GO Outdoors - Preston Avis 

Jack and Hope gave us great advice and support in equipping for a forthcoming expedition to a Munro in Scotland. We'd strongly recommend the shop.

Alfie and mark from the Preston store helped us out massively we needed gas for the caravan and wasn’t long until they closed but still helped us. Both lovely polite and nothing was to much bother really appreciate there help thanks again

Firstly the shop is so well laid out. I get all my clothes from here including everything I need for long hikes and camping. Some really good value as a member.
Sara at the till was a breath of fresh air and very helpful.
If every shop had a Sara, they would surely do good business.

Great shop, with good stock and very knowledgable staff. Ordered online for collection in store. The order had not processed correctly but has been delivered. One of the staff (Calvin) assisted sorting the issue out, finding my item, processing it on the system and ensuring everything about my experience just went well! Thank you very much!

I received exceptional customer service at the Preston Deepdale branch.
I had specific needs when looking for a replacement walking shoes due to a damaged foot.
I explained my issue and the customer service agent in the boots & shoes department began to advise me and seek to obtain the best fit possible.
I tried on over a dozen different sizes and brands of footwear, all while other customers were also enquiring of him for their own needs.
Not once did he fail to deal with me, or any other customer, in a timely, helpful & pleasant manner. To personally experience, and also watch & hear him go about his profession was truly uplifting.
Ultimately I was able to find the correct brand and size fitment for my needs, but not in the model of show I preferred.
He then directed me to the Go Outdoors website, having first checked availability for me, so I was able to buy exactly what I needed and wanted later that day.
Faultless customer service and assistance.

Yet again I found just what I needed in Go Outdoors, and thanks to superb help and advice from Shane, I was able to purchase the best pair of boots I've ever had in over 60 years of trekking in Britain and Europe. Shane was confident that with care the boots will last up to 10 years. They'll probably see me out, but I'll always be back into this great store for other equipment as will my family. Many thanks again to Shane, it was great talking to him.

Went in store to buy daughter boots for D of E. Excellent one to one service given by Shane. Not rushed. Very knowledgeable.

Called in to pick up various bits for a ski trip and D of E trip for my boys. Got everything I needed and was served by Alfie at the till. Really helpful young lad and could actually talk confidently rather than grunt like most of the service interactions recently.

Went in wanting to take some walking boots back as they had split, and less than 12 months old.
Initially the lady behind the desk said it was wear and tear (without even looking at them or viewing my receipt). She called a supervisor over, where he wasn’t for doing anything about it and didn’t even read the email receipt properly. Then said I could have an exchange. Fairly off hand man (bald head and glasses), so didn’t offer great customer service.
It’s a large store, but not a vast selection of walking boots. The store manager (Mark / Marc), was really helpful…helped explain the type of boots and advised against buying a particular pair which didn’t suit my needs.
My overall experience would have been 1 star but for the Manager.

Fantastic selection, Amber was very helpful and friendly. Preston is a good location with ample parking.

Been to this store recently looking at leather hiking boots and wasn’t impressed with service from young assistants who kept disappearing.
Went again today-a busy Sunday-and was extremely impressed with young assistant this time called Olly. I explained what I wanted. His knowledge was exceptional giving me confidence back and offered to bring various boots. He wasn’t pushy at all. The ones I decided on were only in stock wrong size but I will be back to see Olly. Thank you

Comprehensive range and lots of choice.
Got exactly what I wanted W/ proof top and matching bottoms. Gilet and waterproofing spray for canvas shoes.
Staff helpful and smart. Great attitudes towards customers.

Popped in to buy new clothes store had a great range to choose from success 😊. Amber served me with a very pleasant and warm personality. All round a good experience.

Popped into the store today to purchase a pair of hiking boots. I was served by Jack and I can honestly say I was astounded by the depth of his knowledge. He took a great deal of care to ensure I went away with exactly the right boots, the right socks and even showed me how to tie them to make sure my heel doesn’t slip out, and explain how I would know when it was time to apply some wax to my boots! I feel very confident in my investment today and I was extremely grateful for Jack’s attentiveness and help making this purchase. Thank you so much.
