Fast efficient booking, service and problem fix.
When my garage door would not fully open or close, I used GDF's website to contact them on Saturday 26th September. They responded immediately and arranged for a technician to visit my property on Monday 28th. The technician arrived shortly after 8am as agreed and resolved the problem very quickly. There was no charge for the fix, just a £20 callout charge. They are sending me a quote for replacement parts; in case the problem reoccurs or I wish to replace the parts anyway. The booking process was easy and the service was excellent.

Answered phone quickly on a Saturday…
Answered phone quickly on a Saturday and came out that afternoon advising at what time they would be arriving. Didn't like the amount charged but I suppose its the way of the world there days.

Great service, no nonsense approach
Peter came round early. Confirmed no issues with door. Put my mind completely at ease. He could easily have made something up etc but he was honest polite and totally explained the mechanics etc. We inherited the door and knew nothing but now we do. Fantastic service. Worth the £19.95 call out charge. Thank you

The repair from first visit to completion took nealy 10 weeks. no replies to my initial concerns.
Evebtually given a date and time and no one showed; no reply or apology to my text message.
overall a very poor service.

Waiting almost 10 weeks for a repair to be completed is understandably frustrating, and we also apologise that a technician did not attend on the date arranged and that you did not receive a response or apology following your message.

Mis-Represented Service
Brand new build double door - automation request
Work person arrived - Opened and closed garage door on brand new build completed 3 days ago!!!
And then asked what the problem is?
No communications from office to work person about call out task.
Told by office that survey will be done and then can complete works same day if happy with quote..
Turns out not qualified to be electrican so work cant be done by them same daym MISS SOLD AND REPRESENTED SERVICE
£19.95 for 3 min visit !!!

We’re sorry to hear that the service you received did not match the expectations set when the appointment was arranged.
Our technicians are experienced in garage door installation, repair and automation, but they are not electricians. Where additional electrical work is required, this would need to be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician before certain automation work can be completed.
We do appreciate, however, that this should have been made clear to you before the visit, particularly if you had been advised that the survey and installation could potentially be completed on the same day. We’re also sorry if the technician had not been given sufficient information regarding the purpose of the appointment before attending.
The £19.95 charge covers the technician’s attendance and assessment, but we fully understand your frustration if the visit did not provide the service you had reasonably expected.

Lack of communication from GDF office
Very, very poor communications from GDF office. Do they know where there engineers are? Appointment made for Friday morning. Engineer didn't turn up. I phoned up and was assured engineer would call. He didn't! Same thing Monday, no engineer, waiting in for him. Two days wasted. He did phone on Tuesday, came and did an excellent job.
