Homebase - Chester Avis 

Very helpful

Ordered on line in the evening and picked next day no issues.

Rude member of staff, not helpful at all, no interest in what I was saying to her, no manners and downright miserable, I won’t be going to this branch again which is a shame as I do need more items from there but I’d rather travel a longer distance than deal with her again

I had a 2step ladder which I was please with It’s a very sturdy a bit heavy but I don’t like the light ones I don’t feel safe on them that’s why I like this one I feel really safe on it

You don’t get good service like this any more. Wanted to buy a garden furniture unit. A number of issues cropped up and the store staff all came up with ideas to help and to solve problems. It ended up with 2 ladies emptying the box to get all the parts into our car. You can’t buy the great attitude of the staff involved a credit to Homebase.

A struggle to get it into my car with the back seats down but managed it over two trips. Julie in the Chester store was extremely helpful in assisting me, going above and beyond what you frequently experience when purchasing bulk deliveries. It’s a pity more customer service people are not like she was.

Exceedingly quick delivery. Arrived well packaged and very helpful delivery driver.

Easy to order on line, prompt delivery to store and very pleased with sale items purchased.

Apart from customers name and order number being wrong the paint was the correct one.

Chester store - the man at the click & collect desk couldn't was very polite and helpful, thank you (although the lady who helped me load the pot into my car, who did not work for Homebase, should teceive a special thank you and a job at the store!)

The web site was so easy to orders earlier r items and didn't take long for the items to be delivered

Purchased a BBQ on click & Collect and the nearest stock was 40 miles away the item was a good price so I thought it was worth the trip. Picked the item up which was an easy process and a nice guy at the desk. Got home and the BBQ is damaged and has a large dent in the metal hood. Obviously someone knew about this because on close inspection the box had been opened before and re sealed with tape. Called the store number in Chester and spoke to a most unhelpful woman who sounded like she couldn’t care less !! Told me she couldn’t reorder a replacement so that I could bring it back and collect at the same time. I would have to make the trip twice. No wonder these stores are all going bust - hopefully they’ll all be gone soon as they’ve lost interest. I’ve always avoided buying things online and tried to support retailers but with poor service like this it’s no surprise. I’ve reordered online from another company and I’ll take the damaged BBQ back to a closer Homebase.

I have recently purchased a new kitchen and i am absolutely delighted with it very good quality. I didnt have to wait long for my delivery
I was informed by the people who installed my kitchen that it is well made good quality and so easy to install .I would recommend Homebase to all my friends .I have also purchased many items and i am pleased with them all.Iwould like to thank the staff who was very helpful in the chester store .

Went into the Chester store to see the laminate we were interested in purchasing online. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any. The assistant did look online and found store stock in Upton. However, when asked if he would phone the store for us to check whether we could purchase over the phone, as we were already 30 miles from home, he refused. On the plus side, he did get the phone number for us, but most stores would have checked. The Upton store couldn’t deliver outside the local area and we would have needed to pay in-store anyway, so no go. As Homebase are out of stock online, they have now lost the sale.

When I collected my parcel the women helped me lift the items into the car and was very polite and cheerful

Home base chester sealand road went for paint for large building . Julie was amazing and we ended up buying different paint on her advice . So very helpful and knowledgeable which makes a huge change . Highly recommend Julie for all things paint 🎨 10/10 customer service above and beyond
