They take your money and can't be contacted
I booked an engineer to repair a dishwasher in a property I let out. I was told if he couldn't fix it I would get half my money back, he couldn't fix it but would email me a report within one hour.
A week later no email and when I try to contact them all the emails are sent from no reply email adresses which is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
Tried to contact them by phone and after typing in several numbers(options) was told nobody is available and cut me off. Webchat no useable, waiting in queue for 20 mins so far but nobody available!
DO NOT BUY ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS, (Indesit, Whirlpool, CHOOSE BOSCH INSTEAD!
Useless
Useless. Four times engineer has lied and said he could get no reply from our home even though we were in. Only one engineer has been and he said he needed to order a part and left. Our washing machine is leaking. Disgraceful service.
Mai più indesit ciao ciao
Cose che non sapevo e che ora so.
Lavatrice nuova, la sto ancora pagando a rate. Acquistata 6 mesi fa.
It is extremely disappointing to be…
It is extremely disappointing to be writing this, as I have used this service on many occasions in the past and generally had a positive experience.
I am a property manager, and one of our tenant’s washer dryers began displaying an H2O fault. We initially sent our plumber, who confirmed there was no issue with the water supply. We then contacted Indesit as the manufacturer, expecting an expert resolution. Unfortunately, this has not been the case.
An engineer attended approximately a week later and advised that the issue had been fixed. However, as soon as the machine was used, the same error reappeared. This pattern has continued over several weeks, involving multiple visits, repeated diagnoses, and parts being ordered. We are now two months on from the initial booking and still do not have a working machine.
Throughout this process, communication with the customer service team has been extremely frustrating. Staff appear restricted to scripted responses, repeatedly advising that the only option is to book another appointment several days away. There is no flexibility to prioritise urgent cases, and we have been told on multiple occasions that it is not possible to escalate the matter or speak to a supervisor or manager.
Most recently, I spoke with a representative named Niamh, whose supervisor, Andrew, was reportedly unavailable and would not come to the phone. I was also informed that this was handled through the Peterborough office. This lack of accessibility to senior staff is completely unacceptable.
As a result of this ongoing issue, we are now facing a situation where the tenant is threatening to withhold £3,600 in rent due to the lack of a functioning appliance. At the same time, the property owner is understandably reluctant to replace the machine, as it is only a couple of years old, and has already paid a significant amount for what was supposed to be a guaranteed repair.
In previous cases where repairs could not be completed, a partial refund was offered. In this instance, despite more than half a dozen callouts, not even this has been proposed. Given the time, inconvenience, and financial impact involved, a partial refund would not be sufficient in any case.
The most concerning aspect is the complete lack of escalation options and accountability. As a result, we are now left with no choice but to pursue this matter further through Trading Standards.
This experience has been extremely disappointing, particularly as we have used this service many times before and regularly install Indesit Group appliances.
Indesit has appalling customer service…
Indesit has appalling customer service and has zero care or regard for customer safety and welfare.
We have an 11 month old double oven, whilst the bottom oven was in use, the glass on the top oven (which was off at the time) shattered and exploded glass all over my kitchen! By the grace of god no one suffered any significant harm.
I phoned Indesit and asked for a new oven as I no longer felt the oven was safe to use, and was not happy just for the oven door to be replaced.
Indesit clearly did not deem this matter to be serious and did not deem that my family’s safety to be of any importance or that there may be a fault with the oven, which may warrant a safety investigation. As the engineer they sent out after a week of waiting brought an oven door only and the wrong oven door for that matter, performed no safety inspections and left our property after 2 minutes.
I again called Indesit who refused to allow me to discuss my concerns with a manager, at first refused to offer any solution rather than a new oven door, as no one was hurt, and said that the oven didn’t pose a safety risk, despite the fact glass was found on every surface of my kitchen. Apparently the extended warranty we pay for doesn’t cover this either!
After a long frustrating conversation(not with a manager or someone senior) they have agreed to complete a safety check on my oven. I do not think it’s unreasonable to ask for an inspection to take place on an 11 month old oven, to reassure us that our oven is fit for purpose and isn’t going to explode glass for a second time (apparently would replace the oven if it happened twice)
I will be raising a formal complaint, as I have serious concerns about how seriously this company takes customer and public safety.
Extremely poor experience with Indesit…
Extremely poor experience with Indesit customer service. Our tumble dryer is less than 9 months old and has already developed a fault. I contacted Indesit for support and have now sent three emails over the past four weeks, yet I have not received a single response or even an acknowledgement.
Because of the lack of any support, I’ve now had to diagnose and attempt to repair the appliance myself, which is unacceptable for a product that is still well within its warranty period.
Under UK consumer law, customers are entitled to reasonable product quality and proper after-sales support when a fault develops within such a short period. Being completely ignored for weeks when trying to report a fault is extremely frustrating and disappointing from a major appliance brand.
At this point it feels like once the appliance is sold, customer support simply disappears. I hope Indesit reviews how it handles customer service, because leaving customers without any response for weeks is not acceptable.
Deceptive Warranty Tactics & Appalling Service (Indesit/Whirlpool/D&G
Avoid Indesit, Whirlpool, and their warranty partner Domestic & General (D&G) at all costs. I have a freezer less than 12 months old, still under guarantee, and the experience has been a masterclass in how to mistreat customers.
The compartment door catches are made of flimsy, low-quality plastic that failed under normal use. Despite being well within the 12-month guarantee, Indesit attempts to classify "poor design" as "accidental damage" so they can fleece customers for a £75–£150 repair fee.
When I called several days before my guarantee was set to expire, I was given the most dishonest advice I’ve ever heard from a "support" team: I was told to wait until the very last day of the guarantee to call back, claiming I’d have a "better argument" then. This is clearly a tactic to push customers outside of their protection window.
The "Hang-Up" Treatment:
I was hung up on three separate times by agents who were only interested in upselling me cleaning products or new insurance plans.
The parts department refused to even speak to me unless I opened my wallet to buy the parts myself.
When I requested a manager to discuss the standard of service, the agent hung up on me mid-sentence.
It is clear this company is a "sales-first, service-never" operation. They are happy to take your money for an appliance but will hide behind fine print and aggressive call-centre tactics the moment a part fails.
Save your money and your sanity: buy from a brand that actually honors its word. I will never purchase another Indesit, Whirlpool or Hotpoint product again.
Very poor
Very poor, Don’t take broke down policy. The never going to repair, you lose your money. They are unreliable, they cancel last minute my repair for no reason. I wait 1 month and nothing happens las minute they cancel,.
Utterly Useless
Never sent any working links or tracking information.
Engineer never showed up, said I "missed them" despite being in all day.
The phone service just endlessly loops you never to talk to an actual human being, and when you eventually find a way to get through you have to answer a million questions that you've already given them.
Incredibly poor customer service
Incredibly poor customer service. No complaints procedure. Never had to deal with such an awful company. Product not working less than a month after purchase and incredibly rude and unhelpful customer service. Complaints procedure non-existent. Avoid at all costs
Diabolical customer service
My tumble dryer broke. I arranged a repair via my insurance company, the engineer came yesterday January 27th, he couldn't find a parking space, he firstly suggested I PAY for a space in the car park 5 minutes away, which actually I can't afford, there is a reason my appliances are insured.... I don't even drive myself OR I could stand outside with his van while he completes the job, it was pouring with rain in my area yesterday, we have some really terrible weather, so I wasn't prepared to stand outside either, it would also mean he is unsupervised in my house for the duration of the repair and I'm sorry but as a single woman with mental health issues , I don't want men I don't know in my house unattended. I rang today to try and rebook the repair and that was itself a mission. I did not receive the confirmation email, so I went back to live chat to request it get resent. They refused to re send confirmation and told me to instead manager any alterations to my repair via the live chat. I requested a manager join the chat and the representative Hannah H, didn't just leave the chat, she closed it. And I can't re-access it. How am I supposed to manage my repair now? I am beyond angry with customer service.
The customer service I have received…
The customer service I have received from INDESIT has been absolutely deplorable & just before Christmas. On 13th December the inner door of my INDESIT cooker shattered into pieces. I lodged a call and ordered a new inner door. I had to wait until Monday 22nd December for the operator to arrive with the replacement. When he arrived, he had the WRONG door - an outer door and not the inner. This means my Christmas dinner plans have been ruined. I cannot use the smaller cooker to cook meat. I have had to purchase a slow cooker at my own expense, when it should be INDESIT who should reimburse for this expense, which has occured through their inefficiency and lousy customer services. I now have to wait another 5-10 days to wait for a replacement door. The customer service staff offered no advice, or emergency delivery.
I will NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN!
Indesit washer dryer under warranty.
Indesit washer dryer under warranty.
Rang for repair as it is not spinning and draining properly. Told I would have a £75 fee if the engineer cannot find a fault.
This is a gamble because what if they come and say there is nothing wrong even though I know my clothes are coming out suds and more wet.
It is like a £75 punishment in case I am lying- not sure who calls out engineers for no reason.
Like many others, poor.
Like many others, repair cancelled exactly when they were meant to show up. Not good enough. Took a day off work for this. Now rescheduled for a week’s time with a time slot of 8am - 11pm! Another day off work.
Atrocious Customer Service
Atrocious Customer Service. You cannot speak with them, they have a recorded message saying they cannot take your call. Does not matter what time you ring. Their live chat and whatsapp chat can be 30 minutes plus for a response and if you do not answer in 3 minutes they end the chat - convenient for them not for you when you have spent 40 minutes waiting for a response. I just want an answer about my complaint logged on the 20 October but it is worse than pulling teeth.
Faulty Fridge Freezer
I purchased an Indesit Fridge Freezer in February 2024.
It was repaired in September 2024 due to a faulty compressor and I am having issues again.
My refrigerator is freezing the food.
Indesit wants to charge me a labour fee which I do not think I should pay as they clearly sold me a faulty Fridge Freezer.
I have been trying to contact Indesit for help but the numbers provided are not available, they are unable to help me on the chat and there is no email address available to send a complaint.
Very poor service.
I'd like to give NO stars for awful customer service on the telephone and via the chat
I'd like to give NO stars. 6 month old washing machine flooded kitchen. The agent I called was not interested at all after trying the hard sell for marketing which I declined and again for a new plan again which I declined meaning she was no help. I asked to speak with someone else and was denied. So, tried online chat - he said that they were following procedures and so when I asked for complaint procedure was told that it was the same department! They do repairs and complaints - so who do you complain to I asked and he told me to have a lovely day and ended the chat!
My 10 month old fridge freezer…
My 10 month old fridge freezer developed an intermittent fault. I went through the manufacturer warranty and came back early from holiday to be here for the engineer, to find he was a 'jobsworth'. I don't know anything about appliances, but even I had pulled the thing out to have a look at the back. Something which this 'engineer' obviously couldn't be bothered to do. I was eventually forced to go through the retailer as Indesit were absolutely useless.
Immediately selling your data
Today I have registered a repair. They asked my consent for commercial emails and text messages. i always opt in so I can report companies who are breaking the GDPR in the UK. Less than 30 minutes after the call ended I started receiving scam text messages containing links that is meant to gain access to bank account details and the phone itself. it was your unlucky day indesit :D Reported. DO NOT CONSENT TO ANYTHING REGARDING YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS AND REPORT INDESIT!
I've had my new Indesit oven for six…
I've had my new Indesit oven for six weeks. It's developed a ticking noise when the oven is switched off and cold. Didn't receive notification the three hours slot so had to phone various numbers to speak to someone. Technician arrived said all new electric ovens make a constant ticking noise and therefore in his opinion there wasn't a problem. I find that very strange. I havent been given a reference number to enter in the relevant box below.
