Game On was established in Church Street, Saffron Walden, Essex in November 1997 and moved to larger premises in the High Street in 2000 to accommodate a larger selection of stock. We specialise in video games for Nintendo, PlayStation and XBOX consoles. We have a large range of all gaming formats from new releases back to old retro consoles of the 90's. We sell new and pre-owned games for all these major gaming systems as well as offering a pre-order and reservation service, and can often get hold of hard to obtain titles. We are increasing our toy and game selection, currently we stock most major toy brands including LEGO, Playmobil, TOPModel, Magic the Gathering, Pokémon, Lorcana, Dungeon’s & Dragons, Remote Control Cars, Airfix, Sylvanian Families, Jigsaws and many Board Games. We are adding new lines all the time from Goo Jit Zu to Beyblades to Lorcana and the ever so popular Squishmallows. We joined the Toymaster group of toy shops in 2009 and became a branded member in August 2019, changing our name to Game On Toymaster. Game On Toymaster also stocks the full Games Workshop range of miniature figurines and accessories, and has in-store gaming every Sunday. Here gamers can learn to play and paint their models in a safe friendly environment. Also most Fridays, we run Friday Night Magic from 6:30pm, also Saturdays from 6:00pm is Commander and Standard is run every other Sunday from 4pm onwards. During the first Covid-19 Lockdown we re-launched our website with Click & Collect ordering together with Ring & Reserve telephone orders to keep the toys and games coming to local and national customers.

Games overpriced?
I went in with my boy and purchased a couple of games but I was shocked to find they were extremely overpriced, one was an Xbox 360 standard copy of dead island priced at 8.00! Currently online at 1.00, another was state of decay 2 at 8.00, around 5 for that so not as bad but still the price seems way off,

The pricing of our pre-owned games depends on a number of factors, the condition of the game, how many we currently have in stock, whether it is a Limited Edition or has extra DLC also the scaracity and desirability of a title. In addition to this, there is the staff time taken in pricing, cleaning and filing the games away, we still need to make a profit off of selling the game.
We try to price our games in an affordable and competitive way. In a shop, you can always check the condition of a disc straightaway, this isn't available for online purchases. We always guarantee our discs, should you have a problem with a game it can be returned to the store within 10 days.

Just a wonderful shop that is highly recommended.
