None of the fences have seen paint in years, splash area jets are messed up so they spray water on the footpath.

The upper deck restaurant they were once so proud of is now shut and half of it a staff area and looks really sad.

People mover we didn't manage to catch it working.
The walk thru house of horrors area is closed now.
Aquarium is closed now so that's another indoor area gone.

Considering the premium prices Flamingoland are charging now, our break was supposed to be nearly 2,000 for 5 of us in TERM TIME which was reduced to 1,500 in January when we booked. They're charging premium prices and delivering a pretty poor experience.

For the same money I could book all inclusive abroad, if I wasn't fussy. I'd get almost guaranteed good weather and beds I could sleep on as well as all my food included.

On the positive side the pool was always good, cleaned and very warm. Guest services were lovely to our ASD teenager and overall staff were nicer and friendlier than Alton Towers.

SAD to say but coming here from the old 99p camping days this will be our LAST trip here as to be honest I'd just rather not bother again.

Not great

Only went because we got the deal for a family of 4 £97 and it wasn't school holidays. It would definitely not be worth full price for 7 year olds. Not enough rides they could go on or would want to. Luckily not much queuing for the ones they did like. VIP wristbands were just pushing in. No organisation to it. No mono line running but nothing to say why. You have no way of knowing what is working until you get to it. The website is very out of date for the animals and some rides.Looks like the ride around the baboons doesn't work anymore. Apparently the hippos are still there (seen pics on Google reviews) yet they were not out when we went and the doors were closed to their area. No sugar gliders and trust me we looked! So one very upset son. No meerkats, we think. Not in the enclosure but still meet the meerkat signs. No staff anywhere to ask. No maps anywhere or given out and of course I had to WiFi or phone signal. Didn't see any tapir or capybara, otters. Not a place for Autistic children when you spend ages looking on the website and planning your day but then can't find half the animals, rides they were looking forward to weren't working. The Dino shop was open at 11. They both picked a toy I didn't fancy carrying it around the park so said we'd come back. It shut before 12.30 and never opened again. The other two stores did not sell the kits they wanted. One son ended up in tears. I felt awful. The playpark at the top was half roped off. The coach house only had half a menu on offer. No desserts and unfortunately the staffs English wasn't great so ordering was hard. Half the other food outlets were closed. I'm just glad it wasn't full price for tickets in. One son loved it because he saw the lion moving. One son said it was worth the money or journey there. So many of the animal enclosures seemed basic. Not good enough in 2025

Went with a party of over 90 so you can imagine the cost. Nearly half the rides were either broken down or closed through high winds. However the wind was nominal and 2 of the highest rides were working so can’t accept that excuse. Some kiosks were not open, the sea lions show was not on and the zoo seemed unkept. Total rip off so avoid at all costs. Won’t be going next year so will check out other theme parks .

Mixed Bag

Really mixed bag, kids had an absolute ball on all the kids attractions, and the staff were absolutely lovely towards myself and the kids, couldn't praise them enough, seemed to genuinely love seeing kids happy, but the reason it isn't a 5 star, it's extremely expensive and the rollercoasters for adults, were either completely closed or closed for the majority of the day, I rode Sik once before it was closed, then another got closed while I had waited for 30mins, also seemed to be alot of shops closed, by no means a bad day out but felt it wasn't value for money with the constant closing of rides

Booked a camping holiday for our family…will definitely avoid in the future

Booked a camping holiday for our family for 4 nights.
On arrival we was told to head to camping field and pitch at lower end.
Unfortunately we could not pitch there as it was full with a large caravan rally taking that area plus the overflow field too: anyway we found a spot and pitched up:
The facilities are basic no kitchen area over than a sink to wash up but it did the job.
However we was not aware there is no security or staff for the campsite and everyone was left to their own devices and site rules are not enforced. Children playing in the football area until 11pm/midnight shouting and swearing, climbing buildings, kicking balls into tents.
We are a family with mixed aged children with sen needs, and they understand having fun but they also understand having respect for other campers too.
It was coming upto 1am before could get our children to sleep due to how loud the site is.
I’ve never heard so much foul language coming from young children’s mouths.
It is fine I suppose if your coming in large family groups and your in tent is to sit around with the other adults whilst the kiddies do what they like, but not if your just looking for a family break and to sleep before midnight.
We have contacted customer services but for 48 hours we have had zero response.
This is I’ve sure we will avoid in the future:

Wow!!!

Wow! What an amazing family getaway!

The staff are amazing and go above and beyond! Errol is the most welcoming staff member you can have explaining everything, the enthusiasm and the genuine care he has is 10/10!! He told us about “Aroura” the new baby hippo and we went to explore and was not disappointed!! Well done flamingo land! We will be returning without a shadow of a doubt!

Karen is a lovely lady who is also very enthusiastic!

Please give this destination a chance as they are improving the site so there are new things on there way soon!

Couldn't believe how run down this park has got it used to have pride in how it looked, the staff looked absolutely fed up with no go in them, the only decent staff member was the lovely lady driving the monorail, a few rides were off all day, there's hardly any animals now, and to top our day off my daughter wanted fish and chips it cost £10.95 and when I seen The fish it was no bigger then a fish finger 😔 I complained the girl serving said that's the size we have to serve £7 for a fish finger, I'd add a photo but can't do it on here over all experience there we won't be back !!

No care for the environment or any animals in it. This has been heavily demonstrated through their appalling plan to build 104 woodland lodges, a water park, hotels, monorail and much more on scotlands treasured loch lomond front, taking out hundreds of ancient trees, the quiet serenity of the place and endangering the surrounding wildlife. The North of Scotland has been relatively untouched and preserved making it one of the few beautiful places left in the world. Evil acts such this are destroying natures work. Me and so many others are beyond upset with the news and will do everything we can to make sure this does not go ahead or else this satanic company will gain no business on the land.

Actually shocking!

No option to give it a zero!!

We arrived at the place for a football tournament weekend.
We arrived late around 9pm, we were checked in by a women whom had no interest in being there and was discussing with another colleague the fact she hadn’t had her tea yet and was so hungry. She handed us our paperwork and gave us very vague directions as to where our accommodation was. She did not inform us of a map being enclosed within the paperwork. However I had recieved a text message from BT promotions with the accommodation details so I knew where we needed to be.
After circling the area for 40 minutes in the dark we eventually found what we assumed was the caravan we had been allocated. It was not numbered. We typed in the code in the key safe however this wouldn’t work. After trying 3/4 times, I eventually gave up, during this time I was calling the number we had been provided if we came into any issues, there was no answer, then I realised that the key the hungry lady at the check in had given us was the key for caravan 36.
So I thought it was my mistake and drove to caravan 36 to find a family in full swing in there!
At this point I was outraged, I returned back to the check in point, I called the number for BT promotions again- still no answer .
So I had to call 24/7 flamingoland security .
What I endured that night by 2 grown men was absolutely shocking, sarcasm, intimidation and patronising hostile behaviour. Luckily my daughter recorded they way in which they were talking to me, they told me they had nothing to do with BT promotions and that I should be greatful that they were helping me, a women alone in the dark with 2 children at now 10.30pm. They didn’t apologise for the inconvenience nor did they sympathise or show any empathy situation or the with the mix up of accommodations.
Instead I was told I had problems and probably did this everywhere I went.
They confirmed that the key safe needed reset and therefore that’s why the key wasn’t released originally. So mistake by flamingoland and BT promotions.
They also did not care for the fact that check in had given me a key for a caravan that was already occupied by another family. Instead they found it amusing. One of them laughed at me. It was 11pm before we were able to get into the caravan, which the security men had already been into and turned on all the lights.. weird.

I spoke to Tom from BT promotions the following day whom admitted to knowing about the mix up with the accommodation and regretfully said he put his phone away and didn’t see the missed calls the night before .
He arranged a meeting with Rob the flamingoland manger for that evening.
Rob was apologetic and said he would investigate the issue with the security men in question. He also said he would like to make the rest of our stay enjoyable and to take any hostility away from the experience of the night before. He said to leave it with him and he’d be in touch with a solution/ resolution. I heard nothing. Since returning home Iv emailed Rob 3 times and left a voicemail . Iv had no response . Shocking that this place is meant to be for families and the people in charge are far from caring towards families. Ruined the experience and positive memories of a place I visited since a being a child. Never ever again. Paid £690 for the weekend!! Robbed.

Went today (Tuesday 6th may) for the first time in 13 or so years. Was really excited, but honestly, it was just completely ran down compared to how it used to be. Half the rides seemed to be closed or simply opening and closing all day, with me and my partner walking around for around 45 minutes trying to find a ride that was actually open. We watched pterodactyl get stuck with people at the top just hanging there. I’d say a rough 70% off the shops/food stalls were closed and I felt anytime I tried speaking to shop/food staff there was some level of language barrier. Thought we’d try the zoo to which it just looks like a building site and the old log flume ride rivers being completely dried up making the area look worse. I currently have a Merlin pass but wanted to try flamingo land with it being so close to home being a 45 minute commute compared to a 3 hour Alton towers commute, possibly get a flamingo land annual pass, but after today, we left at around 1/2pm and I can’t say I will probably ever go back to flamingo land, just feels like a fair ground now😔

Splash Zone Aquarobics

Although I can only review the Splash Zone and aquarobics class, I give the staff, facilities and class top marks. We have found the staff to be most helpful, polite and cheerful. It's great that we have the pool to ourselves for the duration of the session, as we have with the jacuzzi and sauna. The lady that runs the class is lovely and very professional. The price of £12, which also includes a drink and chat in the cafe afterwards is my best investment each week. Thank you 😃

Giving this a 1 as no option for zero.
Having stayed at the park many times over the past 20 years we decided to take the family for the day while staying in primrose valley.
Paid nearly £300 between us all which was a complete waste of money.
Hardly any animals in the zoo for the kids to see and the park is now very run down and dirty. In my opinion the park should have been spotless due to being closed for the winter months and only 1 week before the new season opening. They are good at taking money off everyone but not putting it back into the park. Tickets are also £2 more expensive at the gate pp than advertised on the website.Rip off and will not be back.

We stayed at a lodge for 3 nights…

We stayed at a lodge for 3 nights during the February half term. We had really nice time.

Check-in was quick and we were in our lodge in no time.

The lodge was spacious and clean. Kitchen was well equipped so it was easy to prepare cooked meals.

The stay included entry to the park, zoo and also to the waterpark and evening entertainment. It was nice that we could use all the amenities for all day after the checkout time.

The zoo was fantastic! We have very much enjoyed the keepers animal talks and I would very much recommend these.

Being February only certain rides were open, but this was clearly advertised on the website and also after booking we had a call to remind us of this. We loved the rides that were open and there were actually many open (our kids are primary school age), so it was perfect. The queues were not long, only a few minutes wait, some rides had none. For the rollercoaster, if the spaces in each wagon were filled to full there would be hardly any waiting too.

The waterpark was very good too. There are water slides and a jacuzzi for adults in a sperate room. We enjoyed the swimming pool and went twice during our stay.

Overall really nice half term break.

Absolute scam

Absolute scam. Booked tickets to come today, not once did it advertise that non of the rides are open. 3 baby rides in operation, thats it. Apparently its on the website if you “search”. Shouldn’t have to search if tickets are being advertised. It should advise you at the checkout page before you pay
. Kids used to love coming here but wont be returning. In addition the park is scruffy and run down. Wouldn’t be worth the price if the rides were operational.
