Great Western Camping is a specialist Outdoor and Ski retailer. We stock an extensive range of clothing and equipment for walkers, skiers and climbers. Our brands include Patagonia, Salomon, Rab, Scott, Head, DMM, Petzl Dolomite and Salewa. We are a family run, independent retailer and pride ourselves in good customer service. Our shop in Dorchester was established in 1986 and has twice been a winner of the Outdoor Industry Association’s outdoor retailer of the year award.

I will buy all my boots there
Had an issue with some KEEN boots and they resolved for a refunded. Then arranged a discount for a newer model.
Love them and highly recommend. Will buy all my boots there.

Really helpful knowledgeable staff. No pressure sales approach just great service. Comparable prices with best offers online but chance to try on makes all the difference.

a fantastic range of outdoor clothes…
a fantastic range of outdoor clothes and boots. We were on holiday, tried on some amazing walking boots but the ones I really liked, I needed in a half size. Billy was so helpful and ordered me a pair and had them sent to my home address in London. Arrived yesterday and I love them! Keens walking boots. Great Western Camping, brilliant independent shop. We need more like this!
