Homebase - Belfast Avis 

John from the gardening department was so kind and helpful to help me the car and wouldn't let me even help him load the flooring into the car he insisted on doing it himself. So nice and friendly. Wonderful employee

When visiting a different store (Galwally) looking for a new kitchen, the woman designing the kitchens seemed annoyed at our presance and made it clear she wasn't interested in helping us. We decided to leave and go elsewhere. However, this initially negative experience was turned into a great experience by two employees, Michael and Peter at Homebase Boucher road. Peter made time for us immediately and his experience, friendlyness and professionalism made it an easy decision to go ahead with buying our kitchen from him. Price was great and he helped us find a great kitchen that fitted our needs and budget.

When buying floor we were amazed by Michaels customer service as he took his time, provided great advice and called around checking stock at other stores so that we could get the tiles we wanted. He even offered to pick up the tiles from the other store on his was to work the following day, saying it was on his way anyways. He even brought our flooring to the car and helped us load it. Michael really went out of his way and was a complete gentleman. Fair to say this experience has made us more keen to visit homebase for future purchases.

Very informative, took his time to explain my plants 🪴 needs at certain times of the year . He wants plant photos the next time I come in and give me advice .

I bought a tin of orange labelled reduced paint in your Boucher Road Belfast store to find when I got it home it wasn’t the colour on the outside of the tin £15 I paid for it I took it to your Galwally Belfast store and told I’d have to take it back to Boucher Rd store where I bought it which is still a few miles away I did this then told there was no refunds on orange labelled tins I really wanted a credit note but I was refused! I had intended to buy more paint there was no notice on show near any of the reduced paint and won’t be buying any paint from any of your stores again Severe lack of signage and customer service

In the Boucher Road store in Belfast Freya is the most knowledgeable and helpful member of staff in any DIY store I've been in. I showed her a video of a kitchen and she suggested two colours of green which she mixed. I thought the lighter was a match but it was actually the darker one which is what she suggested. Her alone will make me return to this store. Wish there were more staff like her.

I asked for some help today with indoor plants. Got great advice and customer service from John. It was a pleasure to speak with someone who was knowledgeable and pleasant.

Ease of ordering process, but most of all, the friendliness and helpfulness of the two staff members I encountered. Both excellent.

John the gardener was more than helpful. He shown me the correct products to purchase and I will be back shopping in Homebase he really impressed me.

Visited the store recently to buy some plants. While we were there we asked Michael in the garden department if they would be interested in donating some old materials to our local community garden. When we came back today to collect them we were delighted to find out he had added a few extras too. John went out of his way (twice!) to help us load up the van, an absolute gent. Couldn't meet a nicer couple of guys, a credit to the store. They both deserve a raise! Thank you John and Michael!

Visited the store today to gather supplies for Easter weekend decorating. Freya was so helpful and knowledgeable about design and colour matching.
Really pleased I choose Homebase and will be returning for my next decorating project.

I would recommend anyone to Homebase, i needed information about a product and a qquery about it fitting into the car. Michael, the assistant, not only gave me info but went out of his way to show me the item flatpacked and assured me it would fit into my car, not only tjat but he took it out and put it in the car for me!

On a very wet & windy day in your Home base garden centre John offered & provided excellent customer service. He saw me struggling with your wonky shop trolley & offered to help . He lifted compost & plant pot into the trolley, wheeled it through the shop to allow me to pay and then he put it into my car. I would have been unable to do this without his help and was very thankful. He is an asset to your company and deserves recognition by Homebase management.

Boucher Road store, staff members John (who helped us load the car with large plants) and Freya who arranged for John to help us. These two staff members are excellent, quite exceptionally helpful , pleasant and a credit to your store. I will visit your store again because of the service they gave, quite different from other retailers visited on the same day.

Was in Homebase getting paint. As a first time painter I didn’t know what I was at. A young girl Freya was really kind and helpful, she was able to answer all my questions. Will definitely be back!

We have great help from John. He helped us with paving slabs right out to car couldn't ask for better help.
