Freedom Health Insurance UK Avis 

Wish I could have given them no star at all. Worst service I have ever received. Avoid these scammers at all costs. I was with another medical insurance company for the last few years and they are brilliant. I moved to this crap due to a better quote on a comparison site. That turned out to be a big mistake. I informed them of my backache and it’s been two weeks but no progress. I called multiple times and every time I had to tell the whole story and the response is ‘we are trying to get some information from your GP’. This company is a joke. Avoid at all costs.

I have been a client of other insurance companies and always dread make a claim, but my experience with Freedom has been incredible. So helpful, so supportive. They make everything so easy and go that extra mile to help.

Worst insurance I ever had, I was trying to get my authorization code which i haven't received yet its 3rd week now. I had some skin rashes and want to see dermatologist my GP gave referral letter and mentioned this is only happen now and had no pervious history like that. But still freedom insurance want more details from my GP which he provided. But still freedom didn't issue any authorization code.
In meanwhile my GP prescribed me another medicine and my skin got better.
there is no Point wasting money that kind of Insurances although i had my private insurance for last 16 year and first time i switch to freedom and i found them worst

I have been with many different insurance companies over my life- and I have to say with my hand on my heart this is the best one in terms of administration and the convenience of how my claim was handled. I mainly spoke to a very polite man called Stephen, (my first claim) who not only guided me through everything I had to do, but was very empathetic towards my situation. I have called three or four times and have been able to speak to somebody with no waiting time whatsoever. I am actually a medical secretary and know the difficulties I have trying to speak to other insurance companies- I usually give up. There was a query with my claim, but this was dealt with very quickly, and I was able to book an appointment to see a consultant the very same day, and approved for my MRI within minutes of calling Stephen today - long may it continue

Freedom Health have been very supportive during my ongoing problems with Prostate Cancer. They have successfully made the Claim easy and stress free. It is refreshing that I am in touch with one of the team you can discuss my case on a 1 to 1 basis and my main thanks go to Maggie Glasspool in the claims department.

By all means do not buy a policy with this insurance.
They will not pay for claims when referrals are given.
They give the worse excuses arguing that the terminology (no matter how subjective) on the letter means they will not pay. And lastly the customer service received is appaling.

One star is too much !!! Ive been a member , paying my premiums for 18 months now . I put in a claim over a month ago now to see a specialist privately , and they still not have not authorised my claim. I am appalled at their lack of care / urgency. They are trying to say it is a pre condition that I have had which is absolute nonsense as my issue started as a side effect from my second vaccine. I am shocked at how long it is taking. Havent heard from them in 2 weeks now . Dont waste your hard earned money with this company . Im so disgusted with this .

I am terribly upset. They didnt even carw that a,family member had died. Their lack of empathy is astonishing. They are dealing with health and their Doctor just didnt care. When asked if He cares he said nothing. Just awful.Go nowhere near this company.

I've been with Freedom for just over 12 months now after I switched my health insurance plan from a big insurer who let me down and I don't regret it at all. I feel like I am finally talking to real people and not to some emotionless answering machines (like with the previous company). I made two claims with Freedom so far and they have been very fast and professional in their response. I don't normally like to write online reviews but I feel they deserve it. Keep up the good work!

I've been with Freedom Health Insurance for over 3 years and I have always received a great service from them. Last year I needed surgery on my knee and they were very fast at approving my claim and sorting everything out (despite the whole covid situation). I can't recommend them enough.

In an hour I had a diagnosis and thanks to Julia's efforts a prescription. She went above and beyond to ensure I had my medication. Thank you.

Freedom is a great company not sure how true below reviews are. Been insured with them for nearly 6 years without any issues.

Great staff great service

Honestly the worst health insurers I have ever come across. Utterly awful customer service - even the senior team read off a script whatever your question is. Then they did everything possible to not pay for any claim - demanding repeated letters, refusing specific locations. Do not waste your money on these cowboys.

By far the worse experience I ever had with a health insurer in the UK.
Tried to save a few pounds by choosing Freedom but ended up having a terrible experience.
They are quick to book you an online GP consultation but after that I had to call them back to request my prescription, taking two days to receive. They referred me to an “online pharmacist” that charged me £18 for some tablets that cost around £4.50 in Boots. After 18 days waiting for my referral letter that never came, I just cancelled the plan. Their excuse was that they must check ALL my previous medial records before approving any claims. They were basically looking for absolutely anything to deny my claim. Luckily, my problem was a simple indigestion that soon went away, but image if I had something more serious or critical, I most certainly would be dead waiting from their referral letter. Lesson learned, better pay a few pounds more and have a proper insurer!
