Good quality but slow to complete and poor communication.
The quality of work and the workmen/engineers were absolutely fine. We phoned for an emergency engineer as our garage was stuck open to the street. The engineer came within 3 days and we had to wait seven weeks for fitting. Communication was minimal and we had to chase them a few times.

Very impressed with the service
Very impressed with the service. My roller door gave up and left us in a difficult situation.I contacted GDF late afternoon. They sorted me an appointment for the very next morning. After the engineer (Paul) diagnosed my problem, I was amazed that he could fix my door that morning.
Great service from phone call to completion.

£19.95 to quote - hell no !
Good speed of response … but says no obligation quote but won’t come unless you pay £19.95. Which is a small amount but what if quote was ridiculous - doesn’t seem ethical.
Quoting is part of business and should be costed into their sales model.

I had to pay £19.95 for Garage Doors…
I had to pay £19.95 for Garage Doors Fixed to visit me and provide a quote. With the benefit of hindsight, I should NEVER have agreed to pay for a quote in the first place. Furthermore, they said they would provide me with a written quote. 6 days later, I am still waiting...
Another company is visiting me shortly and they have agreed to provide a written quote - for no payment.

The company should make there terms…
The company should make there terms more clearer when it comes to their minimum charges. All I was told there would be £20.00 call out fee, which is fair enough, then told I need to pay £199.00 for a garage door adjustment that took less than a couple of minutes to fix.

Been ripped off!
Phoned this company to get a quote on fixing fiberglass double garage door. They quoted £2,217.05 which we thought was expensive but needed it fixing as it could not be closed. They said that it would be fixed and working. They turned up and was not there for half a day, They replaced the springs and brackets/bolts ect and said would now need to spend another £800 to have the motorised part replaced!!..so left with a garage door which is not fixed as was explained. It has to be opened manually as is incredibly hard to do.I have since tried to make contact with the firm as feel the work carried out was not as agreed but guess what they dont respond!!..THEY WERE QUICK TO TAKE MY MONEY THO!.. Feel like just been ripped off. Since spoken to another company thats in the garage door game and they could not believe what was charged for the work done. Ive emailed and asked for a breakdown of the bill ie parts and labour but never got a responce. What a surprise!! Take your money and run merchants. Would not recommend steer clear.
