Good customer service and excellent delivery men

I am totally disappointed and very upset! It took 10 weeks for my table and chairs for my table and chairs to arrive which should have take 4 weeks! Only to find when delivered that the wrong table height was delivered! It should have been a bar stool height table but they sent me a kitchen dining table height .i am now having to wait a further 4/5 weeks minimum.I will not be buying anything else from furniture village and will be advising yourself and others to stay away

We had a fantastic experience with Furniture Village from start to finish.

A special thank you to Shirley at the showroom, who was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. She took the time to answer all of our questions without any pressure and made the whole purchasing process smooth and enjoyable. Her excellent customer service really helped us choose the right beds for our family.

We'd also like to thank Geoff and Pete & another guy (donno his name-Sorry !! ), who delivered and installed our beds. They were punctual, friendly, and extremely professional. They went above and beyond by helping us dismantle a difficult shelving unit before installing the beds, which saved us a lot of time and prevented what could have been quite a stressful situation. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them.

It's rare to receive such consistently excellent service from both the sales team and the delivery team. Thank you, Shirley, Geoff, Pete & all, for making the whole experience so easy and enjoyable. We would happily recommend Furniture Village to family and friends.

No pressure when purchasing. Sales rep was very helpful. I was kept up to date with delivery times and the installation guys were very professional.

Sofas have arrived. Earlier than expected and look better than remembered. Really pleased with them. Cribbs store Bristol - Charlie was great, she was helpful not too salesy just happy to answer our questions.

Lovely delivery team. Respectful of property. Resolved a missing pillow issue but when I checked the pillow delivered in the night they had delivered a soft not medium. Still waiting for update a couple of days on.

Great service. Professional, but not pushy. Sofas delivered on time and very helpful in getting the sofas in the right place and working correctly. Well impressed with Furniture Village and would highly recommend 👍

Charlie was very friendly listening to my requirements without pressure selling. She seemed to be very confident about the products on offer in store and answered all my questions couldn’t have been more helpful. Very pleasant experience didn’t expect to find the perfect sofa for me so quickly! Wanted to see and feel product not just order on line without being able to try for comfort etc. many thanks Charlie well done your customer care is exceptional. Hope delivery etc has same effort attached!! X

From visiting Furniture Village in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol to receiving our bed today has been nothing but first class.
We had the help and advice we needed in store, also from making a query by phone to it being delivered and put insitu. The guys who delivered were very courteous, taking their shoes off before going into the bedroom and asking if we were satisfied with the bed before they left. Could not recommend the store more - excellent service and excellent staff, thank you!

Paula was amazing in the cribs store. Helped us find the brand of sofa we had seen online explained the cost etc and gave us a material chart so we could choose our colour. Offered a hot drink, then left us to talk amongst ourselves to make a decision. Once confirmed the one and colour she explained the after care which we were very happy to have. In all a great experience.

Having made a phone call to the Bristol store where I had originally placed the order, Natalie was the person that dealt with my question. She was both friendly and efficient, being quick to investigate the issue in relation to my order and equally as quick to sort out a solution.

If I could rate lower than a 1 star I would.

We spent £4000 on two sofas in September 2025. By May 2026 the seated cushions have failed and are very bumpy and in poor condition.

We filled the store guidance on maintenance and how to look after the cushions.
We emailed the store and were told to speak to customer service.
We emailed customer service and got no reply.
We went to the store and were told they couldn’t help, email customer service.
I emailed the store manager and two customer service emails.

Among the final three we got a response stating it was normal ware and we’d likely not been taking care of the cushions correctly.

We’ve basically been told it’s normal for a sofa cushion to be bumpy and uncomfortable after 8 months of use, keeping in mind it’s a £2000 sofa.

I will take this further but I would strongly recommend that anyone considering buying a sofa from furniture village re thinks and shops elsewhere.

My previous sofa was from DFS and the cushions lasted 6 years with very little ware.

I’ve added the following in response to your standard copy and paste reply you sent out to this review - the poor customer service (aftercare) and slopey shoulder response is what’s led to this negative review!

You were left to browse and have a good look around. Nobody pounced on you, the minute you entered the door.
Charlie was very informative, helpful and answered any questions. She kindly delivered the samples to our home, to help make our mind up.
We were very happy with service.

Good selection of very comfortable beds and very friendly staff

The whole process from initial viewing in store to the day of delivery was very good. The store staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The delivery team were exceptional

Salesman was great very patient while we were choosing a new Mattress gave all the information we asked for exceptional customer service

We entered the store and were greeted by Charlie. We were free to roam around without being pressured. We left the store to look elsewhere but then returned. Charlie greeted us again, she was very knowledgeable and answered our questions. Our purchase was quick and easy. Fantastic service.

Attentive and knowledgeable, great team. Can’t wait for my sofa now
