Homebase - Altrincham Avis 

Sally was lovely and so helpful! A wonderful experience buying our paint this evening and Sally was excellent she went above and beyond to help us!

Really easy process. I think the member of staffs name was sally on c&c. Extremely friendly, professional and provided a great over all service & experience.

The team member that helped me with my order went above and beyond when helping me load my purchase into my car as it wouldn’t fit. I live miles away so couldn’t return for it. We unboxed it and managed to just about squeeze it in. Thank you so much. I wish I’d got his name

Had really good service from a young lad in the garden section of the store this am. Didn’t have to ask volunteered it and couldn’t do enough to help.

When I visited the store the previous day my experience was great, but today I was in a queue and the young guy serving just upped and moved to the till next to him, I thought this was a temporary issue and he'd hop straight back to serve me but no, he stayed there and started to serve people who had come well after me. I was with my 5 year old daughter so didn't want to make a scene but I was really appaled by the blatant disregard to me queing up. He never even acknowledged what he'd done, very poor customer service on his part and I only wish I saw his name. I had a heavy trolley with 36kg of bits and couldn't just move quickly and he gave no indication what he was doing. When I realised I'd have to move to another till the lady who served me called Tracy was very nice, but didn't notice what had happened. I came away thinking customers aren't very valued and won't be inclined to shop there again unless I really have to, I'll go further afield or shop online in future.

Some items were not available even though the site showed there was stock.

Everything was fine and the staff helped me to load it so many thanks

Unfortunately the store did not have enough of the Homebase top soil I ordered, the staff made up the order with more expensive Westland top soil at no extra cost.

Customer service skills shown by check out staff were none existent. They'd scanned the 3 tins of paint before I'd finished putting them down and told me the price to pay. They hadn't uttered a response to my initial welcome to them of "Hi" and from a Homebase POV if i hadn't said to them "Oh I've got these as well" referring to two items that I was also clearly holding in my hand, I guess I could have just walked out with them having not paid, which I would not have done, but it further highlights the total and utter lack of interest in me their customer. There was no queue and they were far from busy as there had been no other customers before me at the till. This isn't unique to this store, but please, a simple "Hi" or "How are you today" or even just a smile or actually look your customer in the eye goes a long way.

This is a shout out to Sally at Altrincham store who did go extra mile to help me to find the correct product ( a specific colour of paint) and applied special discount. Thank you👍🏼

Brady at the Altrincham branch is an exceptional and helpful member of staff. He goes out of his way to help the customers.

He helped me locate a certain paint and order it into the shop. He could have just said its ‘out of stock’ but he went the extra mile to get it for me. Thank you Brady.

Click and collect on 2 tins of farrow & ball one of which had been opened and poured out. Tried telling me paint had been spilled onto it even after opening and seeing dried pooled paint on inside. Took 20 mins to persuade her this wasn’t my problem and needed alternative tin. Then had to drive 30mins away to re-collect tin from different store. Utter rubbish! Edited to say only resolved because I pushed for it! Wanted me to take a used tin! I have pictures. Took me 20 mins just to sort it out then a further 25 mins driving to get another tin. NOT resolved at THIS store as to the reply! Proves further Joke! No wonder stores are closing
