I ordered the Paxon modular shelving…

I ordered the Paxon modular shelving unit on the 24th April, which was part of my son’s birthday present to do up his room.

I ordered a couple of parts from Habitat due to having a voucher there, and it came next day.

The rest from GLTC have still not arrived, and will be a month since ordering. This is after chasing (as was not told this would take this long) and being told ‘it will be within 2 weeks, if not sooner’. As of Monday, that will have passed.

In all my emails, not ONCE was an apology given. Just ‘this is the update’.

Absolutely appalling service, and had I not already ordered the parts from Habitat (of which the return time has lapsed due to how long it’s took GLTC) I’d be cancelling and going elsewhere.

Don’t blame your warehouse move - this is your poor planning and management.

I will never order from them again and will advise anyone else to do the same.

Item not received, company seems to be in trouble

Ordered on 22nd April and haven’t received it 3 weeks later - asked for a delivery estimate but told they can’t give one, then finally got a tracking number yesterday, only to be contacted by the delivery company this morning to say they’ve not received the item yet either - seems to be chaos! They’re blaming a warehouse move, why they are still taking orders they can’t fulfill? No sincere apology, or offer of a discount or partial refund etc., just really poor customer service. The delay has delayed completion of my son’s bedroom which was meant to be done for his birthday (there is a handyman waiting to fix furniture to the wall, so it has delayed all the other jobs he’s coming to do too). I’ve ordered a few times in the past and recommended them, but they’ve lost my custom for how poorly this has been handled.

We want to sincerely apologise for both the delay and the lack of clear communication you received. This isn’t the level of service we aim to provide. As you mentioned, we have recently been undergoing a warehouse transition, which unfortunately caused disruption to many orders, but we fully appreciate that this should have been communicated much more clearly and proactively.
We’re also very sorry that you weren’t given a clearer delivery estimate sooner and that the tracking information added to the confusion rather than providing reassurance. That’s something we're actively looking into.

Delayed Delivery, Wrong Item Received, Customer Support Not Proactive.

I am very disappointed with Great Little Trading Co. It feels as though everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong throughout the whole customer experience. Initially I experienced site issues meaning that my legitimate discount codes were not applying at checkout. After completing a purchase, my order was significantly delayed. I had to chase the order several times before it was dispatched. When the order finally arrived they had sent it in the wrong colour. I have been waiting for almost 2 months for a resolution and I have not yet received a replacement in the correct colour. Overall I don't think that this is an acceptable level of customer service.

Avoid the company, they don’t dispatch at all

Place my order at the stat of April, there was no dispatch for 3 weeks I wrote a email couple week after the order
and asked for a refund no one answered for more than a week and the next email. Awful service!!!

Hi Valery, I am so sorry that we let you down. We are in the middle of a major warehouse move which has caused delays. We understand that 3 weeks for dispatch isn't acceptable, we will investigate why it didn't go out within our 10 working day lead time. I am also sorry that you didn't receive a response for a week, our average response time is 16 hours at the moment, so this shouldn't have happened. Again, I am so sorry we let you down. I can’t get over how poor the service…

I can’t get over how poor the service is from this company. I placed an order on 13th April, and it has still not been dispatched. They keep saying they are experiencing delays because of a warehouse move, yet they continue to push discounts and money-off offers to drive more sales. I’ve asked for an update as to when my order will be dispatched, and they simply say the can’t give me one. I’m so disappointed, I will avoid this company at all costs in the future.

Unfortunately had to cancel

Unfortunately, I had to cancel my order as it wasn’t despatched in anywhere near the timeframe advertised on the website. Fortunately, customer services did respond and refund me, but clearly need to improve on despatch and delivery times based on recent reviews.

Ordered a wooden farm set a few weeks…

Ordered a wooden farm set a few weeks back. Apparently the first got sent to the wrong warehouse so they are resending another out. This was last week. Still no order received or no update of dispatch. Have now stopped responding to emails. Would not order from them again, not impressed!!!

Ordered a transport woven storage…

Ordered a transport woven storage basket despite having a previous bad experience with this company to give them a second chance. Ordered 11 days ago. No product received at all. Emailed 5 days ago asking for update. No response. Will not use again. It looks like I’m not the only one as recent reviews are very mixed.

I am so sorry to read about your recent experience. I can see your order was delivered on Monday 20th April and that there was a delay with your order. We are currently moving warehouses to improve our service but this is causing some short term disruption as we move. We are trying hard to communicate with customers and keep them up to dated. I am sorry to also read you didn't receive a response on email. Could you please confirm which email address you used or if you replied to your order confirmation? What an amazing company

What an amazing company. I ordered a couple of playsets for my grandson. Delivered very promptly but a toy knife from one of the sets was missing. I messaged on instagram and got an immediate response with an email address. Emailed and again got an immediate reply. A complete new set was posted the next day and arrived this morning. Could not be better service. Will certainly use again and highly recommend. Thank you Great Little Trading Company, so nice to see good old fashioned service.

After a fault developed with one of the…

After a fault developed with one of the products the customer service team arranged for a replacement. Although there was a delay in delivery of the replacement due to lack of stock, the team were really helpful and friendly.

Incredible Service

We received incredible service from GLTC, they went above and beyond for us to ensure we received our daughter’s birthday present on time.
It’s rare these days to experience such a personal level of care with some companies so it was a joy!

I just wanted to write what a great…company

I just wanted to write what a great little company this is. We had an issue with our order which was sorted quickly with Sally. The delivery team were great and installed the bed very quickly. Excellent bed (Paddington Mid Sleeper) my granddaughter loves it. Thank you so very much .

Great value for money and good experience

The reviews had made us slightly apprehensive, but our experience has been excellent. The items were delivered quickly, and well packaged. We sent an email about a minor issue, which was replied to, and resolved, the same day.

The play kitchen and accessories are exceptionally good value for money, and our granddaughter is over the moon with the present. We'd happily buy from them again, and recommend them.

Appalling process, but good furniture

Appalling! I am so disappointed as the popular perception is that this is a good, reliable company.
In my experience my order took over 14 days and the payment was taken (I haven’t even received it yet!) and accurate communication was poor.
The delivery company XDP is dreadful. Notice of delivery was given on the same morning, which was not convenient, but personal plans were duly changed, only to find the delivery did not turn up.
Impossible to contact anyone directly to sort this out. Understandably I have been left angry and frustrated having spent a lot of time and effort trying to sort out my order and currently having paid for goods I have not received.
UPDATE:
I received the goods and the furniture is of good quality, with clear instructions, reasonably easy to assemble and looks sturdy.

This company has become my favourite…

This company has become my favourite place to shop or search for inspiration, since having children. Their products are good quality and on the occasion there has been an issue (one with delivery and another with a damaged shelf), their customer service has been so helpful, prompt and easy to deal with.

Be careful when paying

Be careful - the website will take your money before giving you the chance to enter a discount code. Let's hope they refund item cost AND delivery charge following my email sent immediately after this somewhat unscrupulous trading method.
