We knew what we wanted and once we had found the car and had a test drive with Alex the rest was very straight forward. Alex was great, very professional and efficient. We arranged a date and picked the car up, simple. The only wrinkle was the valeting, we had to ask them to do it again and it still wasn't brilliant. It might not be a new car, but it was new to us and I was disappointed. However, we love our new to us car and would definately recommend FOW. There is so much choice and everyone is friendly and happy to help.

Not bad but could have been better
We are so far very pleased with the car and the sales process overall was acceptable but there was thing that was unsatisfactory and one that could be improved.
We arranged to collect the car one week after first viewing it and were rather disappointed to find that scratches on the bodywork had not been dealt with although we thought that had been agreed on the first viewing. Although were offered for these to be dealt with if we brought the car back, it would have meant bringing a second car and two more trips with each requiring a round trip of 3 hours. In the end we decided to take the car as it was - disappointing.
The other thing which could be improved is the sales process which takes too long, involves far too many forms and passwords. It looks as though it has been prepared by a London barrister with the aim of protecting FOW from absolutely any possible claim at all.
We have bought a number of cars from FOW over the years and this was not the best experience.

We are, however, sorry that the scratches discussed during your initial visit hadn't been addressed before collection. We completely understand why returning the vehicle wasn't a practical solution when this would have involved several additional hours of travelling, and appreciate why this left you disappointed.

Shocking customer service
Shocking customer service, if they got any slower they would stop. Booked a car for a test drive, had to wait a week then when i arrived car wasnt in the designated space. Found it on the other side of the car park. Went into limp mode during test drive.
Eventually seen a new one, paid in full came to collect and they have list the main key. Waited around over an hour before they told me.

Extremely disappointed start to finish!
Was extremely disappointed from start to finish!
Went in to this experience expecting good things as a colleague recommended FOW however, all I can say now is "Never Again"
Other than the truly lovely lady at the reception desk at the Winsford branch and Luke the salesperson (who we waited almost 2 hours to speak to and spent about 20 mins with), almost every interaction with a member of staff was rude, unprofessional and insensitive to our situation.
For somewhere that advertises and prides itself in 'award winning exceptional customer service' and 'high quality cars' we got none of this. Why put out cars for sale when they haven't been sufficiently checked over and need another 2-3 days before safe to be driven off the forecourt...whilst at the same time pressurising us to try and drive away the same day! While in the same breath admitting their priority is just to put as many cars out as humanly possible without sufficiently looking them over first. And heaven forbid you have a slight delay in banks transferring funds...FOW will hound you and berate you until they see that money in their account. Unacceptable behaviour and disgusting treatment from Neil the 'Collections Manager' who actively admitted he wasn't listening and just said yes to a plan only to do a 180 and pull the rug out from under us. Ended up losing complete trust and faith in FOW - get treated like you're absolutely worthless and take no consideration to a customer's disabilities. Ended up missing my own Grandfather's funeral because of FOW's constant mess up and received no apology or offer of compensation whatsoever. Really disappointed, went in hoping for a relatively smooth seamless process (for as much as purchasing a car can be!) and came out utterly stressed and mentally drained.

Turned up at FOW without an appointment…
Turned up at FOW without an appointment on the Tuesday. Salesperson (Harry) arrived almost immediately and went through the procedure. I had a car in mind and was asked if I would like to test drive it which i did. Whilst out on the test drive all the information relevant to the car was given to me. Returned to the office, went through the buying procedure and ordered the car. Arranged a date for collection(Thursday)
Harry explained he would not be at work on Thursday and that someone else would look after me.
I recieved a phone call on the Wednesday confirming the time for collection.
Arrived on Thursday at 5pm all forms completed and on the road with my new car before 5.30.
Excellent service and so far no problems at all with the car.

Very poor experience from start to…
Very poor after-sales service and customer care.
I purchased a vehicle that developed a fault shortly after collection and had to reject it. While the rejection was accepted, I was initially told by the after-sales adviser that I would receive my deposit back in full. However, Fords of Winsford have since refused to refund my deposit, leaving me significantly out of pocket and without a vehicle.
The lack of support and refusal to resolve the matter fairly have caused unnecessary stress and financial hardship. I have now been without a car for over four weeks, causing significant inconvenience and disruption to my daily life.
I contacted the Motor Ombudsman for assistance, only to be informed that they could not help because Fords of Winsford are not subscribed to their scheme
Based on my experience, I would not recommend Fords of Winsford and am extremely disappointed with the way I have been treated throughout this process.

I have taken the time to review the case and the concerns you have raised. While we are sorry that you feel your experience was unsatisfactory, there are a number of points in your review that we believe need clarification.
The vehicle did not develop a serious mechanical fault. We understand why the appearance of the oil warning light caused concern, however, following diagnostic investigation on site, the issue was identified as a faulty oil sensor. The sensor was subsequently replaced. There was no evidence that the vehicle had suffered the serious mechanical failure suggested in your review.
Notwithstanding this, and as a gesture to resolve the matter, your request to reject the vehicle was accepted within the applicable 30-day right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We have therefore acted appropriately in recognising and processing your rejection.
With regard to the financial aspect of the matter, we cannot discuss the details of your individual agreement or financial arrangements in a public forum due to confidentiality and data protection obligations. However, we categorically do not accept the suggestion that Fords of Winsford is improperly withholding funds from you. The financial position arising from the transaction is more complex than the review implies and has been dealt with in accordance with the terms and circumstances of the original agreement.
We are also disappointed to hear that you feel customer satisfaction was not a priority following the sale. We have continued to engage with you regarding the matter and have taken steps to address your concerns. While we appreciate that you may remain dissatisfied with the outcome, we do not believe it is fair or accurate to suggest that we have simply refused to resolve the situation.

Great choice of cars and vet good…
Great choice of cars and very good prices.
Good sales service no pressure at all. The only issue is with the collection all well until they just give you the keys and point you to the door !!! We then had to inspect the car on our own to make sure all the little issues had been sorted which they have. Except when we opened the bonnet all of the dust a leaves were still there just needed an air jet to clean them out which was then done and then all good to go. Other than that great service but it is the little things and also the last things that leave the best impression.
