Homebase - Gateshead Avis 

Excellent service from Ingrid on Dulux desk helped us obtain best deal - really friendly as was Susan on check out. A pleasure to visit well done

I called into this store to buy some Farrow &Ball paint however the colour i wanted was not on the shelf. The very kind assistant Susan was incredibly helpful. She went searching for ladders to look higher up on the top of the shelves then went through each and every tin checking, and also asked a co-worker to check in the storeroom. Despite taking so much of her time she was cheerful and genuinly sorry that she couldn't find it and offered to order the product for me. She went above and beyond to help me...all with a smile which makes a huge difference.

Fast and friendly

Had an absolute nightmare. Delivery hasn’t turned up on the delivery date I paid for, then didn’t arrive the next day after waiting in. Tried speaking to yodel who have my item and they don’t care. Spoke to Homebase and they also don’t care.

My advice would be to avoid buying anything online, once they have your money you’re left waiting to see if your item will arrive with zero customer support.

Have visited the Gateshead store several times over the last couple of weeks as have been decorating. Ended up being served three times by the same member of staff, Robson, on the shop floor and at the tills. A true Gent!

All staff at Team Valley Gateshead store always helpful and I have shopped there for many years. On 27/8/24 I was helped by two male members of staff trying to buy a small sideboard and a toilet seat. Both men were very helpful. On 28/8/24 I had difficulty ordering the sideboard on line. I phoned the store and spoke to Pam who took the time to solve my problem then arranged for me to meet her at click and collect with a trolley - then took it and put it in my car. Much appreciated by myself as an OAP 😁
