Fantastic customer service given at the Brighouse branch!! Bought some Indian stone toppings and found 1 was delivered larger than the others. With no more in stock of the same size, Andy from the yard borrowed a still saw from HSS hire (who are in the same building) and spent a lot of time cutting and chipping away at the topping to get it the right size. Hat’s off to Andy for saving me the hassle of having to start again re-bedding new toppings.

Just received our delivery from the Bury depot by Mick, what a gentleman, friendly, helpful, considerate a credit to the company. Cannot fault the whole experience from ordering to delivery, thank you.

Item was fine. There was damage to my front entrance from where the legs of the lorry was. Driver took pictures and said someone would be in touch. Two weeks alterations nothing and I have called few times. I called yesterday and was told the manager would call me right away. Still nothing. Highly disappointed.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Gill from the Northwich Branch of Howarth on the design of our new bathroom. She was an expert in what is available in the marketplace from many suppliers and guided with a lot of patience into making a decision about the items that our bathroom fitter would install. Gill took up a new position on Chester before delivery when Molly took over to see the delivery and helped the fitter resolve any issues we had. Timber ordered online to complete fencing project. Website easy to use. Telephone call from branch to arrange delivery date. Goods arrived on time and with cheery delivery driver. Will use this firm again.

The trellis which was advertised on the internet was not in stock at my branch and the substitute item was inferior to the item on the internet

Ordered a 800kg bulk bag of golden gravel. The gravel was unwashed, wasn’t advertised in this way. The bag had litter in there (coffee cups). In future i suggest you advertise your gravel as unwashed as it’s a messy and time consuming job to clean it.
Cathy from the internal sales team should also work on her telephone manner. Very passive aggressive.

Very rude aggressive lorry driver this morning shouting and swearing at me in his cab in bury st Edmunds , Big bloke no hair! we don’t need people like this driving a lorry .
