A communication problem arose but was quickly resolved to everyone’s satisfaction
A problem arose over a possible change of ownership of solar panels which I raised with GE. The GE representative, Kein, was very helpful as the problem was just a communication error and was soon sorted very quickly. Fabulous customer service! Thanks Kein.

Good Energy always reply to email and phone enquiries. We have 5 electricity meters with Good Energy in our workplace and, each time I have contacted them, I have always received a reply within 24 hours and my problem has been solved. Hannah is my usual email contact and she is wonderful and very helpful.

CHECK WHICH'S REVIEW BEFORE SWITCHING.
AVOID. Switched solar PV to them in September last year and still not been paid for our generation. Keep blaming British Gas and every time I go back to British Gas they say they have done everything from their side.
British Gas have even said that our solar PV since September last year is on The national database (ECOES) also confirms that Good Energy took over the supply for our SEG tariff on 26/09/2025 - it's pretty clear.
WHICH rate them very poor when it comes to switching, wish I had read this before embarking on this time consuming exercise. Just want our money now and move on!

Outstanding customer service
The quality of customer service and general competence of the retail energy sector in the UK is frankly, abysmal. I have experience with 7 different suppliers from “Big 6” to tiny companies which went bust. I have had major problems with all of them.
However, Good Energy’s customer service is second to none. I won’t pretend nothing has gone wrong—my set up is complicated and there have been teething issues, many of them the result of previous companies errors. GE also seem to struggle with automated SEG payments. However, *crucially*, they really seem to invest in good customer service and it’s always possible to speak to an actual human in the UK who will do their best to resolve your problem, which is all you can ask for. This should be a baseline, but sadly in current market it’s very much an exception.
Reducing to 4 stars because it looks like they are using AI to respond to customers here and I hope that’s not the shape of things to come.

Honest feedback
Jonny himself was very helpful , however some of the other good energy team not so good. Often waiting long periods of time to reply emails. Subsequently my account was put on hold, very frustrating as I won’t receive payment on time and clearly not necessary as Jonny put everything right in a matter of minutes
Need more people like Jonny !

Sometimes my energy bill is generated mid month. Today I requested a bill to the end of April via email. The response was so quick - less than 5 mins. This is top quality customer service.

Excellent service today dealing with an issue. The good energy app appears simple and effective but regularly throws up issues with the meter verification process.
I was very impressed to receive a swift response on a Saturday from a service agent called Gifty who has helped me with this verification process straight away.
