After a slow start

After a slow start, Hammock Barn answered all my questions and a week after ordering the Hammock arrived.

I’m afraid it hasn’t arrived

I’m afraid it hasn’t arrived. I emailed to ask what delivery company you used but you haven’t replied. I have asked neighbours but nothing. I did get a message from evri saying rate delivery but I have quite a few deliveries. Evri give you no options to talk to anyone or no option saying parcel not arrived send me pic of where left? So I’m no further forward yet. I have an extraordinary busy week and finding it hard to find the time to chase it up. Sadly delivery companies isn’t a quick call anymore. It’s a quagmire of ineffective circular AI. Well it’s not even intelligent enough to call it that.

Has not arrived

I placed an order nearly a month ago (10th June) and have received nothing, no delivery updates, and I’ve emailed two different addresses several times and received no response. I’ll be contacting the bank for a charge back request - admin I don’t really have time for but I’ve no choice!

The colours run and transfer

The material is soft as described and the hammock is well constructed. The carry case is great and the overall quality feels good. The criticism is the dye is not set in the fabric. Any moisture or splash of liquid immediately runs the colour. So if you get hot and sweat, you can see it, any drops of water are immediately visible and permanent, even after drying. It’s a shame because after a single use it looks very weather beaten. Would be fine for a value product, not one priced as a premium one.

John at hammockbarn could not be more helpful. I
I have no complaints about the hammock or his company but the whole experience was tainted by the appalling courier service. APC delivery service ‘lost’ the first hammock. John reorganised a new delivery really quickly with DHL. However the driver couldn’t find our house. I asked the depot to make sure the next driver had our phone number so I could give directions to a house that every other courier service finds. I stayed in all day waiting. The hammock ended up back at the depot for a second time. I let the customer service team know how unhappy I was. I will now collect the item myself. This maybe an unfortunate one off but I will not recommend either of the delivery services...John did all he could and I really appreciated his attempts to sort the problem which the couriers caused.

The Hammock Barn were brilliant when I was seriously let down by another company when I ordered a swing seat from them for my Mum’s birthday.
John checked the item was in stock and even gave me a promo code for a 20% discount. He then kept me fully informed when the item was dispatched. He tracked it for me and emailed me to let me know it would be delivered on time. The service was excellent. Thank you for taking such good care. Mum loved the swing seat too.

Perfect experience with Hammock Barn from choice on website to customer service and very fast delivery. Love our new hammock, which I'm not leaving till September. A great company with a personal touch. Recommended.
