Item delivered not in original box, clearly used and in poor condition. The item title on the site did not mention B Stock, the point where you add to basket. It is written 4 pages down, where if you know what you want you would not look as I didn't. I had no reason to think the item was not brand new. It turns out most of what they sell is B Stock which the should mention on their home page, not in the FAQs - this is not a FAQ when you visit a retailer.

Bought a Denon AVC-X6800X (B grade) from Hyperfi at a great price. I’m used to buying phones from ‘refurbished’ sellers but this was my first venture into buying expensive electronics this way. I have say the amplifier was pristine; yes the box and packaging weren’t pristine but everything was present and correct and the amplifier even had the fascia stickers on it! I did experience some delivery issues (NOT Hyperfi’s fault) and to their credit they kept me well informed and were very accommodating about making flexible arrangements. I will certainly be checking their stock next time I’m looking for Hi-Fi or home theatre equipment. Highly recommended

The one star reviews are correct, exactly the same thing has happened to me regarding a recently returned product the refund was not the full amount.They withheld the original postage cost.I would never use this company again. They don’t care about the customer.

Ordered a B&W Zeppelin for £300 - arrived in good time. Unit hasn't a mark on it and works perfectly - yes the box had been opened but it was clearly marked as B stock and was less than half list price. All accessories and manual included. Very happy indeed - great value and service.

Ok, they are a little slow to communicate, but have responded to a couple of questions - I just suspect they are a small operation is all.
I ordered a B Stock B&W ASW608 Sub at a great price. Delivery was expedited speedily, the sub was boxed as if it had come straight from the factory, and was in immaculate (unused) condition. It works perfectly. The little packet with the rubber feet and spikes in was opened, the only tell-tale sign that perhaps it was on display at some stage.
Excellent and fully intend to use again for some headphones and probably more.

Bought a CD player that was advertised as B stock.
Was a little unsure as to what condition it would be in but decided to go ahead.
The CD player arrived and was in perfect condition.
All the cables and remote control were there.
The CD player works fine and complements my HI FI brilliantly.
Would not hesitate to buy from Hyperfi again

I bought a B grade amplifier from Hyperfi but what was delivered was as good as new. Delivery was quick and costs were clear. Product was excellent value for money.
Unfortunately it was not quite right for my system and I needed to return it.
This proved easy and the refund was fast.
Fantastic customer service.

B-Stock at great prices, good communications and good service. Bought from them multiple times and will continue to.

I was in the market for a Marantz PM6007, I found the cheapest on eBay (Also Hyperfi) but then checked Google and I stumbled upon their website and it was cheaper there due to lack of eBay fees

I did read the reviews before the purchase and thought I'd gamble as I can just return it if not as described. A day or two later my B stock amp came through and it was on the verge of unopened, it even had the remote and batteries sealed still, it was in pristine condition and worked perfectly

So I'm really torn on recommending them or not as I felt like I was gambling through them and got lucky

Hyperfi, just sort your shit out, take actual photos of your stock if possible, go into detail with your gradings per listing, and make sure your service/after sales is as good as possible

Their website is clean, their prices are good but it's just the gamble of "Will I be a 1 star, or 5 star review"

They've got a good thing going they just aren't dedicated to being the best, seems a shame

Exercise extreme caution when buying products from Hyperfi. I bought a Denon CD player which I naturally assumed was new. When it arrived it displayed obvious signs of use. After complaining to Hyperfi, I was told that my CD player was B stock. Unfortunately, there was no indication on the web page where the "add to cart" was displayed, it was at the end of a separate page, easily missed. That sort of important detail should be displayed next to the price, before the "add to cart" button, not after.

B grade stock lottery. Occasionally you'll get one of the decent ones, occasionally you'll get a lemon. In my case I received a denon speaker that was rattling about loose inside inadequate packaging and which was literally oozing with the smell and feel of being used by a heavy smoker. Not appropriate to stick in my kid's bedroom.

Having charged me £16 for postage (literally the most expensive option!) and then repeatedly avoiding addressing my request for them to send a return shipment option, I then stumped up more money to post the item back. Though I got a refund of the product purchase price no refund of the postage was forthcoming and no response from any messages now so I'm £22 out of pocket for nothing.

Best hope you get a good one, because if you get a bad one you'll simply be out of pocket.

It seems it's up to the consumer to perform QA on hyperfi products, in your own home, and at your own cost.

Beware.

Hyperfi never gave me a name of an individual, emails were always responded to anonymously. They know what happened here and why I'm annoyed about it.

Just bought a budget turntable for around £30 cheaper than I've seen elsewhere. The sound quality is great and the product looks like new. I called enquiring about stock previously and was helpfully informed when they would come in. I couldn't work out how to do one of the setup-steps so called again and was helpfully talked through it. Would recommend, and helpful and accessible advice is a big bonus

purchased a B graded amp from this co. Went faulty after 4 months of ownership. Called and left voicemails. Nothing. Emailed and nothing. Contact us on their web form and nothing. Raised a Paypal claim against faulty goods and guess what. Got an email straight away.
lesson learnt, no matter how much you think you'll save, a company is only as good as the after sales they provide. I will not buy anything from HyperFi again and will advise anyone else to buy from a reputable retailer who offer up to 6 year warranties.
UPDATE: Hyperfi flagged my review to Trust Pilot because I recommend buyers go to another high street retailer

Very easy transaction, promptly delivered and in first class condition (looked new to me). To be very honest, I was surprised that the device I purchased (Marantz NR1200) was "B Class). Will def be back. Thank you.

I bought the Marantz MCR612 which was described as B grade and £170 cheaper than the cheapest elsewhere. It arrived the following day and it looks like new. It was in the original box and packing, and, although this had been opened, everything looked completely untouched. I have now installed it and it all works perfectly. Great service.

I bought the Denon Ceol RCDN10. Product was sold as used but it looks brand new and at an excellent price. Very prompt response to enquiries, arrived very quickly, really well packaged. Overall a 5 star service.
