Finding the right place to live isn’t easy, especially when accessibility and comfort really matter. Happipad made that process feel human instead of overwhelming.

The platform helped me narrow down options that actually fit my needs, not just what was available. The listings were clear, the filters were meaningful, and I didn’t waste time chasing places that weren’t right for me. Everything felt transparent and well thought out.

What really made a difference was the support. Any time I had a question, the Happipad team responded quickly and clearly. It felt reassuring to know there were real people behind the platform who actually cared about helping.

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED

I am extremely disappointed with Happipad’s services. Their customer service is very poor—responses are slow, unhelpful, and often feel dismissive rather than supportive. When issues arise, there is little to no real assistance, which is frustrating for both hosts and renters who rely on this platform.
On top of that, the website itself does not function properly. Pages load incorrectly, features don’t work as expected, and the overall user experience is unreliable. For a platform that claims to connect people with housing opportunities, this level of technical issues is unacceptable.
It also makes me question whether many of Happipad’s former partners are still working with them. If partnerships have ended, it would not be surprising, given the lack of quality service and support. A platform like this should be helping its partners grow and succeed by properly supporting hosts and renters—not creating more problems for them.
Overall, Happipad needs major improvements in customer service, website reliability, and how they support their partners. At this point, I cannot recommend this platform.

I was not able to complete verification…

I was not able to complete verification initially because I didn't have the required documentation on my computer. When I came back to it numerous attempts failed. Eventually I had partial success, but then the link expired and I was locked out. Get a "new link"it said. What does that mean and how do I do that? Getting nowhere fast!

Great Service

Happipad helps me find a suitable renter for my private bedroom. If it is your first time being a landlord, I can recommend using the Happipad service. They have friendly customer service.

Does not comply with unsubscribing instructions

I have given explicit instructions to not receive any more messages through both text and email. I have also directly emailed their customer service email address. It is clear they just automate messages when they say “reply STOP to not receive anymore messages” I text STOP and they still reply a few days later. Or I straight up reply to their email saying to not bother since I have put them in the spam filter but they still continue to message. I’m sure they will respond to this saying it is untrue. To anyone wishing to end communication just block them on both avenues and move on. Just wanted to point out the noncompliance publicly.

Our communication system is designed to honor STOP messages immediately by placing numbers on a Do-Not-Send (DNS) list. Based on our investigation, it appears that despite your unsubscribe request, an automated follow-up message was still triggered — something that should not occur once a number is flagged for DNS.

We take this seriously and are already working with our telecommunications provider to ensure your number is fully blocked at the network level and to prevent any recurrence of this issue. While our intention is never to disregard opt-out requests, this incident highlights a rare system-level inconsistency that we are now correcting.

I’ve had the worst experience signing up with Happipad!…

I’ve had the worst experience signing up with Happipad! They continually call me and harass me on a weekly basis even though I blocked them. I did not go through with the membership because they wanted to know my yearly income. None of their business! Their calls go to my voicemail and they will not leave me alone! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

In response to their reply, I DID NOT say there were fees! when you register online you do become a part of their community! I never once reached out to them to ask anything. They took it upon themselves to contact me because i did not go through with the registration process. A Filipino representative has been calling me non stop for months. Never once did I pick up the phone! Why continue harassing me? I blocked them!

And they want ME to contact them to stop harassing me??

People have the option to opt out of any agency online without the need for harassment. Be careful giving out your phone number to these people. One more call and I will report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner!

Thank you for your feedback. However, we would like to clarify some inaccuracies in your review.

First, our service does not require a membership, nor do we charge any fees for signing up. Your claim that you "canceled a membership" is incorrect, as no such membership exists.

Second, we do not harass users. We obtained your phone number because you voluntarily registered on our platform. Our follow-up messages were simply to assist you with the registration process, ensuring you had the necessary information to complete it. At no point did we receive any communication from you requesting that we stop contacting you.

We respect user preferences, and had you informed us that you did not wish to be contacted, we would have immediately honored your request. That said, we have now added your contact details to our Do Not Call list to prevent further communication.

Lastly, our platform is designed to help hosts find renters and renters find a home—we do not operate on a membership model. Our goal is to support both parties in making informed housing decisions.

If you have any further concerns, we encourage open communication and would be happy to address them directly.

As an international student

As an international student, finding housing was challenging, but the Happipad team made my life so much easier. I faced a lot of discrimination when trying to find rental on Facebook, but renting through Happipad's program I felt equal to every Canadian and did not feel the same discrimination. The family who hosted me welcomed me in their home happily, and I felt like a part of their home from day one. I had some issues paying rent with my international banking but Happipad was able to help me with that also. I encourage any student to try.

Happipad has been a fantastic

Happipad has been a fantastic experience for me as a single mother. I am very cautious about who I invite into my home, but Happipad made the process so easy with the background check and renter interviews. I welcomed a PHD student into our home from India, and it turned out to be a wonderful decision. The student has been incredibly respectful and has brought a fresh perspective to our household. We've enjoyed many insightful conversations, and it's positively influenced my child's life. Happipad truly helped us find the right fit, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

I’m delighted with my experience using

I’m delighted with my experience using Happipad! As an older adult, I was looking for a reliable tenant who would be respectful and also willing to contribute around the house. Happipad helped me find just that. My new tenant is not only trustworthy but also helps with some chores, which has been a huge relief. Happipad helped me determine a fair rent with a reduction for the extra help my tenant does. Signing up and renting my space was straightforward, and I feel like I've gained a friend rather than just a tenant. Highly recommend it for anyone in a similar situation.

I had an excellent experience with Happipad

I had an excellent experience using this online platform as an international student renting a room for nine months. The platform matched me with a fantastic host, allowing me to immerse myself in the local culture and have a truly enjoyable time. The matching process was impressive, considering my preferences for bedtime, wake-up time, food, and language. The most important aspect for me was the police verification, ensuring my safety. Great concept

The platform has improved its user experience and ID verification process. There's still room to grow in terms of popularity. I ended up finding a roommate through another platform, probably because Happipad isn't as well-known yet in Toronto
