Go Outdoors is my go-to for anything I need for hiking or running. They have a very good selection of brands, styles, and sizes. I have always found the staff very willing to help! Millie served me today, and she was very helpful in answering all my questions and being very patient. Thank you.

Always a pleasant experience with polite and helpful staff. Ella was a credit to the company, a bright smile and caring attitude go a long way. As always walked out with plenty of bargains.

Xaina went over and above, really helpful. Even went out of her way to find me in the store when we thought the last pair of boots had been sold. Thanks to xaina I spent a few hundred pound in the store, she is an asset to go outdoors team.

My son wanted a fishing rod to go down the canal with his mates. We came to Go Outdoors and Andy came to our rescue to help us. With my son being a complete beginner, Andy advised which rod and reel to go for. He was very friendly and made us feel at ease. No doubt we will be back for more advise in the future!!

Ella at the Derby store served me today and was extremely helpful, noticing that the shoes were different sizes! She dealt with it quickly and professionally and I would recommend her without hesitation, Keith Butler

Andy in the fishing department was fantastic. My teenage son recently got into fishing with his friends and was after a few bits to get him started. Myself and his dad have never fished and so completely in the dark about what he’d need. Andy listened to our incessant questions, gave suggestions and even demonstrated how to get the pole set up. He was honest about what wouldn’t be useful nor necessary given budget and also as this is a new hobby. Excellent service, we’ll definitely be back!

Courtney B was really helpful when I was looking for new walking boots and was a bit wary as I have plantar Fasciitis- she assisted when i went on the gait machine Showing the type of arch I have ( high) and it showed I had narrow feet she suggested makes and I bought Solomon - she did not rush us and went out of her way to make sure I had made the correct choice

Had an issue with my membership using the online service and so had to go into store to try and rectify the problem, however this was not possible in store and so Kat advised me to give customer services a call, I explained there was no option for membership issues. Kat as always being super efficient advised me of the phone process, which I followed
And got the issue resolved. The staff at Derby are an excellent team and are always so helpful and courteous, especially the very young ones who have served me
Previously. I’m not sure if Kat is the manager but whoever selects potential employees, they have a knack for selecting the right candidates. Top Marks Derby Team. I also visited the Tunbridge Wells shop a couple of weeks ago and a young man called Caden was extremely helpful and patient with my choosing new walking boots. *****

Yesterday (30/04/26) we were served by Liam (his first day) and the lovely Kat. We use Go Outdoors for much of our Hiking Gear and the staff here are always friendly, say hello (but aren't in your face), are very knowledgeable and always willing to help.
Liam and Kat were really helpful at the checkout and never rushed us as we were trying to use Klarna! As Kat very calmy, confidently guided Liam (and us) through what to do, she remained friendly and told us how much she enjoyed her job.
Thank you both for putting a smile on our faces and we would like to wish Liam a long and successful time at Go Outdoors Derby.
