🤣

Very reliable service
I've been a silver member on Flightradar24 for more than 5 years. This is my longest payed membership for an app and I plan to keep it.
I use it mainly for plane spotting when I go by an airport and watch and photograph planes.
I also use it to look at flight stats before a flight to be able to evaluate if my flight will be delayed or not.
It is also good at finding info about the airframe I am about to fly.
Another important feature I use is the myflightradar24.com, where I have a log with detailed statistics of all the flights I ever took.
A minor negative comment is that their web browser site is somewhat too resource intensive.
Here is a detailed, comprehensive review based on your feedback. Feel free to copy and paste this! Review: FlightRadar24 – The Gold Standard for Aviation Geeks (8.5/10)
As someone who spends a lot of time looking at the sky and wondering where that giant metal bird is headed, FlightRadar24 (FR24) has become my absolute go-to app. After using it extensively, I’d give it a solid 8.5 out of 10. Here is the breakdown of why it’s great, and where it occasionally hits some turbulence.
The Good: Incredible Free Value & Rare Finds
For a free app, the amount of data you get is honestly staggering. You can see real-time positions, flight numbers, and even high-res photos of the actual aircraft.
Rare Plane Alerts: This is easily my favorite part. If you’re a plane spotter, FR24 is a lifesaver. It keeps me alert for rare aircraft or interesting flight paths that I would otherwise miss. Whether it's a retro livery, a massive Antonov, or a diverted flight, the app makes sure you’re in the loop.
Smooth Interface: The map is responsive, and the AR (Augmented Reality) feature—where you point your phone at the sky to identify a plane—is like living in the future.
The Bad: Accuracy "Glitches" & Altitude Issues
While the app is usually spot-on, it isn’t perfect.
Altitude Inconsistency: I’ve noticed that the altitude readings can sometimes be a bit "jumpy" or inaccurate. Sometimes a plane looks like it’s cruising at 0 feet while it’s clearly 30,000 feet up, or it shows weird jumps during landing. This is often due to how ADS-B data is processed (barometric vs. GPS altitude), but it can be a bit confusing for casual users.
Missing Data: Occasionally, a plane will just "disappear" from the map if it moves out of coverage, which can be a bit of a letdown when you’re tracking something interesting.
The "Meh": The Paywalls
This is where the 1.5 points were deducted.
Nickel and Diming: While the free version is great, it feels like they are starting to charge extra for very "small" bits of information. Features that used to feel standard—like detailed weather overlays, extended flight history, or certain aircraft specs (like serial numbers and age)—are now locked behind Silver or Gold subscriptions.
Subscription Fatigue: I understand they need to keep the servers running, but some of the locked info feels like it should be part of the basic package.
Final Verdict
If you want to know what’s flying over your house or track a friend's flight, this is the best app out there. It’s fun, educational, and the community-driven data is impressive. If they could just tighten up the altitude accuracy and be a little less aggressive with the paywalls for minor info, it would be a perfect 10/10.
Final Score: 8.5/10 — Highly Recommended for every aviation enthusiast!
Getting worse with every update.
Getting worse with every update.
Flights no longer in real time. Planes disappear while you are tracking them.
Planes appear to move sideways and backwards at times!
Every update with more and more junk added makes the core experience worse.
We use it to track flights - we don't need the unnecessary junk that breaks it.
This company has no respect for customers
This company treat their customers and the people who feed them the data terribly. Software crashes and updates that cause your device to stop working is the norm for Flightradar24.
As I always say a company that can't be bothered replying to Trustpilot review obviously don't care about customer service.
Constant Glitches
Been a customer for a few years now, but certainly won't be renewing my subscription , really annoying glitches especially when you're following an aircraft and it plays up, really disappointed ☹️☹️☹️☹️
Great app
Great app, haven't had any problems with it so far, always pretty accurate as far as I can tell.
Charging subscriptions
I did not ask to be subscribed
I cant even log on to communicate to ask what is going on.
They need to reimburse This not ok
My experience in last days is awfull
My experience in last days is awfull. I want to pay but it will not take money from my acount, but saying go back to Google, payment received after bank verify. Something is wrong with this page. I v tried to get the subscription at least 20 times. If you don't wanna keep this site/ app, then close it for good, and don't stress me at all.
This used to be great but now sucks…
This used to be great but now sucks @ss. World map is not even loading while ads are bombarding you with clean quick loading video's. Deff got there priority focussed on ads...
Now so bad, it's an utter waste of time
They used to get a small amount of revenue through me from their adverts. They now get none as their product is so useless I don't use it anymore.

En side jeg er skuffet over.Vil ikke anbefaler .penge ud af vinduet.
Utterly Useless App
The desktop version used to be acceptable, but a recent change added a large side panel that covers around 20% of the screen and functions mainly as an upsell area. When you click the X, it does not collapse the panel but sends you to a sales page, which feels misleading and very frustrating. This single design choice is enough for me to stop using the service and to look for alternative flight-tracking apps.
On mobile, the app is now filled with frequent, intrusive full-screen ads that interrupt use and appear to be deliberately designed to be difficult to close. Together, these changes mean the free offering no longer provides a reasonable user experience, especially when there are other flight-tracking apps that offer a cleaner interface and fewer interruptions. I would strongly encourage prospective users to compare alternatives using AI before wasting time on this one.

Brilliant for when I hear a plane fly over - I whip out flightradar and it tells me which aircraft im hearing!
Scammed by an advertiser for £29.90, Avoid!
The app is covered in adverts.
One called Marketnow24 popped up, somehow linked itself to an age check to access a map on the app.
I did authorise a zero pounds and pence transaction with my bank to get the access.
They used it to charge me £29.90 for a subscription I don't want and didn't authorise!!
Emailed them for a refund, told nope they won't give one.
Now a fraud investigation by my bank.
Avoid!
