SCAM SCAM and it´s going on social media..

This company is a scam. I wanted to withdraw my money since I don´t use their services any more. First they said that there is 9000 dollars and that can be withdrawal, now there is less than 1500 and I need to pay som fees..There must be somewhere were we can get som legal help.

DO NOT USE FRIENDS PROVIDENT INTERNATIONAL.
I paid into a policy every month for 15 years, when I’ve tried to get my money released it has been almost impossible. I’m 2+ months in and still have not received my funds. The policy performed worse than a standard bank account. Put your savings or investments anywhere but here please!! I feel that i must add to this, the below reply is simply for others to see when they read this review. They have done nothing to resolve this issue apart from to apologize and then tell me i will have to wait yet another potential 7 days. I stand by this review and still advise everyone to stay away from FPI.

Lost about £16k - terrible business ethics.

Hmmm. I'm a bit delayed writing this, as my experience was some years ago - but it still pains me occasionally and so I thought I'd at least write a review to encourage others not to invest with this company.

Basically, through Devere Group, I was mis-sold a mortage plan and had put in around £16k. I then had a change of financial circumstances and was told I couldn't reduce my monthly payments. The policy thus ceased and they kept all the money I had invested.

I hope some fat-cat choked on it.

Please avoid!

Do not use FPI

You should be able to apply Negative Stars.
Simply a scam company that extracts RIDICULOUS FEES from their clients.
In the old days you wore a mask and carried a gun, this company just steals your investment money as fees, fees and more fees.

Did I mention the EXTORTIONATE FEES!

I was recommended by my St James Place financial planner to use the platform. She now tells me she NEVER recommends them anymore as she is appalled by the archaic platform and complete lack on customer service. She tells me this now FFS.
Their online systems are from the Stonage.
Like some old crumbling British aristocracy home.

Whatever you do...DONT USE FPI

READ REVIEWS ONLINE. THIS COMPANY IS JUST SHIT.

THEY WILL SLOWLY SAP AND DRAIN YOUR INVESTMENTS

Deceptive sales practices

Deceptive sales practices. Usury fees eat up any return your investment might generate. There is no way out. Stay very far away from them

The fees and charges are ridiculous

The fees and charges are ridiculous. I was supposed to get $8x,000 back when I exit the plan but at the end received $7x,000 because so many initial plan fees and conversion fees deducted. Many unknown fees were charged during the year as well. Blood sucking company!

Appalling service
I have limited amount that was to mature when I turned 60. I know what I asked for. They take your money and give nothing in return. friends - moe like enemies,avoid like the plague peeps. The one star is because I could not give zero. The response I recieved when I asked politey to have funds moved after I turned 60 - this is how they take your money. AVOID AVOID- the below is not true and note the surrender value and the fees. All my money,

I am the executor for an estate

I am the executor for an estate. Friends Provident have been completely obstructive paying out on a life insurance policy. Repeated delays, multiple demands for id documents. I would never willingly do business with this firm.

Charges .. charges ... more charges ....

I invested a lump sum over 10 years ago, but due to poor advice from my financial advisor and extremely high fund fees — including numerous hidden charges on top of already steep quarterly fees — I ended up losing half of my investment over that period. As if that wasn’t bad enough, trying to retrieve what’s left has been a frustrating and drawn-out ordeal. Never again.

i had a critical illness insurance…

i had a critical illness insurance policy with FPI for over a decade. Unfortunately I had to undergo surgery that fell within the scope of critical illness which was insured under the FPI critical illness policy. I notified FPI of the surgery and since then it was a fantastic experience (under the circumstances). The level of professionalism FPI Dubai team demonstrated throughout the claims process is second to none. I was guided though the process with great ease and detail which made the entire process seamless, efficient and above all not burdensome at all. The FPI Dubai team and particularly Darren Watson went out of his way to keep me informed every step of the way and this has been extremely comforting. I very much appreciate Darren's and FPI's attention to the matter and to say that they have been fantastic would be a gross understatement. All I say is Thank you.

FPI undertook a prompt review and decision on the matter – the response time and efficiency has indeed surpassed my expectations.

Finally, and at a human level, I thank FPI Dubai and Darren for always asking about my health and recovery. It always meant a lot to me, despite not having met I always sensed the genuineness in their query about my health and recovery.

I would strongly recommend Critical Illness insurance and products/services from FPI.

Successful FPI Claim

From the moment of submitting my claim i was contacted by an underwriter who kept me informed of what was happening. They made it clear what documentation was required and how it was being handled. The claim was accepted and payment was made within 48 hours. I could not have expected more if I had designed the system myself. What I really appreciated was the prompt and detailed feedback regarding the processing of my claim. Well done FPI

Down 10% from what I had paid in since…

Down 10% from what I had paid in since 2008.
Any random stock in any major index would be x3+ in that time frame.
Worst performing investment I have been involved in.
Decided to cut my losses at 10% down with 12 years to go to maturity.
Withdrawal was fairly quick and painless, the staff pleasant. The website and the company emails are full of bugs and errors, it does not instill confidence.

Is it possible to give -1 review? Tread Very Carefully!!y!

Why, Why, did I not read these reviews prior to investing our life savings! Please Anyone who is wanting to make money on their investments DO Not go here.,. My suggestion is you will do better with your money under the mattress! Theres NO SERVICE, no Transparency, No details... However, the absolute Insulting part is I can see the huge qrtly deductions through sell-down of my shares, to pay the NON-Service fee! It seems FPI are making more money than I am! After reading the below reviews I now request a written guarantee I'll get my money BACK when, and in a timely manner (ie within days), of wanting to end this 'relationship'! Im currently VERY Nervous. New customers Steer clear, DO NOT GO HERE

Thank you for an efficient and compassionate claims process!

As an IFA assisting clients in the UAE, it can be tough to build relationships and trust. When that trust is built, it is vital that it is maintained and honoured. The successful processing of a +1 million USD insurance claim for my client recently ensured that my reputation and trust remained intact. Thank you, FPI and Darren, for your compassion, empathy, and efficiency in this claim and payout process. During what is likely the hardest time in my client's life after losing her husband, the ability to eliminate the financial uncertainty that she felt was greatly appreciated.

AVOID!

Invested 20k in 2004. Over 20 years (!) they have grown to 24000. Largely because of poor investments and high management fees (what management?). Just checked: If I'd invested the same amount myself in the S&P500 (easiest investment choice ever) it would be worth 300k by now.
Stay away!

Very slow to respond to emails and the…

Very slow to respond to emails and the fee structure is very high. Trade transactions are extremely slow, and the fees extremely high. The website has slowed down recently for some reason. Although I've made money it's because of my investment decisions not theirs. Their deductions represent 22.1% of my annual dividends. That's predatory, so, stay away!!!!
