Homebase - Frome Avis 

Was browsing in Homebase Frome for kitchen ideas. Was impressed by their displays and went over to have a quick chat with Neil, who was extremely helpful, no pressure, and gave me a brochure to take away with contact details. Months later after looking in numerous kitchen places I decided to go with Homebase. We already have our first kitchen from there, which has lasted 20 years. Neil came to Bath, measured up, designed and changed my ideas many times patiently! Very knowledgeable with plenty of experience in kitchen design. I cannot comment on my new kitchen as it’s on order at the moment, but the experience so far has been faultless, from arriving at my home on time to measure up and plan, to keeping me regularly updated. 10/10 so far!

I went into the store on yesterday and bought two blinds although I needed three for a bay window. The person I asked if there were more was disinterested and there was no one on customer services. I went home and ordered the third one online and collected it in store today. Ideally, I wouldn’t have had to make two trips to get the items they had in stock.

I like the blinds, lovely colour. Measuring instructions could be better, e.g to measure the width and add on the depth of the brackets - instructions could’ve said the amount to be added but you do need to bear this in mind in order to calculate the overall width. The brackets are flimsy but seem to work ok.

Excellent service from Peter yet again highly recommend always get what I need and colour matches are really good 👍

Very helpful staff member on the paint mix section (Peter), who took the time to understand and check what I wanted and also provided paint in more manageable weights and sizes of tin. Great customer service and so I will continue to come here for my decorating supplies.

Drove 40 miles to collect my order as this was nearest Homebase with the number of items I needed - discovered that store had put the wrong items for collection ( smaller sized pots) asked for correct size only to discover store had since sold one of the items I needed and therefore only had three - had to accept as they were needed for specific project and I will now have to find another store with stock to complete my job - did get refunded for pot you no longer had but rubs salt in the wound when the email says thank you for returning your item which I never received in the first place !!

I'm so upset with the bathroom design that was done for me at Homebase. I specifically requested a non-slip shower tray and was told there were non available. I've now seen on-line that the RAK series of shower trays come with a non-slip finish. Cheers Homebase. Could you not actually train your kitchen/bathroom designers?

Warm welcome and the store looks well organised. Greeted by Darren who help swap my box for a bigger box with no problems.

Peter helped me and was Extremely helpful and great at solving problems I had with getting the right paint.

Neil was fantastic from initial conversation through to purchasing our kitchen. Very approachable, not pushy in the slightest, and designed the perfect kitchen for us, utilising the space perfectly! Thank you!

Pete the paint mixing man provided A* service, he couldn’t do enough to help us despite my rather challenging request to try and paint match from Pinterest ! I felt very comfortable that I knew I could go back if plan AB & C didn’t work !
